Took my CRV to the Jackson Ave. location with a host of minor gremlins + tired brakes. Counter staff was nice, mechanics were personable, and the cost more than fair. I left feeling that they went above and beyond in my case. What more could a customer ask for? I definitely recommend this location.

I wanted oil change for my Honda Civic. I was told about $16.xx plus tax. After the oil change finished, I was charged $73.xx including tax. I complained that I was told $16.xx, plus tax it should be around $20. But the old lady insist on it was sixty not sixteen. I repeated several times sixteen but she insisted sixty. At last they took $73.xx from me. By the way, before I was told my car was ready, I heard a technician came out and talked to the cashier that something wrong with oil. I am wondering if the technician took a wrong type of oil for my oil change and charged me for their mistake. In the past 15+ years, my oil change had always be about $20.

Worst repair shop ever! Not surprised at all now that I have read other reviews about the old rude woman behind the counter. The techs also don’t know what they are doing. Avoid this shop!

I love this place! I havent taken my new to me used Envoy to anyone else. Valerie and the mechanics are awesome, friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

Very satisfied. I called for quotes, spoke to Valerie who was pleasant, courteous and efficient. Didnt make me feel like I was bothering her like some dealers do. Service was done promptly, and they even fixed a leaky tire, N/C. The cost was reasonable, the service done on time, and there was no up selling, which most folks dread. Just plain old fashioned good service. Will be my go-to repair shop in the future.

I pulled into the parking lot to ask them a few questions about getting new brakes. Before I even speak or get ut of my car an older lady came out and told me I couldnt park there and that it was private parking. I felt pretty attacked and that she didnt give me a chance to even ask about my brakes. Needless to say Im taking my business elsewhere!

They list services available on there website but when you call to set it up they say they dont do that.

The mechanic at this location was really cool, he told me what was wrong with my car and his assessment of the urgency to fix it, basically he was straight up. The front desk girl tho did go on to quote me on new brakes and couple other things I know was just replaced.

This review is overdue and also deserved. It was extremely cold (and later at night) - my tire pressure was low and none of the air dispensers worked at the gas station. I stopped at Midas and they opened the shops, filling my tire. I appreciated this very much and would go back again.

To echo someone else’s review, incredibly rude about parking. Really ruined my day and will not be using them in the future. Also, not a mask in sight in the garage if that’s important to you.

Im updating my previous 5 star review from 4 years ago based on my last few visits. The mechanics that work there are absolutely amazing. Unfortunately the woman that works in the front office is too terrible to deal with for me to ever return. Its too bad, because I trust the guys in the shop so much - but I wont be treated poorly and made to feel uncomfortable for a good mechanic.

Mixed reviews with them. They gave me a very affordable oil change with free tire rotation, five stars. Also had a muffler replaced by them. The store brand they used is much louder than the stock muffler, not at all what I wanted, one star.

Came in and needed the air in my tires checked. Did that for free also looked over my tires tread to make sure it was ok and checked out my oil... all for free. Thank you very much!

Saved me over $500.00 from the dealership quote. The repair took much longer to complete than estimated, but they didnt charge any more than the estimate. Very happy with the repairs.

I was up a creek without a paddle when my car recently developed a severe problem. I took my car to Midas and the problem was fixed in 2 hours for a reasonable cost. This is not the first time they have helped me. The other time my windshield wipers suddenly stopped working in the rain. They fixed that on the spot as well. Very kind people.

Got new spark plugs and they broke my inside light so now it hangs and also my car just stopped starting after they serviced it. They said they would look at my car but at this point i dont trust midas.

They checked everything for free, but expected I leave the car after the inspection. The waiting room is filthy, so many stain on the couch. No water or coffee while I had to wait two hours for the inspection. The price estimation seems reasonable, but not sure about the quality

These guys are awesome! I have been taking my POS Dodge Neon here for years and they always give me honest feedback about repairs and maintenance it needs. They do great work in a timely manner and never try to charge me for unnecessary repairs like so many auto shops do. Jim (the manager) and Shaun always help me out, but all the mechanics are just wonderful :)

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT -- I used to drive all the way across town just to have my car worked on here, but since its under new management theyve started to recommend unnecessary and expensive repairs. An internet search makes it easy to determine the specific repairs they recommend (replace axle due to torn CV boot, etc.) are absolutely a waste of money. There are other garages in the area that are trustworthy. I will not take my car to this garage again. Its too bad, because they used to be competent, fair, and honest. I blame the management and not the people working there.

We got breaks done on our van and a engine put into our Mercury Mountaineer. The price quoted continued to rise to an extra $400 and almost 2 weeks passed the date (and I understand that people get sick, but when you tell me a date and then continue to change it). My only issue is when it was time to pick it up we would get a call saying they wasnt done yet. The people are friendly but this location doesnt offer coupon savings like other locations, you would think if someone spends over $5000 in parts and labor that they could at least get a $30 off coupon or car wash lol, especially since I put extra gas in the loaner car they gave me. My husband is satisfied but I guess I had higher expectations considering its in the Ann Arbor area

Had a problem with my side mirror and stopped by to see if they could fix it. They fixed it while I stood there, and the price was right. This is my second VERY happy experiences with this Midas location, and I have no hesitation in highly recommending them.

Ed took excellent care of me, keeping me informed throughout the process of getting winter tires mounted, wheels balanced, etc. Ive never been to a shop where they pay more attention to detail or are willing to walk the customer through and explain things step by step. Ill be going back to get my all season tires back on in the Spring.

I went to have a lifetime muffler replaced and was told of something else which was a possible problem. In the midst of the conversation it was implied that the warranty was voided by the fact that the muffler was welded on. After much trouble between this and another muffler shop, I finally had the muffler replaced. I had to decline several times the repair of a part that had just been repaired by my mechanic (that morning). There was too much time (days) used to get a simple warranty replacement. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

Decent service, but it took too many repeat trips to fix my car, plus they managed to strip my lug nuts, but at least they replaced them for free.

Its first come-first served, but they can give you an estimate of the wait time. I sat and used their wifi for 45 mins or so while they did a FREE inspection. They took me into the garage, explained and pointed out a critical safety hazard, which I had repaired; other things that would eventually require attention; a minor exhaust leak that I could repair myself, etc. They seemed to have a really reasonable practical approach, good prices, and an efficient front desk operation. Ill be back.

Ive visited this store on several occasions now, mostly owing to the professional, competent and honest work done by Dave Dohn. Its almost impossible to find a mechanic who does his job well and isnt attempting to scam the customer with lesser knowledge than themselves.

I was appalled by the lack of professionalism displayed by staff. I brought my car in for diagnostic testing to confirm what I expected to be wrong with my vehicle. The quote they offered me was outrageous, $1700, given the defective part was only roughly $43. Being a responsible consumer, I checked other car service providers prior to stopping at this Midas location and mentioned this to the mechanic. Other car repair shops estimates ranged from $480-520. The mechanic actually laughed in my face and began walking away when I told him the other quotes I had received. I will NEVER go to Midas again and I advise all others too consider alternative repair shops.

Hire people with some manners. Old lady behind the counter was rude.

After taking my vehicle to a local repair shop that charged me around $250 to try to repair my leaking power steering fluid, I was told replacing the power steering line didnt solve the problem and that I needed a new rack and pinion. I decided to take my van here to see if they had a different opinion. At first they agreed that was probably it, but after looking at it they called me back and said Who just replaced your power steering line? After telling them they laughed and said they left a piece of plastic over the pump preventing the fluid from getting through. They could have easily ripped me off and didnt, they did find a leak in an old line and replaced it, only after they took me into the repair bay and showed me the crack. I had a long talk with the manager there and he was the coolest repair guy ever. Said he has no need to rip people off because they get enough business and it makes him sleep well at night. He also said he may not be the absolute cheapest in town, but that hes definitely the best. I completely trust them with my vehicle and had a great experience here.
