Where is the dedicated return desk????? I have been twice, driven 20 miles, and one long line for purchasing AND customer service. I have now left twice unable to wait for the LONG line to return goods. I love BBB but giving up on this store and will drive to Brighton.
I love bed bath and beyond but this particular store has perhaps the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I am absolutely appalled. I am sad to say this is my first negative review.I called this store to speak with an associate regarding my wedding registry. The first woman to answer said who are you holding for? Before I could answer, she hung up. On my second call, a male answered and asked again, who I was holding for. Not knowing what to say, I answered that I only needed to talk to an associate. With the most rude and condescending demeanor, this man demanded I tell him who Id like to speak with. Before I could answer - he slammed the phone to hang up on me.My Fiance, who was on the call with me, and I were astonished at how disrespectful the store associates were to us when we called to ask a simple question. This store is lacking in its ability to provide thoughtful and considerate customer service. Please be aware, the ability to be kind and courteous is absent in those who man the customer helpline.I truly wonder if the stores manager is aware of this.
No tea kettles/teapots. Verified with service desk, but they didnt know anything. 1 brand of stove-top expresso pot. Low in stock in a few other areas, too. Average prices and quality.

I bought a Wamsutta Hotel duvet cover about 3 years ago. The buttons had fallen off. I brought them in to get replaced under the lifetime warranty. The store manager, Elizabeth, and said that she probably didnt carry the same product, but that I could go take a look what other Wamsutta products she had. She replaced my old one and gave me the new one. I was really happy that did right by the customer and didnt make it too complicated for me.
Incredibly narrow selection of colour palettes, youd think if you want an orange bath towel this would be the place. Only go here if you want drab colors from yesteryear
The mgmt. team doesnt know the proper procedures of how to treat Senior Citizens!! I feel that some of them are very DISRESPECTFUL!!!

I placed an order for same day delivery, and received confirmation of delivery the next day. The problem is that my order had not arrived. I tried calling the 1-800 help line, and was instructed to look around by a robotic answer and that it might appear up to 48 hours after being classified as delivered. After 48 hours I again called the 1-800 number and could not get a person on the line to help resolve the issue. I tried contacting the store branch it was ordered from, but they were only able to direct me to the 1-800 number.
They were extremely helpful when my Mom got the wrong coffee machine sand lost recipe. They were understanding and though corporate policy made 20% come off the price, I was able to solve the problem and get them the right coffee maker.

Today was a terrible experience. I went directly to the Customer Service counter where Robert was working to assist a problematic customer. I was ignored for the better part of a half hour while I waited in line for assistance. I arrived at approximately 5:17 and was not helped until 5:43.While I stood in line, I observed these things: Scott (manager?) walked by me four times while I was waiting there and never acknowledged me. The third time he walked by, he assisted Robert temporarily with the customer. A little while longer thereafter, Robert apologized to me for the extraordinarily long wait and said they would be with me as soon as possible. This was the first time I was acknowledged. There were two people who came to the checkout lanes to assist customers. At least 6 customers went through those lanes while I continued to wait at Customer Service. All of those other customers arrived after I did. Colleen finally approached me to assist and proceeded to argue with and interrupt me repeatedly while I was talking. What happened to treating customers with some common decency?I provided my receipt for the return and was advised that I had to have an ID to make the return. In light of the situation with Covid-19, I have not been carrying my purse into stores on routine stops like this to avoid additional points of exposure and had to go out to my car to get my ID and return to the store. She said she had to do some paperwork while I went to the car anyway. Upon my return, I noticed that she had written down the last 4 digits of my credit card on my receipt and some other information, and she then demanded the card I had used for the purchase. Of course I did not have that card with me as she did not tell me at the time I went out for the ID that I would need the credit card as well. I told her that I had the number in my phone on my bank app asked if I could provide it that way, and I proceeded to look the number up on my banking app. Colleen went to go get Scott. Instead of approaching me kindly, Scott reprimanded me for not having the card in my possession at that minute and further reprimanded me for “yelling” at Colleen. He didn’t afford me the opportunity to tell him my side of the story—simply approached me aggressively, accusing me of yelling at her and proceeding with being nasty and condescending to me as well.I do not understand why it mattered whether I had a credit card. Given that I had a receipt that had all of my personal information on it which matched the ID I produced AND given that I asked for the refund to be applied to the card of purchase AND given that I produced all the necessary information related to said credit card, whether I had a piece of plastic with the number on it should have been completely irrelevant. I don’t recall having to have the credit card in the past for returns I’ve made at Bed Bath & Beyond with a receipt nor do I recall having to produce an ID to make a return. Competitors don’t require such information. If this is the policy to do so, wouldn’t it have been possible for Scott to have KINDLY told me that this was the policy instead of his nasty, condescending approach to dealing with me because I didn’t happen to have the card in hand in this particular visit? And, couldn’t Colleen have simply informed me of the policy to start out with to avoid this confrontation altogether?I don’t believe that this is the way people should be treated when trying to make a simple return with a receipt. I would appreciate being treated respectfully when I’m in a store. We all deserve to be treated kindly. This was unacceptable.
Normally an easy customer to please but I am extremely unhappy with their new return policy that is posted in a long and very small text at each register. apparently if you have opened an item from their store, you cannot return or exchange in any fashion without a receipt. when I asked for the reason I was told it was bc BBB has lost money when returning items without receipts. I got this as a present and it was bought with cash, my 85 year old gramma cant find the receipt. so now what? I throw it away? being told by the manager that she is absolutely ok with me walking out unhappy and feeling ripped off vs them taking responsibility for their broken product was hurtful and wrong. im glad BBB saved a couple bucks vs keeping a long time customer. ill never shop here again and clearly they dont care.

I tried to enjoy my time there but an old lady approached me and she was so annoying! Following me, making suggestions that I never asked for. Then she make a huge deal when I was trying to show her my coupon from my cellphone. She got rude and not helpful at all. Her name es Rosa.

Its been our second visit to the store. The first was before the U of Michigan freshman move-in day. Boy, they were busy but I liked the way they managed the tremendous rush that day. The staff was patient, friendly, answering all questions patiently and offered help and suggestions. We had placed things on hold much earlier and they were ready for pickup on the day, all neatly loaded in a cart, ready to go, and we hadnt even pre-paid for them. The store also very thoughtfully stocks up things that college students need. And to top it all, the prices were amazing!Today, it was much quieter and the regular prices have come back (much higher now) but we are grateful for the way the store really catered to entering freshmen and their parents such as ourselves. S one-stop-shop indeed with great service, selection, and prices!

Oh my gosh, I am in love with the vast collection of kitchen, bedding and bathing items they have in store here in Ann Arbor. When we recently moved in to the city and discovered this store, it was a great experience to find such a diverse collection of stuff for setting up a new home. Beautiful quality of things and lots to explore, one can easily spend hours in this store and not get bored!

Manager wouldn’t return $40 item with itemized receipt (less than 30 days since purchase), gave my husband a hard time and insisted on store credit. It’s a shame because we did our wedding registry here. I will not recommended this store to anyone and I will no longer be supporting BBB once this credit is used.

When I walked in the store an employee named Steven was right there, I tried to ask him where I go for an order pick up and he just gave me a dirty look and just kinda stared at me, when I looked behind him I said oh there it is, he literally rolled his eyes and kept walking. I got in line to pick up the order, (if it was my order I wouldve cancelled and left but I was picking up for someone else) George was the cashier and he was very polite, friendly and helpful. When they come couldnt find the order they actually called for Steven on the walkie talkies and he never came so they ended up just pulling one from the shelves.
I went to get a replacement coffee pot they did not have it in stock so they shipped one to me free of charge and I received it Within 3 days. Im death and that was really I was surprised to get help with someone that has patience!

I was trying to use a gift card there yesterday. They couldn’t figure out how to use it, since it was for multiple different stores. I called the gift card company who assured me there was a balance and it was still good. I left the store without items and no help. I told them I’d be coming back to purchase my items. When I returned, they sold my stuff. Management is absolutely useless. I will never return to this store ever again.

Nice try, I bought close to 200.00 dollars worth of products and they tell me the 20% coupon was just used in Columbus Ohio that morning, it was now 11:00 am. When I tried to use it and they couldnt understand why I wouldnt complete the sale
Staff member that helped us with the on line order of the pan and knife set, however notification of delivery was not given and we were just lucky the items weren’t stolen off the porch.

BBB still charges 20% more than most places despite them having 10% coupons instead of the 20% they used to have. Such a strange business model from my perspective. Really, I am surprised they continue to survive -- this is the exact sort of store that should be run out of business by Walmart, Target, and Amazon.

Dont go into this store very often. Always have staff on hand to help you in any way they can. Cashier at registers get you out in record time. Just cant say enough about much I like shopping here. I live across town, otherwise I would shop there every day.
Great customer service, and the employees on the floor were very helpful. We never even have to look for anyone to help us the employees came to us and asked us if we needed help. This is a very nice place to shop.
I will never order from them online again. I ended up not needing one of my items. It took multiple trips and a lot of calls to finally have it refunded in store.The manager at the Jackson Crossing location went above and beyond for me in the end☺️

We went here to register for our wedding and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is the wide selection of products to choose from and it can be slightly overwhelming but overall it was a fun experience. I definitely recommend checking them out.

I am so disappointed.. I registered here for my wedding shower and thought I would have a great experience. Every time I called with questions they would transfer me to someone in the department I needed and they would never answer, so It would go back to the main line. The main line would transfer me again and i went back and fourth atleast 4 times before she finally walked to go get someone to answer. This happens every time I call. I registered for my kitchen set, it came with 4 dinner plates, 4 little dinner plates, 4 bowls and 4 coffee cups. We got them in May at our wedding shower but didn’t use them till after our wedding which was the end of August (as that is our family tradition, to wait till after the wedding to use our wedding shower stuff) and we already have two cups chipped and 1 cracked and chipped down the side and one is turning colors, 2 little plates that have shattered into pieces, and one of the big plates have chipped on the side. It hasn’t even been 6 months and they are already doing all of this and to top it off they said I should bring everything in, including the two shattered plates and they can “maybe” do something about it. I may possibly have to pay for them to replace them. I didn’t think to keep them, I threw them away thinking ”why would I keep two shattered plates?” But I will happily bring them everything else that we still have. The lady who helped us register said these things are shatter/crack proof and if anything happens they will just replace them. The way that the two plates shattered was from when I was doing dishes and dropped them in the sink because they get very slick and one cup chipped from bumping on the side of our shelf as we put it away. Thought we could bump it on something and it wasn’t supposed to hurt it?? Plus, we bought a coffee pot about three months and it is already acting up. It keeps shutting off halfway through the brew and will beep acting as if the coffee is done brewing. Every time we go there and need help we have to search and hunt someone down to help us. My husband and I are very disappointed. Guess I’ll be going back to my Walmart coffee maker that lasted two years and was cheaper. I am not trying to be rude, but I am truly disappointed! I wish that we could enjoy our kitchen set that we got as we now have to buy a new set.
What is not to like about this place? The staff is friendly, the lines move fast even if theyre long and the number of products they carry is enormous. They always seem to have great clearance stuff and the As Seen on TV section has all those do-dads from late night commercials, that you wanted to try but didnt want to pay the exorbitant shipping fee.

I was really disappointed by BB&B today! I went in to buy more of a beard oil I that bought there several months ago (Wild Willies, which is not only a fantastic product but a great buy at 2 oz. for $9.99!), and when I got to the beard care shelf, I saw a space for it, a tag for it, and no product. So, I thought I would check in with store personnel, to see if more was available in stock. None was to be had. The young lady looked in the computer, said that none was on order, offered to special order the product for me (with an additional charge for shipping to the store, which did not impress me much), then upon further research, proceeded to tell me that this wasnt even possible, as their website indicated the item was in store only. I thanked her for her time and said Id try Amazon, which I did when I got home. Within a minute, what I wanted was being shipped to me (free shipping!), and will be here before the weekend ends.This is why Ive stopped feeling bad when brick & mortar retailers go under. If theyre too lazy to keep in tune with their customers needs and wont keep products that sell on the shelves, then those retailers dont deserve my business.

I will NEVER shop this store again!! I understand, when organizations change policy, and I can be ok with it. But how I was treated by the overly large woman at check out, and how she communicated that change to me was completely uncalled for, and unprofessional. She was snotty and condescending!!!! She treated me as though there was no reason for me to not already know about the company not accepting coupons on ones phone, at checkout, and as though I was trying to get away with something devious. Employees like her are the reason I stop giving my business to companies. There are way too many other options out there, with much better pricing and more courteous customer service.
