I came today to return some amazon orders. The indian guy works there was super super rule to me. Instead of explaining the instruction how to pack the return order he told me to open the amazon app and read the instruction by myself and pay him 1$ for sealing the order or go home and seal it yourself. I was so mad and went home to seal it instead of paying 1$ because he was so so rule. I wish i never have to come here again. Ups please please train your employees about customer service.

Lost multiple orders ... wont help. Dropped off 7 items in the last month. Got tracking receipts for all of them. 4 of the 7 were lost in shipping. I called the local store and was told it shipped when giving the numbers. I asked why the online system says only label printed? He said Id have to call corporate. In one of the cases, he told me the shipped date he was seeing and it was 4 days before I brought in the package!!! I asked for an explanation (since thats not possible unless they own a time machine - my receipt has the drop off time and date on it) and was only told Id have to call corporate. Were privately owned. Not our fault. I complained that it appears theres no reason to use this store because you can help me when something goes wrong. Never once an apology stated. Now I have 4 UPS packages that are floating somewhere ... I dont have confidence the label even made it on to the package, as when I dropped 2 of them off, they just laid the package on the floor, and set the label on top of it or near it. A slight breeze could blow the label onto the wrong item or off into space. It all seems quite careless to me.

First experiencing this situation at shipping store! So, I usually go to a different UPS in Clive, but I went to this store since they were never-by. Prior to going in, I called to let them know that I will be coming in to ship a 65” LG TV. They acknowledged my request. When we went in, they told us that they would have to customized a box to fit my TV, which will cost me $120 plus shipping fee, but if we bring our own box, then we’ll be okay. So, My helper and I went to Home Depot (right across the street from this UPS). I bought a TV box that carries up to 85” TV with all the sponges and TV protectors. When we got back to the UPS store, the cashier told us that she cannot use a box that was made by the customer. I argued “Ma’am, you’ve told us to either pay $120 for your customized box or go bring our own, which made us go right across the street to purchase a specialized TV box, and now you’re telling me you can’t use it? We didn’t make it, we bought it from Home Depot, Pre made for TV.” She apologized and agreed to use the box. We was charged $365 shipping fee. Prior to leaving the store I requested that we turn on the TV just for inspection (3 times I requested this)! I was told “it’s okay Ma’am, we trust our customers.” I repeated myself “I get it that you trust your customers, I also appreciate you trusting me, but I want to be able to trust that my TV is safe with UPS. This store refused my request, and kept saying “Ma’am your TV will be safe.” Wasn’t even a hour when they called me telling “Ma’am your TV is damaged you need to come see this and tell us what you want us to do.”After ensuring that the damn TV will be safe with them and that it won’t be shipped until Thursday or Friday, which they will then provide a tracking number via my email address). I was stressed and frustrated when I saw my expensive TV broken in the hands of UPS professionals. On top of that, the associate was very disrespectful towards us. I then request to see their supervisor, the disrespectful associate told us that he was the supervisor. I then requested to see his manager, he stated “I’m the supervisor, I’m the manager, you need to take your TV out of here there’s nothing we can do for you (while yelling and pointing his box cutter knife which was in his hands prior to our arrival at this (after hour store). With an associate who claimed to be both supervisor/manager, yelling at a customer who was stressed/frustrated over her expensive TV being broke by a professional shipping company, I thought it was wise to step away from him and called the cops, who told us that “this UPS store is independently owned.” The cops then advised us to call the corporate office or file a lawsuit with the small court.” This is one stressful incident that I do NOT wish upon anyone!PLEASE TAKE YOUR SHIPPING BUSINESS TO FEDEX OR A WELL MANAGED/CARING LOCATION! DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!

My wife and I used this facility all the time to mail things and when I returned a phone to my wireless provider it never made it to its location... I find it suspicious that a drop off going to Verizon mysteriously got “lost” and did not make it to its final destination in like three months! I definitely will not be using the services from this facility anymore and I do not recommend it to anyone for drop offs.

My package was mistakenly sent to an old address in Ankeny, IA. The person who lived at that address brought the package to this UPS store. I was able to call and they found my package and were able to send it to me in Minnesota! They called me back and made me feel like my situation was very important to them, after not getting good service when I called the 1800 number for UPS. The employees at this store changed my opinion of UPS by their EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! THANKS!!

When I walk in and the employee continues to stare at her phone and send multiple text messages before even acknowledging me, I have an issue. I waited multiple minutes for her to finish on her phone before she even bothered to look up. POOR SERVICE

I want to point out that half of the 1 star reviews have no association with this store but rather UPS Corporation and driver deliveries.The other 1 star ratings are coming from people whom are upset that its a BUSINESS! Not a charity. You should expect to pay for their services when you go into the store, nothing is free.That being said, this store is very quick and convenient for many reasons.They have many printing services including binding, posters/vinyl banners, business cards. Offer a variety of shipping and packaging options, as well as fax and scanning services.Not to mention their mailboxes allow delivery of all carries - USPS, FedEx, and UPS.Give this place a shot if you havent already, I worked for this store and other UPS store locations for over 6 years.

Poorest excuse for a shipping/ packaging store I have ever been in. I waited for over a half an hour just to get up to the counter. There were 3 people at the count an only 1 knew want she was doing. She was waiting on me. After she walked away from me the 4th time I left. I will never go back to this store!

Manager/owner Viss was extremely rude. I had prepaid packages and dropped them off and asked for receipt and he said that they were too busy to do that and to take picture of my packages instead. So I did and of my packages in the store and he got extremely upset. Told me to take my packages to Staples until I said I was going to call UPS. I would go out of my way to find another UPS store or just go to Staples has he suggested. Do not care to give him business. Best part he could have printed receipt in the time he tried to argue with me.

I arrived at this store at 2:03 because website said they were open until 2:30. Door was locked, sign showed closed at 2:00. 3 Employees were inside and wouldnt open. I told them website showed a 2:30 close...guy shrugged and walked away. Ridiculous!

When no one else was willing to take a look at a section of our granite countertop that had shifted---not even the original seller/installer, Kitchen and Bath Solutions came in and re-leveled it. Danes work was precise and professional and we are extremely pleased. Definitely a Five-STAR company!!!

This review is about this location, not UPS in general. My company has a UPS account number. Ankeny UPS Store would not take the account number and wanted me to pay cash or credit card. They said the closest place that would take the account number instead of payment is at the official UPS location in Des Moines. What good is it to have UPS in your name if you can’t do what UPS does? If they are worried about fraudulent use, there are ways to avoid this. They just lost my business.

I had an issue with an international package that i sent out from this location about a week ago. I was able to have my sister stop by first thing the next morning to help me sort it out as the documents were very time sensitive. Sarah did a really great just job of helping us and following up (!!) to make sure everything was good to go. She was SUPER helpful and im very impressed with her customer service and would totally recommend her help. Thank you!!

I have gone to other UPS locations in the past and went here for convenience. I had many items to ship. With incoming customers, besides myself, they were great at multitasking. The employees have great customer service and explained everything to me in detail. I would come here again.

I would give zero stars if I could. I took a package into the store that UPS failed to pick up at my home and was treated very rudely by the guy behind the counter. He talked to me as if I were a child and told me they could not print a label for me and that I would have to call UPS. Umm, you are UPS and you advertise that you print labels. It was the most ridiculous thing. If you have to deal with UPS, go to another location.

I went in with a very weird issue. One of the labels that gets placed on my packages at the main hubs was incorrect so my packages were getting delivered to someone elses house. The shipping labels were always correct. The lady that helped me was extremely helpful in working to help me resolve this.

I’ve had SEVERAL problems with packages actually arriving to my apartment complex. They say the package is delivered, but it is never outside my door, in a parcel box, or at the leasing office’s front desk. My partner and I both try calling or speaking to someone online and the system takes us around in circles, never resolving anything or giving us an answer as to where our package is. This problem never occurs with FedEx or USPS. UPS should take notes and learn a few things from these companies that are successful with their deliveries.

Walk in with a prepaid package. Employee at the counter with beard and black eye glass frames was helping with a customer dropping off an item on a business account for someone else and acknowledged me as I walked in. Took just a moment for it to register with him that I was just dropping off and he asked, to verify, without skipping a beat, helping, with the first customer. I respond, yes and I want to verify it will scan. He said, yep, just bring it over here. Do you want a receipt?, yes, I said.It took me less time to drop off than it did for me to write this. Not once did he stop helping the first customer. This employee knows the processes and system at #UPS. I also have to give credit to #UPS for developing a system where an employee can process multiple requests with ease. If they could not overlap processes with split second response from the computer then it would be a nightmare logistically.Perhaps not all employees know how to do this with their system, or have understood the concept if explaind to them and this one should be given a raise and promotion to training other individuals on how-to maximize effeciency. Not once have I ever seen #USPS or #FedEx process multiple customers to a single employee.

Terribly run business that doesnt put the customer first. If youre a fan of disappointment and unprofessionalism, youve found the right place!Ordered a canvas print for my wifes birthday and about everything went wrong. An employee, Nick, quoted me an approximate price for my request. When I went to go pick it up (they called me 15 minutes before close and expected me to get there in time, I needed it that day) the print was on the wrong material, it was the wrong style, and it was double the price I was quoted. Despite all my arguments they still never acknowledged their own wrongs and mistakes in the order and still made me pay double. I gave in cause it was my wifes birthday and this was her present. I left and I wont ever come back.They probably run a lot of prints and to keep customers they can probably afford to let one slide. Even when it was the fault of the employee not an difficult customer. No attempt to make it up to me after the print was already messed up. Thats not good business at all.

Incompotent mess from end to end. Charged $350 to pack ship my package. More than half of the items came broken. Provided photo and video evidence. Investigators wanted to go to my customers house to inspect further. They didnt call to set an appointment. They showed up and left missed package notifications. The last said items will be returned to sender. He left work early to go to the warehouse to discover they were trying to view damaged items. No one from UPS called to schedule the meeting, I told them they would need to. I gave them a window when hed be available (after 6:30). They just showed up when they wanted and left a generic missed package slip on his door.Further my items were to be packed in two boxes and insured for $800.00. They crammed them into one box and cut my insurance down to $400.The staff is polite...but this process is broken or fradulent. Issue details and communication are not flowing properly.

Zach was responsive and helpful on the phone and through email. He helped my mother (senior citizen) with some documents I emailed to them and he printed and he also let her fill the documents out at the store and faxed them back to me. All for less than $20.

These guys at the Ankeny UPS store were great! At 11:30 am on Monday, Jan. 8, we came in for a bid to ship 38-40 boxes of books from Ankeny to Fayeteville, NC; by 3:30 pm, the men had picked up the books. That evening the books were on a palette ready to be shipped. The books arrived to their destination on Friday, Jan. 12--the projected date! The job was accomplished! Moreover, the men at the Ankeny UPS store were friendly, helpful, and willing to please. YES! We recommend them!

Brought item in to be packed, insured and shipped on 11/6/2017, item received damaged. They started the claim right away and than nothing happened. I was approved on 11/19/2017, the store never filed the paperwork correctly. Ive been emailing Nick back and forth, but only lip service. UPS will not really give out the info, I went to store on 12/11/2017. I asked for the store owners name, she gave it to me. Bindiya Patel, so I looked it up. No phone number, just an address. So I went there in a non threatening manor. I just wanted to let her know how her store is run. I was in her garage and she asked me in. Wrote down tracking number and my phone number, said her daughter would call me (Narottam Chavda.) Nick calls from the store screaming at me, I never had anyone go to my boss. This is called the chain of command, it is used in the service. If I cant get an answer from you, I go to your boss to get it. He informed me that the owner Narottam Chavda is consider filing harassment charges. I let Nick know, that they have my address and it would be ok. Nick filed the paper again on 12/11/2017 and it is still incorrect. I did call UPS cooperate office and filed a complaint about this store. I will never be able to use UPS services again. When I order anything on line, will not be from UPS. Once they figure out the paperwork it will still be ten to fifteen days to get my money. There are two other shipping carriers, that would be happy to have my money. They emailed and said check ready on December 22, 2017. They we suppose to send the check to me. I emailed and asked hours on January 2, 2018, there response is they now need 24 to 48 hours notice. Called cooperate UPS for more no help, they need 96 hours to have it ready. When you send something there, they should have a disclaimer like this. If we do a sudstadard packing job and item is damaged, you will need to wait 60 days!
