Theres nothing that could be said about Mother Teresa that couldnt be said about Nick. The community of Ankeny is truly a better place to live with Nick keeping our blades sharp and our small engines humming.

Great hardware store! They have about everything you need from tools, lawn mowers, grilling and smokers and everything you would expect from a hardware store. Very very helpful as soon as you walk in and will help you find what you need.

Absolute best customer service from anyone in town. And everytime I go in someone says hello and asks if I need help. Prices may be slightly higher than some of the big box stores but I have no problems buying anything I need from these folks because of their willingness to answer questions and excellent customer service. This store is LEGIT. This reminds me of how Ace Hardware stores were back in the day. The staff. Always helpful here. Incredibly knowledgeable. If they dont know the answer or cant find a part -- theyll do what it takes. The outdoor grill section is outstanding. The selection is sensational. Their small engine department services a wide array of models as well.No, it doesnt have everything under the sun as a big box store would. And its not fair to expect them to. This is mom and pops Americana-style service, support and selection. I am a regular patron of this fantastic local Ace. These owner/operators are doing it the RIGHT way.

I called about a spring tune up for a lawn mower. Was told about a $99 spring mower maintenance package. I took my mower in for this service. When I picked my mower up, the charge was $ 135.00! Beware of shop fee and labor fees that they do not let you know about in the quote!! If I had been aware of these fees I would have shopped around for other estimates!

I’d been to two big box stores to purchase a snow blower and could not find anyone to help. By chance, I stopped into Ace and not only got an education, but found the exact model I was looking for and $50 less than anywhere else in town. They assembled it, added oil and gas to ensure it would start, processed the warranty card, and delivered for free! Top notch service!

I have an ace hardware sump pump that failed. I didn’t have a receipt that is my fault but they wouldn’t help me out at all. I was going to buy a better pump since mine was only 2 years old which they said they had in stock I drove out there and they couldn’t find it and said sorry for your luck we can order you one for Wednesday...... my sump pump doesn’t work I’m not waiting 4 days. Needless to say won’t be using this location again

Ive been there twice, once for key duplication, once for everything needed for replacing a mailbox. Once was during business hours, the other was right after. Both times the store was bright and seemed clean and organized. Both times the staff were friendly and helped take me to what I needed in the store, talked about different options when available and were able to find answers for my questions reasonably fast even when they really didnt need to know (example: the postal service requirements for mailbox placement). The only bad thing I might say is its hard to get there if you dont know the block well. But I think the employees and service make it worth the small hassle.

Always a helpful staff. Prices tend to be a little higher than big box stores but for ease of shopping as well worth it. Theres always somebody available to help if you cant find something. If youre looking for any Weber grill items this is the perfect place they have tons of stock!

Nice store,very friendly people. Would have given it 5 stars except that it is difficult to get in and out of the parking lot. Also I bought the exact bolt at one other store and it was .15 cents less expensive at the other store. I know that not a lot of $$$$ but for me it was an indicator of what the other prices of product might be compared to the competition.
