The candy you see in the compartments are charged per bag of candy and they encourage you to fill it 100% full. They dont charge based on weight for those.Japanese candy, small assortment, on a showcase towards the back wall. Closest to the fridge.There are sodas lining the bottom of the shelves all around the room. Cold ones available in the fridges. They have more soda flavors than Ive seen anywhere else.

This is a very fun shop with lots of nostalgic candies and gifts. You wont get bored going in here, and if your looking for signs, this is the place! The walls are covered with them. Nice selection of collectibles, and I have never seen such a huge variety of sodas in my life!

Fun, interesting store that sells things you didnt know you needed. You will literally feel like a kid in a candy store. I can spend hours just looking at the strange and funny items they carry.

What a blast from the past! The feelings of nostalgia are worth the short drive alone! They have almost anything you can think of when it comes to flavors from your childhood. Make sure you schedule at least a half an hour to check out all the cool stuff they have!

Coming to Rocket Fizz is always a highlight of any trip to Ankeny. Theyve got a good selection, and Ive discovered some new things I wouldnt otherwise have gotten to try. Especially love their British and Asian candy sections. A must-stop if you havent already stopped in.

Such a great candy store! There is so much variety and novelty items in addition to the old fashioned candy youd expect from a traditional candy store. The owner was friendly. I called in advanced looking for a specific item, and he kindly answered all my questions. He knows his products well.

Cool store and truly a childs/kids paradise. Eclectic. Pricing for the most part is ok, but some items are def over-priced. Still a cool store to go visit and staff are usually fun and kind.

The only place in the metro that has Bawls! Found a lot of other items that caught my attention once I visited. Want a sucker with a scorpion? Want a new carbonated beverage, something Hy-Vee doesnt carry? Want a nice mix or new candies for your party? Gag gifts? This place is an adult candy store but child friendly. Great place!

Huge fan of Rocket Fizz. Enormous selection of candies, and rare sodas from all over the country and even the world. Im a sucker for Hanks Root Beer, and Green Rivers so Rocket Fizz is one of my favorite stores in Ankeny! Great service as well. Staff is friendly, and very helpful.

Very much enjoyed browsing your large selection of sodas. Was also a delight for a root beer lover. Most sodas are priced the same unless something really special, and they had discounts for buying in larger quantities.

Rocket Fizz has friendly and helpful staff, great deals on bulk candy, and tons of memorabilia and gag gifts! I pick up a new flavor of soda every time, from the weirder flavors (bacon, Thanksgiving dinner, etc) to different brands of old favorites (rootbeer, cream soda)!

Very kind owner, obscure soda and fun selection! We came stumbled upon it yesterday, on our way from Ames. We left a variety of taffy, our favorite gummies and a delicious orange cream soda. We will be back! They also sell unique posters, and oldies memorabilia that line the walls. It will be worth your while stopping in!😀👌🏻😎

Old timey feeling candy store, with items I was pleasantly surprised with.

Awesome selection, it is somewhat cluttered, but the sodas are sort of grouped together, root beers together next to cream sodas, next to ginger ales, etc. You can pretty much find any flavor of soda youd like, plus just about any candy, and if they dont have it you can ask and they can try to get it in stock.

They have lots and lots of weird sodas (grass flavored, pickle, mustard, pb&j) and all sorts of weird toys.
