I have a mixed review. Both my daughters (bride and maid of honor) bought their dresses at Bridal Connection. The bride had a great experience and was more than satisfied with her dress, the staff, and the once-in-a-lifetime experience. My other daughter, MOH, had the exact opposite experience. We trusted the shop’s expertise about sizing. The consultant recommended a dress three dress sizes larger than she had ever worn before, but we talked them into two sizes larger, even though our instincts told us the size was still way too big. Then, we had major problems with alterations (which were quite expensive). We made three trips that were more than 90 minutes each way, and we got the dress shown on the left. I refused a fourth trip to BC and chose a respected wedding seamstress close to home. It took several hours and several attempts to fix while we waited, but we got the exact result we were looking for (top right).I recommend Bridal Connection if the dress you choose needs only minor alterations.

I had an amazing experience! I had Tam and she and the owner mad my entire appointment. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Found “the dress” on the first appointment. Will be bringing my bridesmaids and groomsmen back for all of their wedding needs as well. 10/10 recommend.

Tammy and the owner are extremely knowledgeable and seriously the sweetest! I thought finding the perfect dress was going to be stressful and that it would take me months. However, I found the absolute perfect dress on my first appointment here! I told Tammy what I envisioned and she nailed it! I cannot wait for it to be delivered!

I was so nervous to pick out my dress for the big day because I was very particular in what I wanted. Tammy was amazing, and helped me find the dress! She soothed my mind letting me know they were able to make the alterations I wanted. This place felt so comfortable, and stress free. I highly recommend Bridal Connection! I had an amazing experience at Bridal Connections. I visited several shops in the area and this one stood out. I felt truly valued the whole time I was there. My consultant Erin was just fantastic and really understood my style and what I was looking for. The dresses they have are gorgeous and have lots of options to try on all in all sizes. Everyone at Bridal Connections made it very easy to say Yes to the Dress!

I took my wedding dress in for alterations on 8/16, and was scheduled to go back on 9/10. However, 2 hours before my appointment on 9/10, I received a call advising that my dress was not going to be ready and my appointment needed to be pushed back to 9/16. When I went in on 9/16, my dress still didnt fit correctly and required additional alterations. I was then scheduled to go back on 9/27, at which time my dress still didnt fit correctly and again required additional alterations. I then had to go back on 9/30, which was just 2 days before my wedding. The dress fit better, but still had issues, as well as some lace on the side that had not been reattached. They also didnt steam/press the dress. Which is something that most places do for you. Especially when charging $400 for alterations, not having the alterations completed until 2 days before the event and after having the dress for more than 6 weeks. Thankfully I had a 2nd wedding gown and 3 bridesmaids dresses altered by a local seamstress and paid the same amount for all 4 dresses. She had alterations for all 4 dresses done within 2 weeks and did not require multiple visits for fittings and/or additional alterations. She also had all 4 dresses pressed and ready to go on the day that she said they would be ready. I would not recommend Bridal Connection for dress alterations.

THIS DRESS ❤ Omg this dress.When we first got engaged I had no intentions of a big fancy expensive dress.But then my mom suggested we go try a few on and get ideas so we could order something online.So we made an appointment at @bridalconnectiondsm . We got there, Selena listened to what I wanted, and she picked out about 5 or 6 dresses. This was the first one I put on.The others were also gorgeous, but there was just something about this one.But I didnt want a big, fancy, expensive dress.... so I grabbed a friend and we went to something like 8 bridal shops around the Des Moines Metro and I tried on probably 40 dresses, and I honestly hated all of them.So our last stop of the day was back at Bridal Connection. I tried it on and she instantly started crying.So with the Express permission of my husband-to-be (sight unseen), I bought it.But there was a problem. It was a size 26. I was probably a size 18/20. So we did a lottttt of alterations. We were almost done with it when we canceled our first wedding so I picked it up, unfinished, and took it home to my moms house for the better part of a year and a half.Fast forward three more wedding dates, I called my new friend Celina (different one from before, same shop) and told her I needed to see if we could do anything about my dress.... but there was a catch. I had lost 60 more lbs.I could hear the panic in her voice a little. Uhhh, yeah. We will absolutely try. But I just want to warn you, that is a LOT. It MIGHT NOT be possibleSo after about a week of panicking, I went in and met with the seamstress and they got started on the dress again.FIVE more fitting appointmentsSIXTEEN more inches out of the waistBra cupsHemming the bottom (which is a task in and of itself)Cinching the skirt sidesUndoing and redoing the sleeves three timesAnd a bustle laterWe have it.My seamstress CK worked her BUTT OFF to make sure this dress could happen for me. And Celina (who is seriously a new friend I made out of the deal) made sure it all could happen.This dress was an absolute dream come true. Im not 100% how they made it happen for me but DANG 🔥🔥🔥 THEY DID SO GOOD!Size 26 dress to an estimated size 14. 🤯

She picked dresses that fit my style perfectly and she was so helpful! I also was super impressed with the owner Lara! The staff she had working were all so friendly and Lara checked on me personally multiple times. I left the store feeling so overjoyed and with the dress of my dreams! Great selection of dresses. Nice workers. I didnt like having to get my alterations done several times because they didnt do it right the first 2 times. Alterations issue is minimal though. They were honestly very nice workers and had beautiful dresses. I am in love with my dress!!!

I had the BEST experience with Bridal Connection.After having some tough luck at other bridal shops, I was feeling pretty discouraged.Celina was incredible, and went so far above and beyond to find me the dress of my dreams. I would recommend Bridal Connection to everyone whether it be for a prom dress, wedding dress, etc. The service and environment are unmatched.

We were guaranteed that all of our tuxes would be in at a certain day/time and that guarantee was not honored. The tuxes came in for a bridal party of 3 plus the groom throughout the week of my wedding. My sons tux never came in until the day before our wedding in the late afternoon and we were guaranteed that it would be in no later than 2 days before our wedding. It was very stressful. The groomsmen and grooms tuxes were baggy in the jacket and the grooms pants and shirt were too tight.When it was brought up when my sons tux would be in and why it was late was due to a “cyber attack” excuse and that’s why it was late but I was never notified of a cyber attack. It was very concerning due to the fact that my card information was used to rent the tuxes. Never got a phone call, email, text or anything. Very disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend Bridal Connection.

Awesome place to shop for dresses! They were organized and so very helpful and friendly! My daughter and two of her bridesmaids came with us. This was our first stop and found options. I had the most remarkable experience at Bridal Connection in Ankeny, Iowa. The staff and owner, Lara Bunkers are wonderful, everyone made me feel so special, they answered all my questions, and paid attention to the small details such as adding a belt to the dress or a bracelet to match my pearl necklace.I was also impressed by the personal care given by the seamstress who made sure all my alterations were just right. I would recommend every bride to check out Bridal Connection, you will not regret your experience, in fact you will create memories of a lifetime.

We used these guys for our wedding, and recently for a funeral. I think that the service is great, and the prices are fair and reasonable. I would suggest at least checking them out for your next formal gathering.

By far the most professional bridal boutique in the Des Moines Area! Celina was great help when looking for bridesmaid dresses and Tuxedos for my wedding. She asked us what our colors were, and was able to guide our appointment by which dress styles we could get in that color. I had such an amazing experience with the Bridal Connection. I went there randomly after a very discouraging day of dress shopping, we made a google search and it took us here. We walked in 20 minutes to closing and they had no problem taking us back and treating us just like any other customer. We were there passed closing time and they were not trying to rush us out at all. I found my dress there and they made fittings a breeze leading up to the big day. I’ve been to a few different bridal shops, including big chains like David’s. None of them have made me enjoy my experience dress shopping. I was constantly being pressured to try on dresses that I didn’t like or were out of my budget. I dreaded going. But then I came to Bridal Connection and I was extremely surprised. I had an amazing experience. Every single dress that I tried on, I loved (which never happens). I worked with Liv and she was AMAZING. it’s like she knew my style better than I did. She was so so so helpful and patient with my indecisiveness. I said yes to the dress here and i’m so happy with that decision. Thank you Bridal Connection and especially Liv for making this experience fun for me! ❤️

The single worst overall experience ive had with an establishment ever. Having to work with them over the course of a year leading up to my wedding was nothing short of horrible. I could sit here all day and list the many ways they dropped the ball (and believe me there were MANY), but what I found the most unacceptable was how they reacted every time they made a mistake. They would avoid communication with me, and try to act like they did nothing wrong. One example of this is they ordered the wrong veil more than 3 times, and NEVER managed to order the correct one. They also kept trying to convince me that each wrong veil they ordered was actually the correct one, so not only was I dealing with an incorrect product, but also a staff that was not on my side. A few days before my wedding I was still waiting for my veil and hadnt heard from Bridal Connection in some time, I tried calling and was told the manager would call me back (which she never did). So I had to go to another local bridal shop in hopes that they had one in store that would work with my dress. After the wedding, I still hadnt heard back from Bridal Connection. At this point it was beyond clear they did not care about me at all, they knew my wedding date so they had to have known that they completely screwed me over but never felt the need to follow up. I actually had to chase Bridal Connection down in order to get a refund (considering I never received ANY veil from them, let alone the one I ordered a year in advance). It took them a month to refund us, and we never heard an apology. This is not an exaggeration, I never heard sorry once. Mistakes happen, and with Bridal Connection they just kept piling up, and the quality of service was baffling in the face of those mistakes. These were some of the most unprofessional women Ive ever seen. If you value your wedding experience, please do not do business with this place!!

I purchased my wedding gown at Bridal Connection in February 2020. The dress arrived on time, regardless of the COVID-19 situation. The alterations process was a struggle for me, but the staff at Bridal Connection continued to work with me on making it perfect so that I was comfortable on my wedding day. The dress turned out absolutely perfect in the end, and I’m super thankful for their staff for helping me along the way - Selena, Martha, Liv and team. Highly recommend them to any brides - especially the manager, Selena, she is fantastic and clearly knows her stuff when it comes to wedding gowns! Thank you all so much! :)

Im recently engaged and just starting out in the wedding dress shopping process. Im not a typical bride who has a vision board and has had every detail of my wedding planned out from the time I was 10. Because of this, I havent given much thought to what type of dress I want to wear. I decided to stop at a few bridal shops near me, Bridal Connection being one of them. I looked online first to see if I could get an idea of what I liked, but ultimately decided to stop in to just browse. My mom and I got to the shop, walked in and were greeted by a young girl who, before anything else, asked if we had an appointment (no hello, welcome, how can I help you? or anything before that). I informed her I was only interested in browsing at that moment and that I wasnt aware I needed an appointment (nothing online said I needed an appointment just to browse). She responded with, Oh, are you looking for a homecoming or prom dress? Very confused, I said, No, a wedding dress. She said, Oh like to wear to a wedding? I said, Yes, Im getting married. Shocked, she responded with, Oh seriously? This first exchange left a horrible taste in my mouth, but I let it go at that time. I let her know I had no clue what I was looking for and that this was all brand new to me, so I was just wanting to look through some dresses to get an idea. At this point, she starts talking incredibly fast and talking about cuts and styles of dresses like I was a professional. When I asked her to explain things, she huffed and acted like I was dumb. She then said, You really need to look online first, then well interview you to see if youre a good fit for one of our dresses. Then well see about getting you in for an appointment. This made me very uncomfortable and made me feel very unwelcome. I just kind of awkwardly agreed and left with my mom. In my opinion, this was incredibly unprofessional and I likely will not return to this shop, or recommend it to anyone looking for their wedding dress.

The place was really good and nice. The ones who work there are nice. The only problem was the high price for a Bridesmaid dress.

I had the “Amazing Bridal Experience” yesterday with the owner, Lara, and it could not have went any more perfect!!! What a wonderful day and I found my dream dress! They were very accommodating and I’m usually very self conscious but I was so relaxed and felt so comfortable and beautiful in every dress I tried on. I was pretty nervous going during this Coronavirus time and they made us feel very safe and they were very clean. It’s so perfect that they sell bridesmaids dresses and they offer a travel service for your honeymoon if you wish! Truly a one stop shop! I would 10/10 recommended anyone I know to go there! The sales girl was pleasant. We were not told ahead of time that it would be $100 to open a seam. The seamstress did it quickly and put a hole in the satin on the side of the wedding dress and still charged us $100. The floor was not clean and they put us in a small dressing area instead of the nice area for trying on. No idea why. Potential hidden or non-announced fees. Sadly disappointed.

I have been working with bridal connections since last year (2019) for my wedding. The entire time, from my first day into my last day in they have been nothing but amazing! I told them what kind of dress I was interested in and the very first dress they brought me was THE ONE. I continued to try on a few more but the first one was IT. They were so helpful and just all around an awesome group to work with. We ended up continuing to go through them for all our brides maid dresses and tuxes. We did a harry potter themed wedding so definitely not the easiest when coming to planning. Even with this difficult task we set them to, they did it! All the girls dresses look absolutely amazing are the perfect colors and fit perfect to their needs and likes. The guys tuxes as well the colors of their vests and ties are so perfectly matched to my girls dresses. Even with covid going on they managed to get us in when we needed to be there. They managed to get everything in at the most perfect time. They also were amazing with communicating with us about everything at any given time of day. All the ladies there have been nothing but amazing to me and my bridal party. Each time Ive had to be there for anything, Ive also had to bring one of my children with me. Not once did they frown upon it or get upset. Their faces lit up everytime and would talk to them and us like they have known us for years. Has got to be hands down the best experience Ive ever had working with a group! I just want to give a huge thank you to the Bridal Connection staff for helping my dreams come true.

The owner was super accommodating. I’ve been to other bridal stores where the consultants don’t offer any help, but it couldn’t be more different here! The consultants and owner are very attentive and super smart. All of the belt and jewelry combinations that the consultant picked out were spot on and worked perfectly! I loved everything about the store and they’re dresses are very beautiful and they have a lot of great options for accessories. I couldn’t have felt more at home and more cared about. If you need a dress, come here! You will not regret it!

Staff was fantastic. Celina did a great job of finding EXACTLY the dress i needed. Not only are we doing a small church wedding in Iowa in January but also a big celebration with Elvis officiating in Las Vegas in February of next year. She found a dress that was demure enough for church but with enough pizzazz to wow in Vegas. I was over shopping for a dress but definitely did a great job of listening to what I wanted and didnt try to force me to buy. Accessorized and sparkled and ready to go :) Thank you to Lara, Celina and staff for all of the help and attention to get just the right look. You made it so much fun!!!

Have had nothing but GREAT experiences with Lara and her staff. Went dress shopping without any appointments, got an appointment the second we called and ended up finding my dress. Pricey? Yes, but totally worth it!!!! Went in for first dress fitting and even though I loved my dress, I did not love the weight I put on while stressing over wedding planning. Lara allowed me to wait 2 more months and rush alterations so I could lose some weight!!!! There has been some hiccups but they were taken care of in a professional manner! You want a super chill place to go? Here is your place. Not only are they so easy going, they make a plus size girl feel AMAZING!!!! Because of my great experiences, I came back for bridesmaids dresses. Nothing but great things to say!

We had THE BEST experience at the Bridal Connection. We (the bride and I)walked in just hoping to get a feel for the style of the store and a feel for what the bride was looking for, but she came out finding the one! The styles were great, the staff went above and beyond really listening to the style of dress she wanted, and they were so welcoming. They even gave us a champagne toast since she found the one!

I cannot recommend the Bridal Connection enough. This was the first place I went to shop for my dress, I went in with hundreds of hours of Say Yes to the Dress under my belt and no idea what I wanted besides simple and elegant. My consultant took the time to have a conversations with me about my everyday style. She let me pull 4 dressed that I liked aspects of and then from what I liked about each dress she pulled me 4 more. We analyzed each dress, talked about what I liked and didnt like, if I was comfortable and how the fit was. She pulled 4 more and then we found it, the PERFECT dress. My consultant gave me her complete attention for 90 minutes and truly listened to me. I bought the dress that day, even though I had more dress appointments set up the next day at a chain-store for dresses. They had my dress in six months later and we started fittings. I gained some width in my chest and arms during the planning (thank you wedding work outs) and they were able to make it fit even though I went up an entire dress size in my chest. Everyone here, from the front desk to the alterations, were amazing. They knew just the right kind of humor to use to put a bride at easy and had expert opinions. It may cost more than a chain wedding store but I can tell you that every single penny will be worth it, and will go towards making your special day easier and you a more beautiful bride.

When we came in the person helping us kept telling me to try on a dress I repeatedly said I didn’t want to try. When she found out the friend I was with got her dress at David’s Bridal she said, “I don’t like David’s because some other girl will show up with the same dress as you.” When I said the dresses were not in my price range she was extremely snotty. While I was changing she stuck her hand in my dressing room and told me to hand her the dress so she could hang it up and got upset that I had not hung it up. I believe she was the owner as she kept saying, “my dresses and my shop.” The dresses are also very expensive for me, although I enjoy being thrifty. I’ve seen a lot of great reviews but my experience was horrible and I would not recommend this place.

As a bride, this was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE. The staff is not only knowledgeable and fun but they are really looking out for YOU! I cant recommend them enough, they have a great variety of dresses, really clean store and not pushy at all! Ask for Melissa, she was incredible and made me feel so comfortable! Make sure this is the place you stop at while dress shopping!

Great experience! The owner was extremely friendly and helpful finding my bridesmaid dress. It was a super easy process! Our consultant even let my best friend try on her wedding dress (without an appt.) to show me because I was from out of town when she chose it and wasn’t able to be there to see it originally. Went to bridal connection to try on wedding dresses! I had been to another bridal shop earlier in the same day, and at this point was stuck between a dress at that shop and at bridal connection. First off, they didn’t have much selection for plus size. Second, the owner came and blatantly stated that “curvy girls need to watch the cut of the back of the dress so the back fat doesn’t hang out” and stated that the dress I showed a picture of had an empire waist and that “curvy girls like you need to stay away from empire waists as it excentuates the stomach in the wrong ways”. This was the OWNER OF THE SHOP who was saying this!!!!! At that moment I decided I didn’t want to give my business to someone who puts down a bride who just wants to feel gorgeous on the wedding day. I would advise shopping elsewhere.

Have a great selection of dresses, fabulous showroom and helpful staff. Power was out when we arrived so we made an adventure out of looking in the dark with flashlights. Power came on and we had a marvelous time - believe it or not the first dress selected in the dark was the one my daughter chose. What a story shell have to tell about going dress shopping. Highly recommend.

Awful customer service. Not only did it take three phone calls before they were willing to work with my schedule, but I arrived for my appointment 5 polite minutes early and wasnt helped for more than 20 minutes. Once we began looking at dresses, my attendant was helpful. I found a dress I loved but did not commit that day. When I called for a follow up appointment to hopefully say yes, they had sold that model dress and are not going to replace it. I thanked them for their time, but told them they had lost my business. Later that day, I got a call back stating I could pay $50 to get one shipped to the store to try on, but she didnt know what size it would be or how long it would take to get in. Im sorry, but no.A friend of mine bought her wedding dress there a few years ago. She lived 100 miles from Ankeny, and had to come back to the shop at least 5-6 times because the alternations kept being too tight, too loose, too tight, etc. My friend is a thin gal whose weight was not fluctuating. Shouldnt have been an issue.Honestly, I was a little nervous about loving with a dress from there after hearing others horror stories. So, Im actually kind of thankful they sold that dress. Decision made.

Kelsey sat down with me at the beginning of my appointment and got to know me, details about my wedding, and she really listened to what I was looking for. They matched the discount another store was offering me, and then some. I cant sing the praises of this establishment loud enough! If you are looking for a wonderful experience in addition to finding your dream gown, the Bridal Connection is the place to go. They have a great selection of reasonably priced gowns - something for everyone! My bridesmaids were able to find beautiful, reasonably priced gowns as well. Everything went smoothly and perfectly during my time there. I have read the reviews by others about poor customer service, and that is simply just NOT TRUE. Everyone at the store, from the front desk greeters, to the consultants, to the owner were all kind, professional, and helpful at every turn. You will not be disappointed shopping at the Bridal Connection.

Started off great, positive and helpful but seemed to turn into arrogant and pushy with pressure to choose a dress the bride-to-be said she didn’t love. They weren’t listening to her and were telling her she was confused and needed to choose. When she was looking at dresses trying to decide why she didn’t like it, they told her not to stare at it any longer if she didn’t like it.

I cant stop thinking about how perfect everything went for mine and my husbands wedding. A lot of the success from our wedding has to do with the professionalism showcased from the Bridal Connection. Their team went above and beyond to make sure I was a happy bride! We got our entire wedding attire from the Bridal Connection, everything look AMAZING! My dress was breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL, my husband was STUNNING and our wedding party looked SPECTACULAR! All of the guys tuxes fit like a glove, our bridesmaid only had a couple minor alterations - considering the fact that we didnt do fittings because our wedding party lives elsewhere, I would say the Bridal Connection did a great job making sure we ordered all the right sizes. We were and still are totally pleased with the professionalism the Bridal Connection delivered to us and our wedding party. You could tell that our satisfaction was their number one priority. Thank you, thank you for your help making our wedding perfect!

I absolutely loved working with Bridal Connections! I worked with Lara, the owner, and she was absolutely fabulous. She helped me step out of my comfort zone in which I ultimately found the dress of my dreams (I cried when I said yes). The staff was very helpful and let me come in several times to make sure it was the right dress! I can’t say enough good things about Bridal Connections. I went to several locations around the Des Moines area and I felt the most comfortable and welcomed at Bridal connections.. by far!!Thank you so much to everyone at Bridal Connections and especially Lara!

The Bridal Connection was my favorite and last place I had to look for my Wedding gown. From the moment I stepped onto the building I was wisked away by the staff. Check in was speedy and both my family and I LOVED working with Lara, our expert! She not only listened to what I wanted, but she was able to deliver me a dress that none of the other wedding gown stores could offer me all day! I highly recommend the staff and their products! The dresses..all of them...are BEAUTIFUL and waiting to be worn by blushing brides.

I had an appointment with Celine. She was very prompt and extremely courteous. Not to mention she has incredible style. The Bridal Connection is amazing. For a smaller town I was very impressed with not only the large selection of wedding gowns, but also the dressing rooms. This place oozes class. The girls at the front desk were very polite and helpful as well.

I truly can’t put into words how amazing Lara and her staff is. They have gone above and beyond to make this so special and so stress-free! I’m truly just speechless. Thank you to them from the bottom of my heart!

I had been to 10 (maybe more) bridal shops searching for my wedding dress before coming to Bridal Connection. I had a great experience at Bridal Connection & (finally) found my dream dress! The staff were very helpful & made me feel so comfortable. They asked all the right questions to get to know me as a bride & what I was looking for in a dress. I would recommend this store to anyone in search of a wedding dress.

AMAZING! Bridal Connection has a beautiful and spacious setup. I was very comfortable while I was in there and the owner personally helped me say YES to my dress. She is such a sweetheart and really listened to my wants. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted when I went in there and after trying on 3 dresses I had the one! Once my dress came in I was able to go in and try it on right away and I am able to go in any time between now and my wedding if I need a dress fix I am so glad that I chose to visit bridal connection and now I am just patiently waiting for our big day!!!

The entire experience from Bridal Connection is amazing. The staff are so welcoming and genuinely care about making your experience at their store a comfortable and memorable one. Lara, the owner, works right on the floor and interacts with the customers and is devoted to helping you find THE dress! The shop itself is amazing. It has the feel up an upscale boutique, but with friendly, helpful faces and reasonable prices. I said yes to my dress there and I couldnt have done it without Lara and the Bridal Connection!

I visited Bridal Connection on a Friday afternoon. I tried on a few dresses, but ultimately wasnt able to find one within my budget. I would have appreciated the Bridal Connection website advertising their price points more clearly before I made an appointment. They also charge a shipping fee of $150 on top of your gown price.My appointment was with Melissa, who was very helpful. I appreciated discussing my vision privately with her before getting started with the appointment. We werent allowed to take photos, which I respected but didnt love.At the end of the appointment, Lara, the owner, came back and visited with my group. She made rude comments about photos of other dresses I had tried on and about the stores we had previous appointments with. Overall, I wouldnt recommend Bridal Connection unless your budget is well over $1,500.

My experience here was exceptional. I had been to several other bridal shops that day alone, and was still looking even though I had found several that I liked. Tori was amazing. She took the little comments my party was making, and at the end when I was slightly frustrated at not finding exactly what I wanted, she surprised me with the PERFECT dress. It had all the details we had been discussing, but I had passed over it on the rack, thinking it wouldnt look right on me. But she knew, and it was perfect. I cant thank her enough for making a stressful situation much more enjoyable and for taking the time to listen to my wants. I would definitely recommend Tori and the Bridal connection to any of my friends. I cant wait to visit again for fittings!

LOVED my experience at Bridal Connection. From the beginning, the staff was warm, non-judgmental, and comforting. I was given a lot of attention, and I was never presented a dress above my price range. It was quick work to find *the* dress for me thanks to my associates attentiveness and knowledge of the shops collection. And even though I was on my own when I picked my dress, my associate sat down and had a glass of champagne with me to celebrate! Truly excellent customer service... would recommend to anyone.

The staff at The Bridal Connection is FABULOUS! Words cannot express how grateful my family and I are for all of the wonderful service they have provided to us over the years. Lara is a very hands on owner that is accepting of all body types, and has trained her staff to be the same. I am so grateful that I happened across them 4 years ago! This is the best bridal store in Iowa. I have been to several stores before going in to the Bridal Connection and I was just amazed by everything in the store. The customer service was excellent. The dress selection was amazing. I found the perfect dress for my big day and I only have my consultant to thank for it. I would recommend this bridal store above all others!

I had a great experience here! I really liked the layout of the store and the variety of dresses. I had been to three other bridal stores previously and was very impressed with the customer service at Bridal Connection. The owner took a personal interest in each of the customers that were there at the same time as me, and she took the time to tell me about my dress and the designer. I am completely in love with my dress and cannot wait to go back and put it on again!

This was the very first place I looked for a dress. I had very low expectations. I knew what I was looking for, but was willing to be flexible. Everyone there was nice, but I felt like they were after a sale more than helping me. I advised that I was looking for a dress under $1k with a keyhole back. On the phone they told me this was not an issue and could pull several examples for me. Once I got there they had nothing ready, and had me looking through dresses that were at least $1,200. After I tried several on, and expressed my concerned of price the lady started pulling from the stock of on sale dresses in the back. She would bring two out at a time, and after the first trip she started bringing completely different dresses out than I asked for. I left extremely disappointed because I was told this wasnt an issue on the phone.

Everything I was hoping for in my first ever (and highly anticipated) bridal appointment! I wanted to feel great, be treated well, and to have that experience. We got all of that and more. The place is gorgeous and comfortable! My mom, sister and I all raved about our time there. Keegan, our consultant, was a dream. She was the perfect fit for my personality and managed everything exceptionally well. Shes a true pro and very very good at her job. You wont be disappointed visiting B.C.

Ordered my bridesmaid dress over the phone...such an easy process and the fit was great when I received it. Our bride has gotten great service and we are very happy overall!

Such a great place to go! The first dress she had me try on was the one but there were so many favorites. Fun, personable and truly helpful people to work with!

My daughter and niece were just in this store (Sunday, January 26, 2020) looking for prom dresses so they can make their final decision so I can come look at it before purchasing it. The RUDEST customer service EVER! They were asked when they first walked in if they were buying. My daughter said just looking for now. Then the woman (and I use that term loosely) said I hate when people just come into look. If you go into a store you need to buy something. My daughter further explained she has to find a dress so I could come look at it then I will pay for it. About that time another worker of the store walked over and asked what they were buying. The first woman said “they have to wait on mommy’s credit card”. The girls then left! What horrible customer service!!! RUN AS FAR AWAY FROM BRIDAL CONNECTION IN ANKENY AND AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!Also posting this experience on Facebook.PS only gave one star because I had to give it one to post a comment. It would be 0 if I had that option!!IN RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY: I was not with them in person but I was on FaceTime with her. So, yes, my review is VERY FACTUAL. I will Not Remove my very factual review. If you don’t want honest reviews then you may want to choose a different career. And accusing my daughter and niece of lying while I was listening from her phone is pretty low!!! It proves the type of business you run and my point even more. I posted this on my Facebook as well and we are not the only ones this has happened to.You lost a potential customer!!

When I brought my daughter to find a dress for prom this was the most helpful place we had been they are all about making you have an amazing time and that you can find your dream dress so many great dresses to choose from such great people to work with very much an enjoyable trip we will be sure and recommend them to all thank you bridal connection in Ankeny

I had left a message about a certain designer/style. Katie called me back very promptly and had even done research about the specific designer I was asking about so she could provide more information! I am very impressed with their customer service and the effort they put into answering my designer and style questions.

We went in looking for a mother of bride dress, as soon as we walked in we realized the store smelled so strong like smoke, so that was a major turn away. Who would want to buy a dress that smells like smoke? We told them our price range and they brought us back to look at dresses. They had nothing in our range and we’re showing us dresses that were way out of our range and overpriced. It would of been nice if they had just said they didn’t have anything in our range when we first walked in instead of wasting our time. We ended up finding a dress way under our budget at another bridal store. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Dresses ordered way too big to collect on alterations and ridiculous expediting/shipping charges. Took advantage of a young bride and her bridesmaids :(

The newly remodeled Bridal Connection is absolutely gorgeous! You will feel like a true bride with the beautiful decor including crystal chandelier and mock aisle to walk down as you try on your gowns. The owner has clearly spent time in larger city markets selecting the wide variety of gowns yet many with an Iowa price tag. This is was my second experience (wedding involvement with family/friends) with Bridal Connection and both have been wonderful. I have recommended Bridal Connections to many friends and collegues including my sister in law. Top notch service during all visits!

The owners donated their time, gowns and tuxes to a Make A Wish fashion show and were amazing to work with! I would HIGHLY recommend the Bridal Connection to anyone that wants excellent customer service and personable staff to work with!Ive worked with so many organizations over the years and the Bridal Connection is by far one of the best!Thank you for all your help and generosity!

I went there to get a tux for a friends daughters wedding, I coordinated mine with theirs. Great fit and looked great.The lady there knew what she was doing very helpful getting me to look my best for the occasion . The store is very nice and the staff is friendly. I didnt end up finding THE dress and that is ok. I really wanted to write this review in the chance it may help other brides.When I got to the store the consultant was very nice and friendly! She was confident and knew about the dresses in the shop. I was not exactly sure what I was looking for, since I am just starting my dress shopping process. I am indecisive and not sure what I want yet. I kept being told that I was Confused or Overwhelmed. I honestly was not either of those, I was just not seeing what I wanted. I then was basically told that I needed to pick a style, but again I was not ready to. My reason for bringing this up is because some girls react well to that, some people need to be told that to help them pick but not me. I take time to decide, and I was feeling pressured to convince myself I loved something that was not me. The owner who is very nice came over and she was giving me complements but I also felt like she was getting annoyed cause I was so indecisive. I know they pride themselves in being able to select the perfect dress for people. The consultant actually picked out the dress I did like there on the first try! They are good! It was truly nothing against them or the dresses I just did not find The One and I felt like there was something wrong with me because of that. I tried on lots of dresses and they let me walk around and grab some and gave me some space so that was nice. I just wanted to make it clear, I am not knocking on either the consultant or the owner, I am just sharing how I felt. Everyone has their own style and I know you cant please everyone.Something I have learned over the years is how to listen to people. I felt like the only thing they listened to was me saying I didnt like lace. I also said I was open to anything though cause I am just starting and I think I know what I like but I wont know until I try. They were not listening to me, they instead were telling me how I was feeling or saying things like you have been starring at the dress for too long, you are over thinking it I wasnt, I truly was just taking in what I liked about the dress and what I didnt. After that I felt rushed and like I was wasting their time.Basically every shop has its own style. If you are someone who likes being told what looks good on you or want someone to decide what is your perfect dress I would say this is your spot (nothing wrong with this). If you are confident that you can say no to something you dont love, and dont cave under pressure this is a great place for you. But if you are unsure, indecisive, crack under pressure, not ok saying no, self-conscious, easily influenced ( again nothing wrong with this), I would maybe say go dress shopping at other shops before coming here so you have practice seeing other dresses and saying no. This still may be the place for you I just wanted to mention this cause I usually am someone who has no problem saying no, but I felt a little uncomfortable.Again this is a beautiful shop, with knowledgeable, confident staff that are great at selecting dresses based off of what you said. But they will hold you to what you originally said you were looking for. Sometimes the confidence and knowledge turned into arrogance and came off as if I was not capable of making the right decision. Instead of making me feel empowered I felt like something was wrong with me cause I wasnt seeing anything I LOVED, and I felt like I was going to have to pick something I didnt LOVE and just hope that doesnt happen to others. I do not think this was their intention, but this is how I truly felt. Again just a different style than I enjoyed.

The staff goes above and beyond to meet your every need! I would recommend this store to anyone involved in a wedding! I would definitely go there again and most likely will when I look for my dress. Awesome staff and AMAZING environment and service!

My first visit to Bridal Connection was magical. Melissa helped me find the perfect dress. She was never pushy and let me take my time with each and every dress. She never seemed like it was an inconvenience that my mother, sister, and I were there. The next few visits picking out bridesmaid dresses and tuxes were the same way. Melissa made my wedding planning experience amazing!!! Then it all went downhill when Melissa messaged me saying she was no longer working at Bridal Connection. My first alteration appointment, Lara the owner helped me out and made me feel like I was an idiot. The second alteration they called me 5 minutes before my appointment when I was already in Ankeny and told me the seamstress was running behind and they needed to reschedule my appointment for another day. My mother came from 2.5 hours away to learn how to bustle my dress the next week. Fifteen minutes before that appointment the owner, Lara called and wanted to push the appointment back 2 hours because the seamstress was still working on my dress. Why she was doing this 5 minutes before my appointment is beyond me. My mother and I waited in their waiting area for an hour and a half (past closing time) to get back and learn my bustle. The workers offered to get my a coffee from Starbucks but it was already 7pm. The bustle was rushed and there were many things wrong. But the owner “reassured” us that those things were supposed to be like that even though my mother argued they were not. My bridesmaid went to try on her dress because she had gotten pregnant. They tried telling her that she had gotten too fat and there was nothing they could do about it. When she told them she had gotten pregnant they were much more pleasant. They charged her $150 more to take out a zipper and add a corset (this was after she had drove 3 hours and waited for 2 hours emotionally exhausted). When my husband and his groomsman went to get their tuxes to try on, my husbands pants were too short and his undershirt was too long. The workers assured him that they were supposed to be like that. His best mans pants were a size too big and one leg was shorter than the other. In which the owner Lara budged the pants up a little bit and said “see they’re the same length”.. but they definitely weren’t. The way the staff talked to them was like they had never worn a tux before and that tuxes are supposed to be like that. My husband was very upset. My husband gave his best man his pants and had to wait for his pants to be ordered. When he went in again one leg was shorter than the other. So he left again with no pants. My father also ordered a size 44 coat because he knew that was his size but they ordered a 46 instead after him already telling them 44 was his size. His coat was not there the week of the wedding and they tried to charge him again for reordering another coat. I went in on the Friday before my wedding to pick up my dress and try it on. I brought my mom with me to make sure the bustle was fixed. My fathers coat was still not there and they told us we would have to come back and get it. I told them they messed up and how frustrated I was that I have came to Ankeny 6-8 different times due to them messing up. The owner (male) offered to bring the coat to our hotel during our rehearsal dinner that night. I tried on my dress and you could tell the staff was sucking up due to all the mishaps that I had encountered. But we finally left with everything we needed besides my dads coat and we will never be going back to Bridal Connection or recommending them to anyone. They either need to work on how they speak to customers, hire Melissa back because she was the only one who knew what the hell she was doing, or close shop.

Absolutely wonderful people! My mom was unable to go dress shopping due to being in ICU fighting pneumonia while having stage 4 breast cancer. The staff helped to FaceTime with my mom and actually went to the hospital (which is 2 hours away) with the gown so she could see it in person. I can never express my gratitude. Outstanding human beings and a wonderful experience I will never forget.

I have been to a lot of bridal shops and this one was my favorite! The consultant, Liz, was very attentive and so helpful! She wasnt helping other brides during my appointment like some other places. I never had to wonder where she was or when she was coming back. The dresses are beautiful and some are pretty pricey. The only thing I didnt like was that you cant take pictures until you decide which dress youre buying.

My wife and I got ours and our wedding parties dress attire from the Bridal Connection. They made it very easy for us with their knowledgeable staff. We told them our ideas and they helped piece it together for us. Everything (dresses and tuxes) fit like a glove! Our wedding was perfect thanks to the Bridal Connection!

There were not very many dresses for my neice to try on. We were quite disappointed with that. The attendant was very attentive and kind. She was doing her best to please the bride. There is a refreshment station when you walk in the door but I was unable to run the coffee maker and the water was lukewarm. Yuck. Not a good fit.

WARNING: Prom Connection DOES NOT rent prom dresses, only tuxedos. The dresses are outrageously priced, my mom spent $200 less on her wedding dress! Because of the price, there will be no prom dress for me.

I had the most wonderful experience at the Bridal Connection. I wanted a dress that was going to be very hard to find in its completion. They helped me create the vision by using alterations. The let me tweek it many times to get it to be perfect! My dress was absolutely beautiful! My Tuxedos went completely smooth and my bridesmaids went exactly as expected. My wedding was three months from my date of engagement so I had to rush ship everything. They were upfront about timeframes and alteration times. They did exactly what they said they would. Thank you so much!

LOVED the Bridal Connection!!! As a plus size Bride and working from a limited budget, I was leary to work with a higher end wedding dress boutique/shop. The ONLY reason I went to the Bridal Connection is because I met Lara (the owner) at a Bridal Fair and instantly made an appointment as I was so impressed with her knowledge and person-ability. She made me feel so comfortable in my own skin. Lara was not able to be present the day of my appointment, so she had me work with Celina! She was amazing!!! She treated us as royalty. She was so professional, helpful, considerate and kind. She made my family comfortable and then took me aside privately to discuss my personal wants/budget/etc, where I wouldnt be influenced by others. She was so considerate of all of my concerns. She had us look through a room full of gowns and select a couple of options to start trying. She also came back with a dress that was in the back room that she said she thought I would love! She was right!!! It was the first one I tried on and I instantly fell in love! I did try on all of the other dresses but I truly loved the dress she chose. It is just gorgeous and made me look slimming!! Add the jewelry and veil and it is totally me! The dress, the staff, the customer service...all amazing! I appreciate your staff making my dreams in to a FOREVER memory! Super excited to walk down the aisle on July 14th. Thank you, Celina, Lara and staff! Incredible store and service!

Went here to wedding dress shop with my sister and it seemed Nice at first because of the layout and services. But when we started the actual appointment with our consultant it went downhill. First, she had the bride and about 5 others go choose the dresses that she might like. We did that and she tried on like 2 of them that we selected and then the consultant started pulling other dresses in a style we obviously didnt like. She didnt have her try on the other 3 dresses that the bride selected with us and she wouldnt listen or read the crowd when she kept showing us the one designer we obviously didnt like.We did watch another bride select her dress and it was beautiful! So it might be hit or miss what you get.

So overly pushy, wont listen and then blame you for not communicating well. Total waste of our time. Photos are not allowed whixh also didnt work for us since the mother of the bride couldnt make it that trip. I was just a friend of the bride and not looking for a dress but the owner wouldnt stop touching me. So uncomfortable. They do have pretty dresses if you dont mind being overly touched or pushed into a dress.

My friend went to find her wedding dress and they were the definition of B*%?&€$!!!! They told her that her dress styles were absolutely ugly. They kept pressuring her to buy a dress thats all they cared about, getting her money. For specializing in this business, thy are pathetic and run a circus of a bridal shop. I would absolutely not recommend anyone go here, unrealisticly not helpful.

Friendly when trying on dresses but dont seem to understand that not everyone has a lot of money they should be nice to everyone should not matter there budget. And people should not get moved if they where there first because another group comes in with more people.
