I started getting my oil changes at this location because I live close by. I am now a regular customer and have all of my vehicles serviced here. When I move, I will go out of my way to use this shop. The customer service here is top-notch, as well as the auto work. I have spent nearly two decades in customer service As such, I appreciate businesses that prioritize these skills. Rich (Store Manager) and his team are prompt, professional, and provide quality service. Great leadership is apparent and I genuinely hope Midas is aware of it.

This shop is excellent. I grew up working on cars so I can tell when folks are rounding corners on their work. Everything this Midas shop does is very good quality work. If I need a shop, this where I go exclusively.

Rich and his team always take great care of me and all of my service vehicles. I was able to stop in recently for a leaky tire, they had it fixed in less than 30 minutes and I was on my way! I would recommend them to anybody!

Second trip to this Midas shop and both experiences were better than I thought. Rich was able to give me options within my budget and never pushed to go beyond it. They offered solutions I didnt think of and completed the work in a timely manner. I will definitely return to this shop.

I recently purchased a used truck that seemed to have an issue with braking. The dealership said that there was no issue with the brake pads. Another automotive shop said the pads, fluids and lines were OK. Rich and the team at Midas said the issue was not the brake pads and fluid but a bad wheel bearing. The fix was expensive but they were up front about the issue and the fix and if the bearing was not the issue a brake fluid flush would be included at no extra charge. Bearing was fixed and the difference was immediate. Appreciate the work, the quick fix and the customer contact.

The manager Rich Wright is such a nice guy and really cares about his customers and always explains everything so well and answers any questions you may have. He will take you into the shop and literally show you what your vehicle needs, unlike other places. I was even in there just this last Saturday and was nice enough to share a pizza with me as I waited. I needed the shocks replaced on my 2012 F250 Super Duty . Midas gave me a couple recommendations and options . They had my truck in the shop within 15 minutes!!! Great customer service and outstanding work. This is my new repair shop !!!

[Update: (July 2020)The brake service went very well. Everyone was friendly and cheerful. I would recommend calling directly instead of using the Midas website to set up appointments. People locally are better at giving you an idea of appointments and length of time th he service should take.]I was not able to print the coupons. It should be easier. And there was a rebate one that was difficult to understand if the service I would need was part of it. It did look like you could send it to your cell and I though it would appear like a coupon, which it didnt. It would be nice if a coupon could be scanned from your cell. Times online being offered should be actual appointment times. Wasnt like my last time there, didnt feel as welcomed.

Brought both our cars to Midas to get serviced for winter, oil change,batteries for both cars, and just get that Midas touch by Rich and his crew here in Ankeny and they are the best, truthful, and all around good people. I manage a warehouse that has had a spree of catalytic converters stolen off of our delivery trucks. Great service! They greeted me by name when I walked in the door and they were ready to go when I arrived for my appointment. I walked out the door in less than an hour after they changed oil, rotated tires and did an inspection.

Great experience! Went for an oil change and found a trustworthy place. Rich, The Manager took me out to see what they found under my Tahoe. Some things that needed attention in the near future, but were not safety concerns right away. He gave me all the information I needed to decide on what needed to be done now and what could wait for a short.

They really took the extra step when they bolted down a loose muffler cover during my first oil change there. It was excellent service! I have since taken another vehicle there and also received service that was outstanding. My car needed additional adjustments after 4 new tires and Rich took great care of me. We worked through the details of the issues and he explained my best options. A recent accident had caused other issues missed by the body shop. The car is now driving better than it has in a very long time. Thank you!

Very pleased! They turned on cartoons for my toddler and didn’t mind his running around/screaming. Clean office. The restroom even has a changing table, I can’t tell you how many places don’t. I will definitely be back. Great customer service and very affordable.

Rich, the man at the front desk, went over and above to correct an incident that happened to my 2005 van while the new brakes were installed. I really appreciate it and Im very happy my van is working correctly.

Experience could have been better. Best part was the great price for an oil change and tire rotation. Downside was the customer service. When I arrived for my appointment, there was no one to be found in the waiting area/office. After waiting 5 minutes I walked into the shop looking for assistance. When someone did come to the desk I was told the manager drove a customer home (nice of them) but...the person at the desk was not trained to run the computer. Fast forward to picking up my vehicle...I was give a price higher than expected. When I asked about the $19 dollar oil change and tire rotation the gentleman at the desk snapped at me and said I dont recall you giving me a coupon and Im not in the market to give coupons away. In the end he did honor my request to only pay the $19 and change for an oil change and tire rotation. Like I mentioned, great price but customer service could have been improved in this situation.

I would like to thank Rich Wright at the Oralabor Road location in Ankeny, IA on the exceptional customer service I received, he went above and beyond. I had taken my vehicle in because my check engine light was on and after having it tested at Autozone I knew it was my throttle body assembly. Rich tested my vehicle again to make sure and it came up with the same error code. He then told me that Ford has extended the warranty coverage on this particular issue but to call and make sure it would be covered. I called Ford and they confirmed what Rich had told me and found out that my vehicle was still covered by warranty and there would be no charge. Rich didn’t have to tell me this and could have made an auto repair sale but he chose not to and I am forever thankful for him.

My first time to this business was a positive one. The manager Rich was very personable, no high pressure sales. I went in for an oil change and they also rotated my tires at no additional cost, getting my vehicle in and out. I made an appointment as walk-ins seem to get backlogged, and I would recommend to make an appointment, especially on the weekends.

I was planning to visit my parents when I noticed that I had a tire with low pressure. Since it was a 200+ mile drive, I decided to stop at Midas to have them make sure there wasnt a puncture or hazard. They did a full complimentary check and then showed me the things that they were concerned about. Some of the things I was already aware of, other things were news to me. Anyway, I made it home without anything going wrong and my dad made the necessary repairs. He told me that their evaluation was spot on and that I should feel comfortable using their services in the future. Basically, Im glad to know theyre an honest shop that doesnt try to oversell you. I will be glad to do business with Rich and his team in the future.

Rich is great - low keyed, expert, factual and straight forward - will find a work around for whatever your situation is. His people work on that same premise.If they spot a problem, or potential problem, they show you exactly what the mechanical situation is. Explain it, tell you if its a safety issue or not - provide an accurate estimate of cost - and when it needs to be addressed. (Not like some places that pressure you with fear of potential disaster, either mechanical, financial, or life threatening).Its like trusting your brother, or a good friend - They know what theyre doing. Only sell you what you need or ask for - tell/show you what to watch for in the future - and charge you a fair price for their work, and what they have to pay for any parts/materials.Employee owned partnership, they are there because they WANT to be - and they ARE what they DO, and DO PROUDLY and VERY WELL!!!

A couple times now the services I’ve requested have not all been completed when I’m told the work is done. Little to no explanation for why. This has led to longer waits and much inconvenience. A focus on completing requested services would be recommended instead of trying to find additional possible issues to sell more.

When I made the appointment for my 2013 Chevy Equinox for oil change and tire rotation it was 74.00 dollars. I told them it was a V6. I also said I had a 10.00 coupon. So expecting to pay 64.00 I ended up paying 86.50. They said it took 6 quarts instead of 5. They tried to up sale a tire balance. I rotated my own tires and have never had a problem with the balance. They should know when someone calls in the right amount to quote some one. I am trying to find a respectful auto service business that I can trust. Guess Ill keep looking.

We were from out of town and desperate to get our sons car on the road again. It would not start and needed to be towed in. The guys at Midas quickly determined that it was only a security error. They explained to him how to handle it and he was on the road. We were so impressed and thankful for their help. We thought it was the starter and to find it to be a easy (and definitely cheaper fix) was a real blessing. Thank you to Rich and his helpful staff. I recommend this place.

Very professional, fair, and worked quickly.i brought the car in to get an alignment after installing new steering parts. After the inspection they found the alignment was going to take extra work. They were able to do it cheaper than I thought it would be and were informative about what they needed to do to make the alignment right. The car drives great now!

Rich and his staff are absolutely fantastic and know their customers on a first name basis, which is hard to find anymore. My friend and I each got our cars serviced here. We had several small issues afterward that warranted further service such as a covering removed from heating vents, a leak in a tire, and a malfunctioned glove box door. I since went to the a reliable service department out of town where I initially got my vehicle, and they asked who was servicing my vehicle because they did a very poor and shady job. On top of that they tried to talk me into several things that were unnecessary. Never taking my vehicle to a Midas again, especially this one.

They even called the other Midas for me and set up an appointment so when I got there I was only there for a short time and they already had all the information they needed. The Ankeny crew always show me whats going on and give me a detailed report and NEVER do anything without making sure its exactly what I want.

The owner is always so nice and explains things so that I understand whats going on. Although going here means I have to spend money that I dont want to I at least know its getting done right and fairly.

Ive had several vehicles there and the service is always done right. They have always allowed me to go into the shop and see what is being done. Im familiar with the vehicles and work on them myself so I know what needs to be done and theyve never tried to pull anything on me. I definitely recommend this location as I trust the people there.

Brakes were squeaking so I called and got an appointment to get my brakes checked and pads replaced. After dropping my car off to go back to work, I get a call 3 hours later saying they had checked my car and the pads needed replaced (among 3 or 4 other useless things that they recommended getting replaced not related to my brakes). They told me 1.5 hours max to get them installed. 2 hours later I go in to pick up my car only to see that it was still in the maintenance garage on the lift with no tires on it. A half hour later I go back and was able to pick it up. 5 hours to replace brake pads is completely unacceptable. Is there anymore quality, customer service based, mainstream car maintenance places left?!
