Was trying to be courteous and not be that guy that walked in 5min before closing there was a sale for a tv so asked if they could hold it upfront and I will pick it up in the morning I confirmed the price with him and he said it will be up front to pick up but when I did I was told the sale ended last night and they couldnt honor that price so wasnt very happy so of course a didnt purchase the tv I was only saving $40 it was the experience that turned me away from the purchase the staff seemed unprofessional and the manager almost didnt seem like she wanted to help I understand I missed the sale but prep went into it I called and had it set aside for pickup the next morning you guys have never honored anything rather that be a warranty or a price match its bogus

NIGHTMARE BEST BUY!!!!!!!!! Purchased a dishwasher end of July and scheduled delivery and installation for August 3rd. Nobody showed up on August 3rd and nobody called. Called Best Buy and they stated that they rescheduled for August 11. Today nobody showed and we called again and they said it is scheduled end of August. They took our money and they do not care!!!! Nobody is willing to help!!!

Its Best Buy. You know whats up. If you only want electronics or appliances and you dont want to have to deal with the chaos that is Wal Mart then you go to Best Buy. Plain and simple. Wal Marts electronics are not any cheaper they just have cheaper brands. So if thats not what youre after then youre going to best buy so the woman with the see through pants and pink thong walking around yelling at her 6 kids can be postponed for another day.

I purchased an item on 2/25 and returned it on 3/13. They have a policy of in-store credit after 14 days on a return. I was at day 16 so I got in-store credit. I then tried to purchase some gift cards and xbox live cards which are located IN STORE, but was told this is against their policy. If youre planning on using your Best Buy in-store credit on items that Best Buy carries in their store know that you wont be able to actually purchase them.

Went in today to buy a TV and the guy that was trying to help didnt seem to really care and I was wanting to look at one particular TV which they said isnt working right and someone was coming to fix it quickly then was like sorry hes not going to be able to. But also come to find out that the TV I was looking at wasnt going to work for me but they didnt seemed to not know anything when I asked some questions because I found out from a different best buy place that they shouldve told you that. Will never shop there again.

I placed an order for 2 8gb ram upgrades online for curbside pick up. Everything was fine until when I tried to install it the next day. They were not the the ones I ordered and were not compatible with my laptop. Upon returning them to the store today the young lady doing the return had no interest in helping me and in fact she seemed as if I was stopping her from being somewhere. Did not try to get me the ones that I paid for, did not want to be bothered so I will not bother to go back.

A lot of great toys, too, more than some Best Buys (as a toy photographer, Im always checking for game-inspired and movie/TV-inspired toys).But best of all are the staff. Very helpful. Knowledgeable and with useful insights for comparing similar products. Zac helped us today, and we chose a tablet based on his feedback. Thank you, Zac!

Could not meet my needs on a computer, back up drive, mouse, printer, all bought from them, and purchased their maintenance program. Scheduled a appointment and was there on time. 4 hours later nothing was done to my unit. Dont make the same mistake I did.

Protection Plan GREAT! Customer Service... SAD. Walked in to exchange an electronic that was malfunctioning. Time to use the protection plan that you are always offered when checking out.Three employees behind the customer service/geek squad area talking. We were the only ones in line waiting, and waiting, and waiting until we finally got the acknowledgement from one of them (the only one facing the customer side) as he asked... have youve been helped?So why SAD? Because Best Buy should be about the in-store experience! Because interacting with their employees shouldnt feel like you are interrupting their downtime chat... Because any brand who has a storefront and competes with the convenience of shopping online, should keep in mind that in these times, having a customer in your physical location is a very limited and extremely valuable opportunity to engage customers.

I hate giving low stars but the place was mass confusion. They were not that busy, but they didnt have anyone working checkouts. Finally a staff person directed people to what i think was customer service but everybody just kind of crowded around. I got what I needed so thats why I gave it 2 stars. This was my first time there. Hopefully we will have a better experience next time. If there is a next time.

This place was a joke. Went to look for camera systems and bike stereo. There was literally 10 staff on the floor but I had to chase someone down to get help. Found them all hanging together and chit chatting. Just for them to tell us they have nothing but maybe check online.

Good customer service maintaining social distancing, really trying to up sell on products, when I explained I only had a budget of 2-300 for a computer (I understand this is cheap) the customer service rep. then loudly whispered to another rep that I just wanted something cheap, other reps response was then to roll eyes and Humph! Sorry we dont have anything like that well that BS but I said thanks and left.... so good customer service but can be a lot better without the poor shaming this was at the Ankeny Location.

When I asked to see the manager he acted like he didnt care either. They offer great warranties on there products and I’ve never had an issue with them honoring their warranty! I spoke too soon on this review. They still currently are holding my appliances and have been given reason after reason as to why they can’t track them down or deliver them. Management is rude! I did get 40 dollars for this upset ness however. I hope their rude again so I can have another 40 dollar coupon.

They listed a $10 hdmi cord online but they only had one kind and it cost $38 after tax. I had to find it myself cause the guy said they didnt have any. Walmart had one for 15 and I was in and out. Spent 20 min looking for one at best buy.

She also managed to educate me on the benefit of protection plans for electronics I purchase and how to manage the plan if I need to use it. None of this took additional time. Well done!

Horrid customer phone service. Called and was greeted by a robo assistant. Asked about cellphones and was give an automatic pre-recorded line about not doing cellphone services over the phone. At that point the robo assistant tried to get me to hang up and use there terrible website, but I opted to stay on. After being given another pre-recorded line about “high call volume”, I was urged to hang up and use the website for the second time. I waited 20+ minutes on the line and no response. I know it’s 2020 and web is the new normal, but believe it or not, sometimes when you can’t find something online on convoluted website, it’s nice to talk to a real human being at real store. A 3 minutes wait time is acceptable. 20+ is not, no matter what multitasking you are doing. Best Buy, get it together.

Finally received all 4 appliances. There were some issues with range and no call no show but they have been resolved. Installers made up for issues with efficient install. They cleaned up after the mess and made sure the customer was happy. Delivery is a drop and go which is not what you would expect. I would overall still recommend Best Buy as a good option for appliances.

Were new to the area but have had great experiences in other states. Sorry to say this was a bad experience. The store was beat up and dirty. We had a very hard time getting someone to help us. When we did get someone they just pointed and said good luck we dont carry many of those anymore and maybe we dont have any at all. Needless to say we didnt get what we needed. We left very frustrated. I hope you have better luck then we did. I hope they had a bad day. Good luck.

Helpful every single time I come in! Today I needed a signal booster! The employee helped me pick the right one and explained the cost of doing stand alone wifi from a cellphone provider and that it wouldnt be worth it for the cost. The lady who checked me out uses the product I was purchasing and was able to explain how it works and give me her opinion which helped solidify my choice in going with the product and with them! Great work guys!

For me this is the best Best Buy in the Des Moines area. Its in a great location and makes it easy to get in and right back to the highway within just a few minutes. The employees are friendly and helpful. They dont hound you but ARE close by if you want to ask a question. The staff is knowledgeable as well so expect your questions to be answered honestly and explained well. The store has a wide open feel yet has a great variety of what you are looking for.

We are long-time, loyal Best Buy customers, and their employees are a big reason why! This visit was no exception. I had to return an item and although the first employee did not know how to complete the return from an online shopping purchase without a receipt and only using my Best Buy app with the order number, the gal he called for assistance was friendly, helpful, and patient with him and me both, even though he had to call to have her come back a second time! Although we have been extremely disappointed lately with changes to Best Buys price match guarantee policy and pricing scams over the holidays, the stores themselves and the employees who work there are GREAT!!
