I went to the website and picked out my bow and other gear. At the time there was a pretty good size selection of takedown recurve bows. The guy called me on the phone to talk about the order and make sure everything was how I wanted it. Really good of him. This was maybe 2013 or 14. He put together a much set up on a greatree highlander. Good bow. Shoots fast. Not very noisy. Its a critter sticker for sure. Ive hunted several states and all kinds of country from grassy plains to pink granite domes to thick palmetto swamp and almost impenetrable forest all with this 64 recurve lol I never reviewed the place but I sure should have. Andover Archery did me right and for the right price. He could have charged more and he knew it. Everything was packed up real well and came when it was supposed to. I like my online shopping uneventful and boring. No surprises.

This is a great spot. Family run/owned business but even more importantly, Mark and Gary are friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. Theyve got a range and 3D range. The sign at the street is small (residential area) so keep an eye out.

I went in with a bow and told them i needed help setting the draw weight and setting up the peep sight. All the guys knew what they were doing and were very friendly. Not only did he set up my bow but he gave me great tips. I am new to archery and was impressed by the patience of everyone to deal with me. I figured the bill would be at least 30 bucks with the time and effort he put into helping me get my bow perfect, yet it was $20! I will only go back there and when i am ready to upgrade they are getting my business!

I am 66 years old, recently retired, and by accident discovered archery target shooting. I went to a local indoor range and was hooked! After several times using rental equipment I felt it was time to get my own. ( its like using the house bowling balls...gets the job done but not very satisfying) So I did my due diligence of research and the more I read the more confused I became (of course at my age that isnt difficult to do). I went to Dicks and Cabelas. The sales people were nice but not very helpful with my umpteenth questions (cant really blame them). So I decided to find a Mom and Pop kinda store of which there are several in the area. I decided upon Andover Archery and drove an hour to get there. And there I had the pleasure of meeting Mark Hall, the owner. Over the next TWO hours he patiently explained about draw lengths, draw weights, risers and limbs, how to string and unstring, the differences of arrows and a host of other handy tidbits. I also told him I was on a very tight budget and he found the right bow (firefox) for my age (old), my frame (dumpy and falling apart),my experience level (none) and my budget (small). He also set my sight and double nocked my drawstring . To top it off he gave me a mini lesson to be sure I felt confident I had made the right choices. And I did feel confident that I hadnt overpaid for features I would not need nor underpaid and have to upgrade soon. I am sure other stores may be just as good, I dont know. I do know this place will give you quality equipment at a very good price point and, more importantly, excellent hands on customer service. Thank you Andover Archery and thank you Mark. Ive already found my cluster at 10 yards...now on to 20!...and more!!

Took my archery certification there, and the people and the place is great. I am going to make the trip back there to support them with my business.
