This place is awesome. Staffed with incredibly knowledgeable people who seem to do this because the love guitars more than a quick buck. They took excellent care of my bass and guitar and helped me pick out a great Amp and case. Their prices are competitive with larger store fronts like Amazon as well! Ill be going back here for all my future guitar needs.

This is without a doubt the greatest Guitar shop in the upstate and possibly in the State. Ive been shopping with Chris for several years and Dom has worked on every guitar I own and if there is a more friendly, knowledgeable place I have yet to find it. Ive purchased amps and accessories for myself and my brother and thanks to their patience for the past year I finally purchased a new Gretch 6609 players addition in Cadillac Green and a Fender Custom Deluxe Tone Master amplifier and they sound great. Check this place out before you go to Guitar Center! I did not expect this to be such a big store when I pulled in the parking lot, but they have a great selection of nice guitars. Much more than most mom & pop stores. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and personable. I bought my American Preformer Telecaster back in February (for about $300 less than GC advertises the same model). I had some general set up issues when I got it home. I dont live in Anderson so it took me until May 22nd to get back up there. They took it no questions asked, and for no charge. The guitar tech took the time to sit with me, find out exactly what the issues were, and what my expectations and preferences were. He told me they normally set your new guitar up before you leave the store. He prioritized it above his other work, did a pro set up for me, and had it back to me within 2 hours. I was impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm to to help. All the guys there make you feel like youre the priority(never had that at GC). I will use Guitar Shop for future repairs/maintenance. Im also likely to look there first for my next guitar. They give lessons too.

My absolute favorite music/guitar shop in the world. The environment is much more laid back and inviting than places like Guitar Center. The guys who work at the shop are extremely friendly and knowledgable and always willing to answer any questions or just have a nice conversation. They are also a Fender dealer, so theyve got a fantastic selection of Fenders, Squiers, and EVHs. I actually got my first Fender Jaguar from these guys and couldnt be happier with it. I really cant recommend this place enough.

He told me his set-up/guitar technician had done all the work on all his guitars so I proceeded to bring a total of nine (9) of my other guitars (yes, Im a classic guitar nut-case!) to his tech, Dominic, over the past couple of years, and they all now play the BEST they ever have in the years Ive owned them!! Dominic is the best guitar tech I have found, and I live in the Atlanta area where there are many choices, but I choose to drive 2+ hours to Anderson just to do business with Chris and Dominic at The Guitar Shop! I had a Epiphone Les Paul that I needed to have set up. Called around to a few other local shops for prices on a basic set-up, and these guys had the best price by far. Dropped the guitar off and picked it up 2 days later. They did a great job and went above what I expected for the basic set-up. Really friendly guys and nice little shop!

A huge shout out to Chris De Vido at The Guitar Shop. I dropped my guitar off this past week to have some work done and told him I had to have it back by Sunday Moring. It’s been a crazy weekend and I had forgotten that I had dropped it off. Guitar Shop closes at 5pm today but I get a call from Chris at 5:10pm reminding me that I had not picked up my guitar. He told me that if I can come soon that he will wait on me. That’s customer service above and beyond and this is why I would never shop anywhere else. Thank You!!!

They fixed the fret buzz on my vintage guitar and their guitar strings are reasonably priced. I was extremely impressed with the hospitality of the staff. Chris was very helpful and Roy (I think his name was) did a great job!

This guitar store is the worst.... Owner is very rude, and even told me to take my business elsewhere if i did not like it! Wow... There is much nicer music store right down the road called Draisen Edwards Music. I am a veteran of the US Army and i feel like i should be treated with a little respect! Much more friendly and knowledgeable staff, and way better selection and prices!!

FINALLY, A GREAT GUITAR SHOP IN ANDERSON!! The CUSTOMER SERVICE is the BEST!! I had an input jack fall out the day of a performance, called them up and it was taken care of the minute I went in and only took 10 minutes . Great tech that knows his stuff. The repair wasnt just a band aid, The jack was replaced with a higher quality jack and the price COULDNT BE BEAT!!! To anyone needing repairs at a VERY HONEST price and WORKMANSHIP, GO HERE, you wont be disappointed and most repairs can be done same day or a short waiting. I believe the techs name is Don. If you like instruments this is the place for you. They sell guitars, bass, amplifiers, ukeleles, and other things. They also do overpriced lessons 30$ for 30 mins. I bought my little brother a really nice bass for his birthday for an AMAZING price!

Il say that the gentleman were very nice there. Thing is, we stopped off a base to be re-stringed. Also 2 of the tuner knobs were lost but the things are easy to take off and put on and they are interchangeable. They said that they didnt have the tuners and said theyd look around to see if they could find them and if not theyd quote a price to replace all the tuners. Ok no biggy. Over a week later they said we could pick it up and when we got there nothing had been done to the base guitar at all. They were so concerned about the tuners that they didnt even change the strings. They didnt pay attention to anything we told them about the knobs being interchangeable. They loosened everything and it was a pain to get it all tightened up again. We ended up changing the strings ourselves. I really thought a music store would know how all this stuff works... I guess Competence is hard to find.
