Holy cow this place is awesome! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Butch, who I assume is the owner. Very friendly man. They have a huge assortment of vacuum packing, meat grinding and sausage making equipment...not to mention all the knives. Walked out with 24 X 150 of pink butcher paper for $40. Its a great price and the meat rub assortment they have is awesome. If your in to hunting, fishing or smoking meat and package your own stuff I would recommend you making a stop here. They rent equipment too so you can package like a pro with out 10k worth of equipment...oh, and did I mention the 10% military discount?

Great store, with super knowledgable staff. I only got a knife sharpener, Butch the owner said I would be in for more. Sure enough I had a get few more for great christmas presents for my family. Really recommend for all your vacumm bags and game/fish processing supplies. These guys are legit

Everything you need to process your caribou, moose, or fish. Many of their products make your end result look really good! They also have a large selection of victorinox knives, spices, grinders, food savers, and sausage making supplies. The special vacuum bags they sell are the same price or cheaper than food saver and work better.

Ive just recently gotten back into canning and packaging my own meats, and Alaska Butcher supply has pretty much everything you need.I really love their store, and the lady at the front counter was really sweet and helpful!I would highly recommend them for meat processing supplies, grinders, packaging, etc. I go there nearly every trip into town.

Horrible attitude towards customers.

Alaska Butcher supply is an AWESOME store. I visit ever time I go to Anchorage. They have great products and the customer service is exceptional. The first time I made a large purchase there Butch (owner I think) told me, If I screw you, I will unscrew you. I have bought several items at AK Butcher Supply and everyone if them has exceeded my expectations.

Their service department is top-notch super helpful regarding vacmaster vacuum sealers I had issues with mine which I purchased somewhere else and brought it in to get serviced there, I wish I had bought my machine originally from them as they are so helpful.

We rented a vacuum sealer from Butch for our trip to Sterling/Soldotna.The sealer worked great for the first 15 or so bags, but began to throw error codes. We called Butch and he told us how to recalibrate the machine, which cleared the error codes. Sadly they began again after only a few bags. We called Butch as late as 10:45 pm and he patiently tried to help us with the error codes. Ultimately the error codes would not clear. Butch called a commercial processor in Soldotna and arranged to have them seal and flash freeze our fish for us. Butch went above and beyond to make sure we did not lose our fish. I would highly recommend this shop for their ethical business practices and outstanding customer service. Great company to do business with!
