This place is amazing!! I brought a really nice Patagonia down jacket to them to have the zipper replaced almost 3yrs ago. They fixed it and held onto it until now and sent it to me. They are great people who give Alaskans a good name!! Im incredibly grateful for there help and Ill forever recommend them. It was a replaced zipper that works perfect and maintains the integrity of the water/windproof of the jacket! Love it!!

Showed up at Alaska Leather all the way from Texas with a hair wrap in hand. My Uncle made it for me and the buttons werent right and I couldnt wear it. I reached out to the owner who was out of town but very quickly responded to my text. She put me in contact with her employees. They were super friendly and very helpful. They began repairs but I had to head back to Texas before they could finish. They mailed it to my home at no cost and I couldnt be more pleased with the work done. The only place to get motorcycle apparel with a really knowledgeable staff when it comes to motorcycle clothing, not to say that the dealerships arent helpful, but they really understand the apparel, and what features it can offer. I bought a jacket there today, and for the first time in years of riding actually had someone help me that knew more than the cursory google search on a product. Moreover the staff was more than friendly, and the prices where fair for the high quality gear they stock.

This place is wonderful. Me and my husband went in hey let us look around and then ask if we wanted help. Was nice because we couldnt decide on the leather. She helped us decide and they even gave us tips for styles. Love this place will be back.

Theyll help you get fitted in a helmet show you all the features and add ons. Also they were friendly and very understanding when it comes to returns and will help you get into a product more suitable for what youre looking for. Most selection Ive seen in AK when it comes to helmets. Very knowledgeable on equipment and what theyre selling

Alaska leather has high-end gear, not the Chinese knock-off junk you get on the internet.They tailor to your size, so you can expect whatever they make for you will be a perfect fit. Also, they can repair a lot of damaged gear. Lets say for example, you blow a zipper out of your boot, or maybe tear your $350 Kevlar Klim jeans. Chances are if you bought it there, they can get you back outside, without showing off your backside.

Completely ignored! I’m a rider and I was invisible to this team when I walked through the door to purchase gear. Don’t spend your money with people who choose not to see you! I did let the staff know after standing at the counter for a few minutes staring at them before they asked me if I needed anything.

Bonnie and her crew are awesome. Great service & great gear. They are doing an alteration on my leather vest to make it fit better as well as sewing on some patches. Have also gotten my helmet, riding jacket and Sena com system from them. Highly recommend. Great local business.

After reading all the stellar reviews, I placed an order for a sheepskin chair pad, softsole slippers, and sheepskin shoe inserts.Good: super fast shippingBad: Chair Pad made in China, not disclosed on site. I assumed (always a mistake) since they were the home of the Buttpad that the chair pad would fall into the same category. Nope. Not confident sheepskin is real.Slippers are unmarked but seem mass produced though sheepskin lining is legit. They run small even when ordering a half size up. Very cramped toebox.Insoles are also unmarked as to manufacturing but they are real.In summary, I wouldnt have purchased any of these items had I seen them in person.Im just bummed. Shop and people seem awesome from all the reviews.

Always awesome service, all their staff are willing to help with whatever you need, and promote safe riding! If they dont have something youre looking for theyll do all they can to order it for you. They carry everything from entry level to intermediate and relatively advanced riding gear. I recommend this local shop!

Was cool, but not what I was expecting. All motorcycle items. I dont ride, but if youre into that sort of thing, this is definitely the place for you. They have all leather goods a rider could be looking for, and it all looked like well built.

They repaired a broken zipper on my husbands motorcycle jacket. Hes quite happy they were able to repair it within a week. They also have riding wear and accessories. The staff were attentive to our needs and were exceptionally helpful and friendly!! Ill be back for those thigh-high boots!!

I purchased a long hair pad for my 14 V-Strom. I forgot to specify my bike and AL was very responsive via email in order to pass on that information. Item shipped extremely quickly and arrived within 3 business days. Very satisfied with the pad so far, its keeping me toasty during fall commutes. Ill likely be back for a passenger pad.

Nice store and very helpful staff. Unfortunately I was looking for some good custon leather work. Hard to find a local shop that still does leather tooling. But none the less a nice store with great products from motorcycle gear, winter gear, dog leashes and toys, boots and gloves. I will definitely shop here again.

Been buying the seat pads from these folks for years. This time for some reason, I ordered the wrong pad and I didnt realize it until I received the package. I called them and they will exchange the wrong one for the correct one. They are even sending a return label for the first one I ordered. The correct pad was less $$ but I told them to keep the difference to help with the shipping. TOP SHELF FOLKS and I will definitely order from them again!!!!!

Pleasant greeting upon arrival. Store was very well stocked with wide range of products and one or two items of each size. Staff helpful on pros and cons of choices, was honest and information was decision helpful. We have now been there multiple times, made multiple purchases and havent been disappointed once. I have a BMW R1200GS Adventure that has the most uncomfortable seat known to man. I bought a Touratech seat which was better but still not comfortable. Then I bought a Air Hawk. Much better but still not there. I then bought the Medium Sheepskin Buttpad. I appear to be several inches higher with all these bum soothing remedies but this sheepskin certainly seems to have made a big difference. Only did about 100 miles on Sunday but my bum was very comfy.I tell everybody its a bear skin and they are none the wiser.As such, for the sake of $88 dollars, it is well worth it.

I ordered a pad for my motorcycle and after I received the pad I discovered the website listed the wrong size. I contacted them and they told me to send the wrong pad back and they would go ahead and get my new one in the mail the next day. I specifically asked if they were shipping my new one immediately and was told yes.The shipping department didnt understand the note that was left, so instead of contacting the person who left the note or contacting me they did nothing until they received the old one back with the note I wrote. After that, they still waited until the following day to ship the correct pad. They did not contact me to let me know what was going on, I had to contact them to inquire about my missing pad.Very poor customer service!
