Helpful, friendly staff AND customers! The owner was super helpful and answered my questions. There was also a very knowledgeable customer that helped me out with some issues. I highly recommend this place for all your gun purchases, supplies and ammo!

By far my favorite gun shop in the Anchorage area. Jim is very helpful and considerate. If you need work done, he will do it, or point you in the right direction, and does whatever he can to help a customer. AK Downrange will always be my go-to gun shop for guns, parts, FFL transfers, or advice

AKD is a great gun shop, one of the best in the region and worth checking out. Jim is knowledgeable and helpful, and super easy to get a hold of if you have questions or are looking for something specific. Every experience Ive had at AKD has been a good one, and Ill continue spending money here.

I had come here from out of town hoping I can shop around for a new toy and yet its closed I do not know what the owner is doing but this is one of my pet peeves when google says there open. Then Owners change hours or temporarily closed but dont update their times at all, so potential shoppers just like me think that theyre open yet theyre not And by the looks of it it looks like it hasnt seen a shopper or customer in agesI did call there business straight voice-mail so I sent a edit saying there temporarily closed

This shop is never open on time, never answers the phone, or contacts customers on items received for FFL transfers. Not very professional. Does not adhere to posted hours of business whatsoever

New gun shop in the place of a gun old shop, the have a good selection atm with the stimulus everythings sold out everywhere, I managed to find what I was looking for the same day I walked in, the owner and employees are helpful, and the prices are great.

Jim knows his guns and accessories. If he doesnt have an item, he either knows where to get one or where to point you to get it. The transfer fees are the lowest I have found I town.The coffee bar with free samples and rocking chairs are bonuses. He carries and stocks a good selection of Black Rifle Coffee as well. Just minutes from my house, so no more waiting on the mail man for my coffee fix.
