I love value village! I love the fact that they prevent things from filling up landfills and give us the opportunity to re-purpose useful items. Every now and again Ill see something in the store that I know was donated for free that they are asking the same price as I could buy it new elsewhere, I try not to be very grouchy about it and just pass on those things. Its like a treasure hunt for the bargains. Today the bargain was this giant, unabridged, Websters dictionary. $4.99... every household needs a good dictionary.... this is one more than foots the bill!

The store was stocked fully with everything you can think of buying! So much selection and choices all around! The employees were very helpful with trying to plug in electronics to test the items and the cashier was extremely nice and answered a lot of questions! There is even a $1,200 signing up bonus after 90 days of starting work there! Its a comfortable and casual atmosphere to browse around and you can take your time to purchase stuff people really need and want! I get very happy to spend even more money when they have discounts on colored shopping rags. Today I could have spent more, but the Orange colored tags saved me more money, which made me even want to buy more orange tagged items! I can go on and on about the good things Value Village does on Dimond, So you should go there and find out yourself, the deals and savings! Happy Shopping!

Its a great place to go if you are looking for cheap parts for a project. Example: I was putting together a vacuum chamber and I needed to find an appropriate chamber. I found a food storage container that was set up with a one way valve in the lid! It was designed for use with a vacuum packer and was so perfect! Not only did I find what I was looking for I found it on the cheap! Thank you value village! I give them 4 stars for the wait at checkout. It was ridiculously long. There were employees scurrying about but none that would take up a register and help with the long line of ready customers. I would have walked out but I needed that vacuum chamber bad! All in all 4 outta 5 stars. If it doesnt need to be fast Id recommend value village.

Value Village interior looked inviting and well organized. Friendly folks at the front end -- so nice to hear a welcoming greeting as you come in the door!I needed a wool blanket, but wasnt able to locate one today. Kind of a unique item, so I wasnt particularly perturbed that they didnt have one.There were a couple of lovely fur coats on the coatsracks; probably some more I didnt even come across on other racks. Fun to realize this place can have gems like that!!

I was was able to assemble an outfit in under 10 minutes and was out the door in under 15 minutes. Dressed in the parking lot. Thank you Value Village for helping me look my best for $46 and keeping me on time.

We like to go to Value Village when the kids need clothes. We always find something thats in good shape and costs considerably less than buying it new. We always donate our old belongings too.

One of the better value villages in town. Its very clean compared to other thift stores. Also very organized and has lots of treasures. friendly staff and great deals.

Used to love this place but they keep raising their prices. They act as if they dont get everything they sale for free. You are a thrift store not a target....act like it. When you hook people up they come back. You are losing customers with your desire for higher profit even though you profit on donations that cost you nothing anyways

Clean, bright and better organized than in the past. Cashier Autumn (?) was wonderful!I could hear her chatting with customers and wishing them a good day while i was finishing my shopping.A ray of sunshine during our frustrating times.

Went here looking for furniture. Not big selection but had 3 wood deals for 25 dollars a piece and they were all in good condition. Got a table and ottoman for 30 total. Sweet nickknacks. Staff is really helpful too

This is a second hand store. It carries a variety of items from household kitchen necessities to clothing. Gently used and very resonably priced. Staff is attentive and helpful. Many items are new condition or never used. Worth a look.

I felt like a second class citizen at the Dimond location. Prices were way higher than other stores and staff unfriendly at an hour til closing. A few items had been mis tagged or missing a price and they refused to sell and i felt like they wanted to just leave and not help customers before closing. Salvation Army another donation establishment, has always sold anything mislabeled or no label. They are much more into improving the many socio-economic classes of folks and friendly and personal. Felt like home.

I appreciate that theres someone at the door counting people coming in, politely offering masks and sanitizer if needed, and a quick run down of sales & specials.

I rate value village 4 stars because i cant stay away from it. I love this place except for the staff. They treat every customer like a thief and every task even if its in their job description, seems to be too much for them. They follow you around and catching the bas guy is the only thing theyre interested in.

I would be really nice if the people that worked there would not follow me around or if they would not be so Obvious about it! It makes me feel like Im being stocked by a creepy old man!

I spent about an hour and a half in the store, And after I rounded up the items that I wanted to purchase I proceeded to one of the checkouts. A young lady told me that the four place I had that matched, were not for sale as items together in any order I wished. All of them had tags on them but they were not in the appropriate order. She proceeded to tell me that she had to go back and look through all of them find the exact ones that matched the exact tags that were describing pairs and a four arrangement. I told her I went through all of them and the only ones I could find were these ones and they were looked all exactly alike but they were marked as pairs for others parts of a four for another set and individual one that had a tag on it that said x2. I asked if she could just arrange it where I got them all for $799, or 1.99 a piece. She said shed have to get the managers permission to do this I waited for 5 minutes while people waited behind me. The manager said she could do nothing about it. I told the young lady first thing is one of them had a $9.99 tag on it for four plates. One had 199 for one plate. One had 399 for four plates. And one plate just said 2X as meaning one of two. I guess I might have upset the girl when I told her that I was making $2 off the deal if in fact I got them all for $199 a plate as it would have been 7.96 instead of 9.99. She said she could not sell the plates as they were marked for sale as 4. They were not marked together and that she could not find any of the place on the shelves that matched any of them! I had to put them back. I was shocked that these SALES associates did not make any considerations or had any ability to make better judgement calls. I paid my $84 at the register for the purchases i bought and I was upset. I left there feeling angry and feeling like at a value village the very least they could have done is made every effort to make something for sale rather than not for sale. The plates were nicely stacked but I did not see any order in any of these glass plates. There were two different kinds of plates below them or two different kind of plates above, and theyre all stacked together I see nothing that would match anything else and that I had to go through them and find the ones that matched what I needed. I really didnt think she wanted to sell me those plates to tell you the truth. Every indicator seem like she did not want to assist me. She insisted that she knew all the plates were over there and she was going to find and show me. Talk about poor service and poor attitudes. The manager didnt do anything to assist in making the sale. I give them one star. I let them know was going to write to the bigger supervisor to let them know how poor quality the service was as the two girls working alongside each other saying supportive nasty under the breath words to each other. Turmoil seemed to make them happy. I had money to spend and I come to find the things I like and want. Why bother taking 20 minutes looking for similar plates to be told by second hand store but I cant possibly purchase second item items because they were mismarked or Mis sold. Powerful intention not being able to do nothing about it as a manager. Kudos to you valley village you sure let down the right people the ones that really want to purchase something.

Value village is not a place to go for anything I did little bit work through labour ready for them before it became known as people ready The work I did for them was sorting stuff and there was a lot of good stuff that was in very good condition that got thrown away all because they didnt think it would bring them any money

Dirty, clothing is literally rags. Prices have doubled. The store appears desperate.

The value village on diamond has a waay better selection then the one in midtown.

I’ve never had an issue at this store. Most prices are fair and workers are as courteous as thrift store workers can be.

For atown that place had nothing and super small. Now the valley has a 4☆ over price good that someone else thrown out. So if u need to feel really ripped off go ahead and bend over.

Value village is the best place in Anchorage to find a good deal. They have everything from clothes to shoes. They have nicknacks and kitchenware. Furniture,books, jewelry, sporting goods. You find the most amazing stuff if you look. There inventory changes daily, they are always restocking the shelfs with new merchandise. They are reasonable on prices. Very organized for a thrift store. Staff is always nice.

It is a good place for second hand items but the pricing for most things in there I rather just buy it new.

They seen buy two pretty big dressers and never once asked if I needed a hand so as I struggled to get them out the door I asked could u help and they said we dont help with that kind of thing. Wow

Value village is one of those places where you never know what you will find. Today I found 7 good movies for less than $20. At the checkout nice young woman named Tabitha even ensured that the DVDs were in the cases, something I sometimes forget to check.

It was clean. I guest with the covid not a lot of people are donating cloth. There was not a lot of pick in my size.

You can get lots of cool stuff there
