My husband has routinely bought beautiful clothing gifts for me at this store. This last Christmas, he bought something I chose to return. I was given a store credit for the full amount and then chose to buy something that used all but $280.50. I decided to wait til spring when new clothes were supposedly coming in (I was told!). Upon returning a few months later with my gift certificate in hand for $280.50, imagine my surprise when the store was closed!!!! I called the number on the gift certificate to be told, by a less than friendly woman, that shed let the owner know I was owed a refund for that money. A month later, I have heard from no one and further calls to that number do not connect!! Have sent an email to the address given on the website. Hoping for a response.
I have always loved this store until today. I had just checked out a few items I had purchased, one of which was a two piece bathing suit from the sale rack. During the check out process I thought the price seemed too high. I asked why it was high. And and then I caught that I had been charged full price for two pairs of socks that were 50% off. That was corrected. However, even while I continued to check out I felt the amount seemed too high.After I had paid and while I was still standing at the register, I reviewed what I had bought. And sure enough I noticed that I had been charged double for the bathing suit that I thought was 50% off. The clerk who identified herself as the Manager said that the top and bottom were separate prices. I explained that it was not clear too me and told her I didn’t really need the top and would rather just get the bottom for that price. I only got the top because I thought it was one price. The manager just kept repeating ” sorry all sales are final on sale items, no returns or exchanges allowed ” I understand the policy but I hadn’t left your store or even the counter. It’s not like I left and came back! “ sorry all sales are final” I could not believe that anyone would consider this decent customer service. It is clear that the way the items were displayed were misleading and confusing. Any good manager would have apologized and refunded the item under the circumstances. I will never return and make sure everyone knows they will have better luck to buy online.... I prefer to give my business to Alaskans but never again to this establishment.Not even worth a 1 star rating.
