Went in with a few of my friends just about 10 minutes ago and right from the jump the lady at the front was rude. She was eyeballing and side eyeing my friends and her tone of voice was just horrible. As someone who can receive energy from others I left Mermaid Imports shaking. I have never felt so sick to my stomach leaving somewhere. The lady who was there actually helped me pick out my outfit for my senior photos last time I visited and it was a good experience. But I’m not sure if I will be returning. 10/20/21 @ 1:36pm.

My wife really loves this place. The have a nice selection of unique home decor and jewelry. They tend to always have a little something for everyone. My wife has purchased many items from this place to add some flare to our place or getting gifts for loved ones. The quality of the products are always high and the pricing is fair. Ive been inside a few times shopping with the wife. The customer service is always friendly. Never feel like youre an annoyance to them. The upstairs has bunch of items usually on stellar reduced sale prices. The one thing that is unique to this place is their suprise bags. My wife usually gets one and has never been disappointed in purchasing one. Like she says, Sometimes is nice to get a little surprise in the day.

Great atmosphere. Powerful incense hit you when you first enter and its a sensory overload at first but theres plenty of great gifts and items to seek out after you attune your self.

Plan to spend some time browsing! Theres so much fun stuff to look at from teensy trinkets to beautiful furniture. Some will make you smile but all will make it worth a trip.Fantastic, friendly sales staff: she helped me find exactly what I wanted and even laughed at my dorky jokes.

Very nice staff, great selection of incense and crystals. I feel welcomed whenever I go in, even with my kiddo.

They carry a large selection of worldly and new age items including insence, tapestries, statues, singing bowls, crystals, jewelry, prayer flags, and more! Mermaid has an entire discount/sale room that everu customer is encouraged to visit. They honor a weekly military discount, and always id on credit card transactions, a security measure most other establishments no longer take to protect your privacy. If youre looking for Indian cultural goods, there are tons of quality products at great prices. If youre searching for a metaphysical store depending on your practice their supplies are limited. Plenty of incense, meditation tools, jewelry, and some stones/crystals. A very wide selection of masks and decorations.

Such a fun store to walk through with a wide variety of unique gift ideas or home decorations. The staff is always helpful and nice. I love to go here and browse and its wonderful to find last minute gift ideas. I found several beautiful art pieces and carvings to decorate my home with. And some fun clothing that I havent seen anywhere else.

I wasnt expecting what I got. When you walk in, the whole place is covered in wonderful things to buy. Good spiritual things and handmade dresses and wonderful gifts.

This is my favorite store here in Anchorage. They have the best incense that dont ever give me a headache. They hav a wide variety of moonstones & crystals that are so amazing beautiful. Small but has some nice finds, I especially like their selection of incense and clothes. They always have marked down items upstairs if you care to wander up there and take a chance.
