Good service but Im not sold on GCI corporate

GCI is a scam. GCI ruined my Alaska experience with their outrageous prices and slow internet. This store only sells GCI products. Its clean as a positive?
GCI... 175 bucks a month for the greatest plan to offer and I still find my frustration in the service I get and the internet I have. I get better service and internet through smoke signals and doing the rain dance.
Terrible took my 91year old mother to get her a phone. Had to go get paperwork we came back to wait for hour then he said she needed another paper. Still no phone for her 😒
Less reliable than the other options but faster. Make sure you have your auto pay properly set up as they will send your last 34 dollar bill to collections without a phone call or email despite the person on the other side of the counter assuring me its all payed up.3/10 will not use GCI again.

They rude, they couldnt tell me ETA and didnt want to tell me how many people were ahead or in front me in C st you able to see that info yes I am aware that everyone is going for something different

Short lines if any, friendly staff and always helpful with all the questions I have. There is a GCI location closer to me, but Ill take the extra time to drive here just for the awesome service.

Employees at this store are very helpful and I dont ever remember experiencing a wait longer than a minute. Usually, they call you right up to the counter when you walk in. No hassling or trying to up-sell which is so appreciated!

If I could give half a star I would. I had the worst cable experience in less than a week. First cable box wouldnt even turn on, so I had to go back the next day and get a new one. Got the new one but my remote wouldnt turn on the new box. Went back that day to get a new remote. Then the next day the cable box said it was formatting the hard drive for over 3 hours straight. So I went back and canceled my cable all together.
Great service at this location with very friendly staff. My needs were met in matter of minutes, and i was able to leave the store with new services in under 25 min. You can really tell that the staff works hard to help every customer.Ive never had any problems with anything other than phone service. I did have to switch over to AT&T. They were a more convinient choice for traveling out of state and they have unlimited data plans. Besides that, Im content and happy with their internet, cable, and billing services :)

The customer service representative Erik at this location had not one care in the world about the services that GCI provides to their customers! My husband and I went in asking questions about internet service and cable, the young man pointed at sheet of paper on the counter and said that is the cable right there, then turned the computer monitor around and said these are the internet plans which would you like. We asked would you suggest the unlimited plan if your child does a lot of downloading of video games, and he said I would just get the unlimited and then see how much internet is used then change the plan if I see fit to do so. My husband went ahead and got both services separately, however Im almost certain that there would be a package deal with the two combined! Erik then just put everything in a bag and sent us on our way never asking if we needed assistance with connection or anything! I feel that an appointment should have been given for a service technician to come and install but Erik didnt set that up either! Now that we are home with everything trying to connect it all we call the service department and find out that the internet box is not currently active nor is the cable box! Now we have to wait three days for a technician to come out and connect all of it! Thanks for nothing Erik!

There are no unlimited packages and the prices are ridiculous. They finally wised up and removed the overage fees but they will throttle your service. Ive been using their service for four years not because I want to but because they have a monopoly. They have yet to improve their infrastructure with all the revenue they make. Anyone giving GCI a positive review has provably never left Alaska.
Not for the store particularly . GCI sucks for no doubts! No competition in Alaska so no good service? I wish to move out of Alaska so badly because of companies like GCI!
I think its just done with My family to get a better deal with My husband because they have a great deal of the same stuff and I have a good chance that it will help me to understand what it takes into my mind and I will be able to get a better understanding about phone and email services
A very good rate plans very clean and well-organized I like how a person will meet you at the door for courtesy and then help you sign in to talk to someone very well set up
Terrible service everywhere... live in the middle of anchorage and calls dropped almost every time. would be better off using a carrier pigeon
Have been a customer for over five years and EVERYTHING has always been great. Always great internet, cable and phone service. Never any downtimes or legal issues. The one time I was grandfathered into a plan and the new plan was better, I was credited everything and basically paid zero dollars for two months
The staff is always patient with my multitude of questions. Always good customer service and little wait time.
Not happy w/pricing band service is average. GCI is the only basically the only Gig in town and they know it.
Anytime Ive gone in the workers are polite and Im usually in and out pretty quickly, overall good service and clean store

Worst internet provider I have ever had to work with. Prices are through the roof with ridiculous caps and non-reliable. These caps need to be adjusted for the amount of internet dependent apps and video services are available. 64.99 for 50GB of bandwidth, then 94.99 for 250GB. holy hell! Then they have the ridiculous option to up your bandwidth by 10gb for 10 dollars yeah real deal there GCI. I hope your new owners do better but I suspect not, why would they when we in Alaska are so used to the whipping we ask for it by name. This is a monopoly and has been for years. This company is trash.

Great customer service, Vanessa took good care of us. Alot cheaper than AT&T for unlimited plan.
Long story short they lied about my account being closed and paid up, then failed to call me, then failed to notify me by mail after I gave them my updated address so I ended up getting a call from a collection agency many months later- GCI apparently failed to call me as well during that time. Terrible

I have always despised GCI and every time I have to deal with C/S, my reasons are confirmed. For the past 5 yrs., Ive been paying my Internet & Cable with a User I.D. I created after my divorce. I recently moved and ever since then, my bill (Internet only now) is only available under the old I.D. When I call, they tell me the old one is what Ive been using for the past 5 yrs and they cant change it or delete, so Ill have to create (yet another) user i.d. If you can find another provider, use someone else!! Ill be searching today....

Prices about the same as other options. I will say they sold us expensive screen savers that both they and the supplier didnt stand behind so they cost us an extra 80.00+ dollars. When I called customer service the guy just about told me off for asking them to stand behind what they sell.

The service was not always reliable. I came here often to pay my bills at the kiosk since paying by phone or online was a difficult task. Sometimes the kiosk would go down.
