This place discriminates on individuals with disabilitys. I have gotten fully vacinated and I have a medical note to wear a face shield instead of a mask. They were not letting me to pay my bill. Facebook recently misused my card information so my debit card was shut off. I was trying to pay my bill in person and they were refusing to take my money. Given the situation I cannot do bussiness over the phone. My phone is going to shut off in three days because they refuse to take the payment!

Incapable of dealing with military orders. About 5 years ago, I terminated my GCI cable and internet service due to military orders to move to my next assignment. I returned their equipment and showed them my orders to waived the early termination fees. Until today, GCI has not process this information. GCI has continued to charge me service, termination, and late fees. Eventually, after zero efforts to contact me because I cancelled my autopay, they turned over the payments to collections. Recently, I learned of the issue from TransUnion credit service, which caused a negative impact on my credit score and on my career qualifications.Incompetent employees and poor service. I am currently working to resolve this issue. Ive been on hold for about 2 to 3 hours each time. Multiple times I was disconnected during the transfers, and they havent call back. This led to me starting over with a new representative, all over again, who most of the time did not understand what they were doing. GCI customer service have also transferred me to the incorrect departments. Keep in mind I am trying to get help from a different timezone. Additionally, Ive email them my military orders for that time frame, Ive spoke with their specialist folks, their managers, the internal collections department, all of whom have pushed me around from one department to the other, or simply did not know what they were doing. Overall, the issue still isnt fix, and I am still on hold. For there reasons, I do not recommend GCI, especially for military folks.Note: Yes, after lots of efforts they were a few good customers service employees that did manage to help me to a point.
This GCI store get kudos for managing customers and covid19 very well. GCI, as a company, gets the lowest customer service score possible! 1.5 hours on-line to move two t-mobil phones to GCI. Then our phones were immediately disconnected from t-mobile and yet the sim cards would be in the mail soon. To regain use of our phones, we had to go in person to the GCI store and wait over 1.5 hours while the customer service rep sat there waiting for further help from GCI both on his computer and over the phone trying to resolve the issue so we could get out phones to work. After we were handed our phones with the new SIM cards, they still didnt until another 20 minutes of waiting and double-checking.
Best coverage in the state but little on the pricey side of Services but worth it

Everyone from start to finish were very nice. Bruce went above and beyond to solve or dilemma so so appreciated!!!! We got more than expected.
I received the most poorest unprofessional customer service from an sales agent name Jerome, also known as Jay. I understand the whole covid protocols to practice safety social distancing. But really, how he kept demanding to step behind the line after every time I step forward to the counter so I could hear him better. His tone in his voice was very unpleasant, as a customer his bad energy really rubbed on me. There was also one point during his service, he gives me the tablet and stated to confirm “where I’m at”on the map(literally Thats how he said it). Didn’t clarify what he meant, I wasn’t to sure if he meant current location or my resident location. So when I asked him for clarification and his response was “well, I don’t know where you live”. So I told him he was IRAZZ( a term we(poly) use for someone who is being annoying), he gave me an “EXECUSE ME MISS” response like he about to fight me. Manager on Duty was not present to make a complaint. Thank God for YELP ! You give me a negative service, I’ll give you a negative review.Jerome Puaa !!! Ai Elo !
I went to this store on 4/25 and tried to bring my phone line to GCI from T-Mobile. Etisone M., the store employee who was supposed to help me, failed to let me know that I would have to be on contract for 3 years before he ran my credit unnecessarily! We are a military family and plan to leave in one year. I would never have had him run my credit if he talked to me about the details.Additionally, GCI is offering a mobile deal they cant honor. Instead of being able to get the iPhone XS free, you have to pay extra for a XS Max.

Some of the employees where actually doing their job, but two of them a long dark haired guy and some chunky chick with curly hair were sitting behind there desks looking stuff up on there computers, then they were drinking tea and encouraging each other to chug it. Very unprofessional.

Depending on when you get there its pretty busy, they have a sign in system so you are called in order-like I said depends on the time you get there if they are busy. Mostly helpful staff, did witness employees get distracted by other employees while helping customers, other employees seemed uninterested being there, which is unfortunate. If you dont like dealing with other people and helping answer questions without demeaning or sounding rude you just shouldnt work in such places
Super good customer service ! David was so nice and when I had trouble installing my modem, the guy that took my call was super helpful, he sent me back to change my modem and when I arrived David had everything ready ! It took me one minute in the store ! Thanks
GCI has the worst service ever! Ive been attempting to dispute a bill from a service date 2013. This bill was paid in their office at the time I was dropping equipment off for another property I was renting in 2015. GCI claimed the bill had never been paid or at least they had no record of the payment. They were able to agree that the dates of my in store visit in 2015 matched everything I told them I did except making the cash payment! I spoke to a manager that promised to get to the bottom of things in 2017 as the bill came back up when I was attempting to get a loan. I was advised to pay it to avoid holding up my loan transaction due to the fact I was thrown into collections and got nowhere with GCI. Not being given choices for another internet service provider I am now forced to get service through GCI this year unfortunately. They are still attempting to charge me for the same bill that I do not owe before providing me new service. I feel that I am being bullied as no one since the initial 2017 call can give me a break down for a cable bill that is higher than any bill in the history of me ever receiving service from their company. I am currently waiting for cooperate to supposedly find proof of me owing this bill before I am able to get new service. My payment made comes down to their word against mine and in no way does GCI act like their staff member couldve made a huge mistake! This matter is so old that I barely remembered the service location. Shame on you GCI! Very disappointed!
Usually alright store to visit, I dont always like the long waiting lines. I try to go during the less busy hours. Staff are usually polite and willing to work with the disabled.
This is one of the better GCI stores for customer service. GCI made a mistake on one of my bills and the staff here got it corrected right away. For almost 2 years I have been a customer of this store because they earned my loyalty. As time has gone by the quality of my service has improved as they provided free upgrades to my internet service, phone service and cable service.

Sad that even at this type of store that you cant go in and look at phone cases and accessories. They are all locked up and you have to have a customer service representative unlock and help you with everything. Its annoying and they act like its an inconvenience. I really dont want to spend enough time in the store to buy what I need because I feel like a bother to them. So they always lose my money. Even the bathroom was locked and an employee let me in...couldnt even give me the key....ugh
This store has a very nice, modern interior with plenty of waiting area in a convenient location. The wait is usually not long here at all and store representatives always get me fixed up and back out the door quickly.

Only giving one star because their communication is very poor. We got their unlimited internet package. And when we signed up for it, my husband had to sign papers and give them the address to where we want the internet hooked up. As well as updating our information. But they were sending our bills to an address we havent lived at in over 5 YEARS. What I dont understand is how or why they used our old address when they had my husband update our billing/address information.On the internet package we got, the connection was great. I have a house full of gamers plus cell phones that connect to our wifi.

Its the de facto choice for Alaska, and while not technically a monopoly, I wish they had more direct competition for internet and cable. Just try finding a pricing matrix on their website; they couldnt be more obscurant about what their prices and features actually are.
They have certain clerkz who if u dont pay attention & know wut they are doing, will sell ya an inferior 📱 just 2 make a sale...i wuz recommended that a Hyundai phone wuz btr than the LG that i had previously...NO WAY ON GODZ GREEN EARTH OR IN SPACE WUZ THAT TRUE...THAT HYUNDAI SUCKED BIG TIME...DIDNT WORK RIGHT, LOST APPZ, DROPPED CALLZ, ETC ETC ETC...i have a new 📱: LG of course...WAY BETTER!!! I was there Thursday the 30th & had an experience with an arrogant, disrespectful employee...he treated another customer less than politely & I witnessed it & made complaint to manager...she basically was no better than him, had a bit of attitude, & really didnt seem like anything would be done about the employee...that store, since its remodel & big turnover of employees, has turned into the WORST... Ive been paying my bill there for many years & the previous staff before everything changed was Great!!! Now, not so much!!!

Horrible Customer Service! Bring your business to ACS or AT&T u- verse. I made an appointment by chat with Lydia for 8-12 set up for 7/13/2017, 7/13/2017 came i waited until 12:45 no one showed up so i called to follow up and the customer service dispatcher told me that they were just running late. i called again at 4:30 to follow up, then the dispatcher told me that my schedule is not until 7/14/2017. It magically changed for their convenience. I took a dayoff to make sure that i will be home for my appointment and they messed it up. So i tried to talk to the supervisor on duty but he gave me nothing, not even try to resolve the problem but just make an excuse that i was never on their schedule for today. When i said, just cancel my order, he even said okay just return the modem to our store then. I was surprised because that is a confirmation that he doesnt even know what is going on, the main reason why we have the appt in the firat place is because they will be bringing me the modem to set it up. Obviously, he doesnt care at all. He just want to get rid and be done with me. This is very frustating and on top of that, i found out that i was never getting my alaska airline mileage credit for the my services since 2015 when i changed address because the person did not put in my mileage number, the guy even asked for my mileage card and my id that time. If only they know how to respect each others time and everything would have been smooth. Luckily i only have internet service from GCI.
I went on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm and there was only 2 workers there and about 6 customers. It took about 35 min for me to talk to the representative and he was very unenthusiastic about helping me
