The mechanic at this facility is dishonest and lied to us. I purchased a vehicle there on the premise that the snow tires I had would fit. The mechanic assured me that they would, but in the end, they did not. Not only that, but the tires on this vehicle had dry rot and cracks, which explains why they were never properly inflated. I took the vehicle to a friend of ours and had to have $3500 in repairs done to it so it would be road worthy. I was sold this vehicle at $2500 above the Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds listings. This business is not to be trusted!

Located downtown off 5th ave, at first glance you might think this little used car lot cant possibly be worth your time, but I you would be wrong. Driving by, I noticed a sweet little Jeep, and decided to stop and take a look. Whats the harm right? Within minutes, Jennie the primary sales person approached me to see how she could help. Now mind you, this wasnt the usual sales approach, where they try to gauge whether you are worth spending time with, she was just a friendly person who was there to answer any questions I may have. She got me the keys to the Jeep so I could take a look at the interior. She then offered for me to take it for a drive, no worry no hassle. She didnt even come with with me, which was a nice change. Nothing worse than a sales person talking to you about how great the stereo is while you are trying to assess the car.When I came back, she asked what I thoughts, and started the negotiations for a sale. I was trading in my car, and was given a fair value without the nickle and dime for this and that, as sales people try to do. Within 45 minutes of my first parking, we had come up with a deal that made both of us happy. When she called her boss to make sure he was ok with the deal she was making, he said that he trusted her decision.To me this is a big indicator of great work place, and place to do business. Even the lot attendant was helpful and super friendly during the process.The next day, I got my title and cash and headed over to complete the deal. Jennie remembered me by name, and had the paperwork mostly complete. While we completed the paperwork, the lot attendant prepared the Jeep for my ownership. Jennie explained through every document, and was patient with any questions I had. Within an hour, I was taking the top off my new Jeep and driving off the lot, with a big smile on my face.Highly recommend this used car buying experience.Pros: Friendly small town style sales approach. Fast and easy, not the usual 4-5 hours BS negotiation process, back and forth with you, the sales person, and the sales manager.Cons: Lot size, but you work with what you got right?The Jeep had a strong odor of cigarette smoke that should have been taken care of with a full in depth vehicle detail, which had not been done. The Jeep was clean, washed and vacuumed, but I still think a full detail on a vehicle of this caliber should be standard.

Got my car from here 3 months ago and now it won’t run. What my mechanic says is it looks like they did a quick fix on my engine to make it sound fine but now I have to get a whole new engine. I tried calling them and asking who the last owner of the vehicle is so I could talk to them and figure it out but now the owner is declining my calls. From the other reviews sounds like this isn’t the first time.

This dealership sold me a vehicle without disclosing that it had a reconstructed title. Which is, according to my research, fraud. A reconstructed title significantly affects a vehicles worth decreasing it by 20-40%, again according to my research. I thought I was getting a hell of a deal, now I know why. I confronted the owner about the issue and he said I could return the vehicle, have my money back, or trade for a different vehicle. Which is honorable of them. However, I like the vehicle. But that doesnt negate the fact that people need to be held accountable for their actions. Since they were so kind as to provide me an alternative, I chose to give them a negative review rather than sue or trade for a different vehicle or get my money back. Not a bad car dealership except for one big thing they left out. Poor salesman actions lead to negative reviews.

This was the first time I’ve bought from a used car dealer and had some hesitation because of the ‘used car lot stigma’. However, I worked with Daniel and he was very relaxed and made me more comfortable than the high pressure salesmen at the new car dealerships. It’s a used car lot. They sell USED cars so don’t expect everything to be perfect. Daniel was honest about what was right and what was wrong with the car and gave me a deal that *I* offered, not one I was pressured into. Great experience overall. They don’t have the facilities to detail the car before you drive off the lot but they did make an effort to remove some sticky leaf residue from the trunk and give it a quick wash. Give them a chance and ask for Daniel!

This place is legit; they offer nice vehicles at a fair price. There was a false alarm for a mechanical issue soon after I bought my truck from them. Clyde reassured me that they would do whatever was needed to get to the bottom of the issue and make sure everything was right. Even though there ended up being no issue, their staff and mechanic were great throughout the process even providing support well outside of normal business hours. I wouldn’t think twice about buying from them again.

I wont generally write a review, but these guys deserve a comment left for them. My daughter purchased her first vehicle from them last month, it was one of the more pleasant buying experiences for a vehicle that I had a chance to be a part of. When I was looking to trade in my vehicle and get and upgrade, it was an easy choice for me. Ak Best Choice Auto was great to deal with: clear and polite communication, returned calls promptly with answers to our questions, no other typical sales pitches. They made the transaction easy, in and out in less than an hour (purchase with trade in) Our trade-in value was reasonable not insultingly low like I have experienced at larger dealerships. We have bought multiple cars over the years and I think this is the first time that at some point during a transaction the sales staff didn’t annoy me.

Took my car to a horrible mechanic shop where they had they over torqued my wheels and broke a few studs off! Counter balanced my tires! These guys get it.I drove up and was not bombarded with sales people like I was road kill that vultures wait for.The BMW that i bought had an inspection and looked clean enough to have just come off the factory line!Micah was able to tell me the origin of the vehicle and how long it had been available. He also offered to let me come in and compare different similar models on craigslist so that I knew they really knew their stuff and that I was getting the best deal in town.These guys get it and you should give them a shot the next time you are car shopping in Anchorage.

This is my second time I have purchased a car from them, and I was super happy each time! Good service and prices! I would recommend it to everyone!

Would have been 5 stars but the vehicle they sold me had mismatched tires of different brands and wildy varying tread depth. This could have been hazardous if driven in winter conditions. It has also done untold damage to my AWD system. Also the car they sold me had a tired battery which needed replacing within days after purchase. The car had only one key (also the key plate was missing, why is it so hard for people to keep up with keys?), a huge disappointment as the car comes with 2 from the factory, and are nearly $300 to make copies of. They also lied to me about the car having autostart, which it definitely does not. Aside from these substantial inconveniences, the overall experience was okay. I personally believe their asking prices are too high and I would encourage doing ample research of actual market conditions for any vehicle before deciding what to pay. It also helps to get any vehicle inspected by a pro for the added protection against overpaying. They will negotiate to an extent, but be prepared to pay above average fees. They did provide a ride to the dealership, a car wash, and a scent tree (for what its worth), but they definitely sold me the car with under a 1/4 tank of fuel, which is a degrading move in my eyes. They got some things right, but they could definitely make improvements.
