All I can say, stay away from this place. Volvo does not appear to be the reliable vehicle of the past. Volvo please dont insult our intelligence with your answers to unhappy customers. I am beginning to think only idiots with too much money drive Volvos. Fair value......what a joke, you explanation insults our intelligence.

Excellent shopping service. Minimal contact everything handled online except the test drive, which of course, has to be in person! They were very aware of current health concerns and allowed us to test drive without a sales person. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had.

I would rather get mauled by bear than deal with this place. There managers are unresponsive; their associates lie (one of their own sales associates gave this dealership a 5 star review). They have made dealing with them for simple services incredibly frustrating to wade through smoke and mirrors in my own search to simply talk to the service manager to get a straight answer. In the future I may literally drive to Fairbanks just to go to another dealership. Getting anyone to return a phone call is less likely than winning the lottery. I’m not even being facetious about anything I am saying. Unfortunately they have a monopoly on the Volvo market in the anchorage area.

Continental Volvo Cars Anchorage 2 year later follow up: guess what??? I used the parking brake for the first time since all the work was done. It had been disconnected and someone (Continental Volvo) forgot to reconnect. Result: a tow to repair shop and connection of parking brake cable so the brake could be released.Continental Volvo=the gift that keeps on giving 😡

Weve had our Volvo for over 2yrs now and the service department is great. They are friendly and efficient, pretty much what you want when your dropping off or picking up your vehicle. The car has been great and were very happy with it.

Unreasonable prices on their cars and their lack of desire to work with customers and provide decent trade in values make Anchorage/Continental Volvo a far, far less than decent dealership... if you are in the market for a vehicle, pick elsewhere.. your wallet will thank you.

I havent had good experiences here. Some employees tell you one thing then others tell you something else. Unapologetic about the miscommunication, not very transparent with the customer. Overall compared to other Volvo dealers, this is somewhat rock bottom. Boise is the best, Miami was great too, Colorado Springs was good, Tucson was average and Anchorage is rock bottom. Ill update if things change in the future.

The mechanics are good. Watch out for the service estimates. The prices on parts are very high & at $120/hr shop rate the labor isnt cheap either. What bothers me the most is how synonyms for the same part are listed on the estimate. I told the manager that I didnt want one particular part serviced, but then found out that the work was performed anyway, just under the label of its synonym. They charged $136 for this part which can be gotten from Amazon for under $40.

I have had a really frustrating experience with Continental Volvo. I took my 2008 X90 in at the end of Sept because an anti-skid warning light was on....its a long story, but I got it back Jan. 25. They, now, tell me the whole problem was the aftermarket auto start. No one mentioned that as a problem during the entire 4 months they had my car...not until I picked it up in Jan and found the auto start and wiring harness in the back of the car. So now I have no warning light...and no auto start :) I expressed my concern to both service advisors, asking if the aftermarket auto start was a known problem (as I was told), why did they not advise me/remove the auto start 4 months and $4000 ago? They referred me to a car salesman, Frank, who would make me a good deal on a different car. After listening to my story, Frank told me that it is a mistake to keep cars with over 80,000 miles and that he could give me around $600 dollars off a different car, but that he couldnt offer me anything that wouldnt need to be financed. I expressed my frustration, he shrugged. In defense of the service dept, they did provide me with a car almost the entire 4 months that they had my car.
