Great assortment of smoked goods and sausages. The young man was very helpful in explaining all the different products. We were able to sample a variety of things before purchasing them. They even have affordable options for packaging them in ice for checked bags to bring back home after a long plane flight. We got a lot of things that needed refrigeration to bring back to FL!

We would go here when I was a child. I love this place. They had the best stuffed pork chops. Im 43 and can still remember they were so good! I know back in the day the owners wife was the one who made the stuffing and it was sooo good. Ive often wondered if they can do shipping to the lower 48 lol

The guy at the counter was EXTREMELY helpful! I wish I would have remembered to get a picture of the inside! Lesson learned. Plan on checking a bag and you can take frozen home with you.

First off…Very clean shop! Does not stink! Clean tidy employees. I am pleased with the quality of the fish. They know how to pack/ship for your trip home. If you wanna catch a bus to this place for $4 or $5 round trip the 10 and the 35 both stop very close to this shop @ Arctic & Northern Lights (funny thing is pricing here is at a premium -PREMIUM- so the bus might be the only cheap part of the visit). -for ”fresh“ it’s like most grocers/butchers, they don’t have anything identifying catch date or processing date / freeze date. When I asked they said they know it’s from “this year”— which to me meant less than 9 months since it was Oct 1st.I spent about a week in Anchorage… throughout the week I kept my eye out for a place to get some fresh seafood to take home. On my last day there I told my buddy (who has lived in Anchorage for the past 13 years) …told him I wanted to stop at Alaska Seafood & Sausage. He wanted to come in and check it out too- he had never seen or heard of this place. I met 4 or 5 employees while I was there. (There was less than 10 customers while I was there too). One employee asked how I heard of this place. I said, “everywhere all week has been pointing me to this place, the hotel, Google, the maps, the tourism shop in 5th ave mall.” He replied, “oh good! That’s what I like to hear! That’s my job!” - he asked if I got everything I wanted- I let him know I would have loved to take some crab-probably woulda got some tuna if they had that too. Overall good experience. Thank you.

Amazing sausage and salmon. Stopped here on a tour and had a great tasting. Bought some goodies for our next hike. Really enjoyed the flavor of everything.

The products here are great, I really love the Jalapeno Cheddar Polish Sausage but the Summer Sausage and Polish Sausage are great too. This year I am trying the Cheddar Hot Dogs too.

We had our first moose meat processed there this fall. Unfortunately, we are discovering a lot of grainy/sandy bits and moose hairs in our meat. This is unfortunate because we paid them a cleaning fee as well.... I have eaten moose meat before that my family actually processed themselves and we never ran into this problem. Definitely could be happier with how it turned out. They were fast, and they were helpful.... just feel like they didnt put very much effort into making sure the meat was clean before they processed it. :( I expected better quality.

Obviously great meats and seafood, but a great little spot for German chocolate and little German gifts.

Great people and very helpful in putting a package together for my flight home. Also, for those that didnt know, they will prepare your fresh catch for you and send it home!

The ordering process was simple and easy online. It arrived when they said it would. The meat looks phenomenal. I cannot wait to dig in and enjoy.

The ladies and gentlemen took great care of me when I brought my salmon in on July 9th, processed the fish, called to schedule delivery, and the salmon arrived as requested on July 23rd. I have used AK sausage and Seafoods services for years, and they continue to perform superbly. Thanks again!

WOW 😜 I am so happy I finally called you the reindeer and salmon packages I sent to my mom and best friends family in the lower 48 arrived a day ahead of schedule and still cold AND they both said the same thing HOW can we eat reindeer WELL me being a smart a-- said open your mouth 👄 and chew and boy oh boy they didnt have a problem when they tasted it 😁😁they LOVED it thanks for making me a star 🤗 Now about me I ordered the spiral honey ham and did not realize it wasnt smoked BUT OH MY it was FANTASTIC it was big for 2 people so I had leftovers and ate on it for a week AND IT ONLY GOT BETTER the flavor kept on marinating next year I might not share 🤷‍♀️😁🤗 cause now its gone ☹️SO thank you for the great products and I love your family done radio commercials YOUR AWESOME and have a great New Year

There were definitely some issues with our order but we discussed everything with an owner and came to a compromise.

My experience couldnt be worse. This type of business practice gives Alaska Companies a bad name and I will be posting on every blog that I can find.I sent 25 lbs of cleaned Sockeye Salmon to be smoked and canned in tin cans.The estimated result is 35-- 6.5 oz cans at 5.25 per can ($183.25 plus any other hidden expenses which I expect another $35 for transportation to Anchorage at least) . If correct, that about $16 per pound with an almost 50% loss. I gave them 400 oz of fish and get 227 oz back. They must sell the rest as their own. :-(They claim they are outsourcing this work.My friend went to Indian Valley with about 22.4 lbs of cleaned salmon to be smoked and canned. He is getting 43 8oz cans for a total of $131.My lesson was expensive... I hope yours is not.I would recommend that you stay away from this business.

I have been buying salmon strips from Alaska Sausage for many years with never a problem.In a recent shipment there was an issue and I called them.Without my asking they offered to reship the whole order without cost.This is the kind of service that customers like me expect to receive.Thanks to Mary for the excellent customer experience.Charles

.We did a blind taste test from 4 meat processing places in Anchorage and Alaska Sausage won unanimously. Ive been taking my game to them for years and highly recommend them.

2019: buy what you want from the store and ship it yourself. 60$ in shipping for 50$ of merchandise that needs no cooling or special considerations is absurd. They add 10$ to your cart when you pick an item and then tack on shipping at the very end. Not impressed, not in a hurry and need no rush. Definitely going to skip this business for online orders. Not worth the stupid markup when i can manually take it to the post for maybe 10$.2016: Recently sent a gift outside to family and unfortunately it got lost in transit somewhere. Alaska sausage stepped up and sent another at no charge. That is two fold the happy customers from one experience. I would be glad to utilize their services again be it holiday or not.

I paid over $3 a pound for processing and they charged $40 for a Styrofoam box. Two of the vacuum seal bags did not seal and they put 3 cold packs in the box which did not last the flight. I paid $90 for them to put 4 filets in a bag and freeze it, $140 total. When I got home I had to put them in my own vacuum seal bags which seem much better quality. Not worth the money. Could have purchased a vacuum seal unit and still saved money. Not worth it!

Have this year to alaska sausage changed, the staff are very very friendly super👍👍👍The first salmon side I have already eaten was absolutely the hammer👍👍👍, still has to test the halibut ... 😉I am very pleased...

I can only say the best about Alaska Sosage and Seefood.The quality and processing of the goods is excellent.We were fishing for salmon on the Jetna / India River in August 2013 and caught quite a bit.The processed fish were delivered frozen to sea food every two days,packed and labeled with our name.We have marked the fish to test whether we also receive our fish.I can confirm this, all counted and marked fiesches have arrived.An extraordinary compliment to the Seefood staff and especiallyto Michael who stood up for each of my fellow fishermen.Thank you and see you next year.With best regardsRene Weibel
