I went in for some specific beads, which I found easily and plentiful. I particularly needed pink and purple size 8.0 beads for a specific project, and was happy to find them there. The store is always clean and the employees are consistently cheerful and helpful. Great store!

Its one of the few fabric stores in town, so of course Ill be back. However, I did not appreciate the security guard intensely tailing my partner and I while we were shopping. I also get that my name isnt of European origins, or whatever, but the fact that I was skipped over [name completely removed from the waiting list] at fabric cutting station and hearing one of the customer service ladies saying that she, couldnt pronounce that name, so Ill take the next people in line. WAS NOT COOL

Professional service orientated staff that didnt treat me or others in their store as most others stores do. Truly appreciate that. They more than likely have what you need and are very knowledgeable in assisting you or pointing you in the winning direction.

I do like going to Michael’s more but I had to make the stop and look at what they had to offer here and I was impressed and I was more often don’t count them out.

Jo-Ann fabrics is a good place to get all sorts of Crafty things, yarn, knitting, painting, wood, beads, baking, what nots, flowers, Custom Frames The Best Friendly Service they got it.

Had one item to purchase, it was a wait because of one cashier. Worked out because I picked up four more items. Cashier was I believe was Wendy, was excellent. Helped me out well

Im not a very crafty person but I have frequented the store a few times with my sister. There is a good variety of things here and for the most part we have been able to find what we were looking for. There was however a material that was not in stock at either Anchorage location or the Wasilla location. We asked about getting it shipped to the store so we dont have to buy the 2 yard minimum online. They said they wouldnt be able to do that. It would have been nice if they worked together with their warehouse or whatever so that feature was available.

The lady there went out of her way to help me get everything I needed great place. I was working redoing the interior of my 1984 vw Westfalia and they were the only ones in AK the had the foam. Great place I will be back.

Employees were unfriendly and not helpful. Employees seemed more concerned with stocking items and loudly talk about their views on the covid vaccine than helping customers. When I went to purchase an item that had a sale sign, it was full price. They do not seem to be up to date on what is actually on sale or care about the accuracy. Overall bad experience I will go back to Michaels.

My star selection is ONLY due to LP. It does not reflect my liking for Joanns.Like most other retailers in Anchorage, Joanns loss prevention has little man syndrome. Someone gave them a position of power that should have been better distributed. Theyre bored and feel the need to prove something.Last time I checked, shopping for a lengthy amount of time hasnt always meant that you are a shoplifter. Maybe it means that for once you dont have your kids with you and this time you get to see all the possibilities a store has to offer. It might seem like a small vacation with no kids begging for every toy they see. Or maybe youre planning your daughters 10th birthday last minute and the store you are in just happens to be the last store you will be able to make it to before party time and you want to make sure you have everything you need since she hasnt had an actual party in 3 years.What Id love to know is if these jokers would like to see what it feels like to shop with a shadow just because you like to see most of what they have to offer and you tend to spend a tad bit longer than the average person in a store. Most of all Lps here in Anchorage have managed to forget that THERE ARE STILL GOOD SHOPPERS out there, as well as their manners their mother taught them, if any, and a little lesson we have all most likely learned in elementary school or earlier, hopefully, and that is to not judge a book by its cover. Thats putting it nicely, every single big-headed LP here in Anchorage stereotypes and its a ridiculous way of trying to get their job done and feel better about themselves at someone elses expense.I could list at least 10 retailers here in Anchorage that have this problem its getting out if control. What will L.p. do when theyve gone and made the whole public too uncomfortable to shop and suddenly theres not even a position for them to fill because Door-dash has all their business?Were already pretty close with the pandemic but Im extremely fed up with it and would really like to shop without having to do a purse check to make sure I dont have anything new thats still un-opened or previously purchased here (I do shop quite frequently) or tell myself over and over in my head every time I enter a store remember to keep your hands out of your pockets and out of your purse so I dont get targeted as a thief and have my entire shopping experienced ruined with the extreme stress headache I always get to follow.Other than that, I love Joanns, there really is so much to see and I love that I have so many options and the best part is that little tiny surprise of the unexpected. Joanns always has multiple things you dont expect them to have and its my favorite part of shopping there. And the cashiers are usually friendly and most times ease the anger caused by the little security dudes.Sincerely, thats all😊

It was just okay and one of the women kept lurking around following us. It was an unpleasant feeling and seemed to discourage people from trying new thing or any DIY projects.

The new store looks great, i was there on grand opening day! I love yarn, some yarns on sale was nice. But some not on sale was priced to high, since it was NOT A PREMIUM ACRYLIC YARN. But i do love the set up in store. Staff was nice, yet one was on the Rude side.THE WEBSITE IS BAD, they really need to clean up that mess. I found it hard to get to the areas i wanted. Plus checkout for curb pickup was showing shipping an tax???Please get the website more helpful, as you will be sending people to Michaels very soon. Hope to see changes FAST

All three times Ive been here have been some of the worse customer services experience. One time I stood in checkout line for about 20 minutes and eventually had to leave without buying what I needed because the ONE cashier only got through 2 people during that time. Not the cashiers fault, seems like management just cant staff their store, just go to Michaels.

Smaller store then Michaels, but it is well organized and clean. Employees are friendly and happy to help in anyway. Prices on items are pleasing to any pocketbook.

I wanted to give this place a 5 for selection and price...excellent coupons on the app. But, a 3 for customer service. The staff are very unfriendly and not helpful at all. So, I gave it a 4 as an average. Michaels customer service is excellent but not as good as the yarn selections.

Curbside service during the stay in place order was great even though one customer was a bit rude. My order was ready and masked gloves clerks brought it to my car. I was able to get what I needed to make masks for my family. The high standards continue.

The new store is really nice and about 3x bigger than before. There is lots of creator space.

Prices not loaded into system. Had to have almost every transaction over ridden.Regular prices seemed to have gone way up with new location.

This store really has a little bit of everything. There is a lot of fabrics and everything that goes with sewing, along with sewing machines, different types of threads, needles, scissors, you name it they probably have it. There are so many hobby items, from cake decorating to making floral arrangements, jewelry making supplies, some wood working supplies, picture framing, just so many items you can spend a lot of time looking around at and wish you had the time to try them all.

Best place to get the things you need, however everything is from China and kinda junkie, plus everything is over priced just so it can be marked down and make you feel l like you are saving a ton...just like JCPENNEY.

Went in today, the day after Memorial Day, for the first time since the quarantine. I have never been treated so rudely by staff in my life. Granted, they are clearancing the store, but with new reduced hours, they could at least have new hours posted on the door so you dont go inside for 5 minutes and then at 5 get hunted down and told its 5 o clock you are done shopping, you have to go now

I love coming to Joanns mostly to look at everything and think oh, I can make that! and never do it, but i always get my small home decorations for the holidays and seasonal changes here. They have coupons that come in the mail every month and they are always having sales. The customer service roaming the store are usually busy helping other customers but are helpful when youre able to catch them. The store is clean, organized and pretty big.

This location has a lot more options and a lot busier. Great sales going on currently and super nice staff!
