Good place to get auto parts and also has a repair shop

I was recommended to FATS by another mechanic shop and am very glad that I did. They are very professional and easy to talk to. I got my starter replaced on my VW here and the turn around time was fast. Yes they often have a lot of business but that’s simply because they do a good job. They’re simple people who do honest work. I’ll definitely go back for any other mechanic needs!

These guys know what there doing. I work on all my vehicles, but the right diagnostic tools they have along with people using them. I would send anybody there.

I was completely baffled by the poor service I received after reading the reviews here. I had my car professionally inspected four days prior to bringing it into FATS, so I know it was in tip-top condition! I asked FATS to simply replace my serpentine belt, since it was on the cuff of getting old. NINE days after they replaced my serpentine belt, the belt came off causing massive damage to my car. There were shredded bits of belt everywhere underneath the hood! I showed my trusted mechanic in Fairbanks, and they told me that there was No doubt about it, someone misaligned the serpentine belt, causing a chain of issues.I wasnt too worried, because FATS has good reviews, and my invoice from them stated All Repairs Are Covered for 12 months or 12K miles on both parts and labor. However, when I called FATS, they immediately started deflecting responsibility, even going as far as to state, and I quote Those belt tensioners... a spring can pop just like that… Even a big bug can throw something like that off.Before taking your car here, you should ask yourself what is more likely: A mechanic made a mistake, and wouldnt own up to it - or a mosquito caused $2,000 worth of damage to my 2013,

Electronic steering box went out in my car. Had a mechanic friend replace it. He did a great job... But wherever he sent it to get the alignment done did a horrible job. The steering wheel was off about 15°, but I thought “it’s fixed and drivable, so I’ll just let it go” (Even though it kind of bothered me). When I went to get my tires changed over at another mechanic shop I know, I told him the story and I asked him about straightening the steering wheel. He said they didn’t do alignments and recommended F.A.T.S. He also told me when I picked up my car after the tire swap that both front wheels were toe’d out. So... I took it to F.A.T.S. and gave them the whole low down. Guy behind the counter (who by the way is an awesome guy) told me “we’ll get it as straight as we can”. Then he said “if you can leave it with us for the day, just drop it off in the morning and we’ll squeeze it in between other projects”. I dropped it off in the morning and within 2-3 hours he called saying it was done. Picked up my car and the steering wheel was perfect. Factory straight... These guys are awesome, quick and do GREAT WORK (which is hard to find, as very few here really seem to take pride in their work)... Definitely my new go to shop for whatever future automotive needs arise. Great job guys. Thank you!

Amazing customer service and every alignment has been done so fast!

Needed the coolant drained because someone put oil in the radiator they drained it out, and put nothing back in! Also asked to get the door handle fixed on the outside driver door they just switched the handle from the passenger side and completely messed the it up so now I cant unlock the driver door! And called and said they are dont and we can pick it up. When I said something b4 we left they said they can fix it but there will be additional fees

My car dealership told me I needed $5,000 of work done to repair my car without looking at it. I drove it to FATS and got a second opinion and found out the dealership lied and made up repairs I didnt need. The repair is only $350 This was a great honest mechanic at a reasonable price, I will definitely return.

Chris and Gil are super helpful and knowledgeable. Fast service, decently priced, and top notch customer service. Dropped car off for a diagnosis, and they had the power steering fixed, along with an inspection partially completed by the next morning. It didnt break the bank, and Chris was able to get my truck back to me way faster than anywhere else in town.Consider me a customer for life, because they do such a great job, Im spoiled.

If I could rate F.A.T.S. Auto Service more than 5 stars I definitely would. I was in great need of some assistance to get my truck looked at before it gets shipped out to the lower 48. All auto services wouldn’t help me because they were at least a week out from booking anyone else minus F.A.T.S. They too were over booked but was willing to help someone who had no where else to go. They were able to diagnose my truck and fix the issue with a reasonable cost estimate the same day! When I picked the truck I was surprised that F.A.T.S. not just fixed my truck, they were also able to reduce the cost even more when I checked out. I truly stand behind and recommend their services. Excellent and professional staff who takes care of vehicles as if it was theirs.

Just had my 2014 Honda CRV serviced. When I took it in it was running rough. They did the 100k service and the car is running like new!! Also, they were 200.00 less than the quote from Continental. They are fast and they communicate well. I highly recommend. Thanks!

Great service, theyll individually work with a customer and make sure his needs are met fully. The only down side is trying to get in the door at peak times. Id suggest calling ahead and having the part pulled and waiting for you to facilitate a easier checkout process, at most times during the afternoon & right before closing there is a high-flow of customers in need of help. This just shows how great their services are.

My shop has been buying from F.A.T.S. for a number of years now, I personally have a great business relationship with Tony Harris, and most of the crew. We place orders many times a month, Tony is very knowledgeable about all the parts they carry, he is always able to answer any questions or concerns I have. Part inventory is always updated, so we can continue to be on the cutting edge of servicing the newest models.

I can’t say enough great things about this shop. Out of the blue and in the middle of our vacation my car started stalling. These guys took the time to diagnose the problem, worked me into a full schedule, and worked around my travel plans. They are competent, trust worthy, and have great customer service. I have yet to use their repair service but theyre parts department is the best, go see Braxton hes got a strait forward attitude and needs the right info and he always hook you up with the best price on the right part! I have yet to buy a part there and have to return for the correct one. As an update 3 years or so later this parts store has still delivered on point service with the right part on hand or in hand shortly. I shop there for any real auto necessities.

SKIP THE DEALER, MIDAS, MEINEKE, AND COME HERE! THE MOST HONEST AUTO REPAIR SHOP. I took my car to the dealer, mechanics inspected my car, and I was quoted to replace my brakes for over 1k, extra services needed because my car was unsafe to drive, and it totaled to almost a $2k quote. I called in FATS to get a quote for brakes and rotors serviced and their prices were much less compared to midas, meineke, and all other auto shops who couldve serviced me same day. I had to wait 3 days to take in my car to F.A.T.S. because they were very busy those days. WORTH THE WAIT. I went early in the morning and got my vehicle inspected immediately and taken in for service. They walked me to the car and showed me exactly what was wrong before working on it. It turned out to be worn bearings and alignment service needed, my brakes still had 70% usage left and rotors were good. It cost a little over $300, but they did a great job and saved me alot of money from being cheated by the authorized dealer and other corporate shops who wanted to charge me $1100-2000+. This local shop is professional, honest, and probably the best price in town. Great customer service. I will take my car here every time and recommend everyone to come here, you will save $$$$$.

Avoid them if at all possible.

Went to see about an alignment. Got told they had an open spot if I was willing to wait. It would be $140 and 2 hours. After waiting for 4 1/2 hours I got told that they hadn’t done any alignment and I had a slightly bent tie rod which they had for $90. I checked around and literally everyone else has it for $25-$50 for same brand. They said for part and 1 hour of labor it would be $550. But if I installed it myself and brought it back it would only be $114. That is ridiculous for 45-60 minutes of labor. So at the end I spent $55 and almost 5 hours to get told I have a slightly bent tie rod.

Honest mechanics who know their stuff. Much better experiences here than visiting my dealers auto shop.
