They were amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. They give you an update on what’s happening. My car had a long scratch on the side, it wasn’t noticeable unless you looked into it, it wasn’t really part of what they had to fix, but they fixed it anyway, I was surprise how flawless my car was when I picked it up. Will definitely recommend this auto shop.

Going to a body shop is often the result of a not-happy event, like a fender-bender -- but if youve got to go, this would be the place. They coordinated beautifully with Geico to get our car in, Enterprise was waiting with a car for us to drive in the interim, I was given clear expectations around when the work would be done, and I appreciated the proactive communication. Start to finish, a pleasure. Highly highly recommended.

Pretty quick work. Turned the vehicle in on a Monday. I was projected Friday it would be done. It got finished on Wednesday ahead of time. Only thing to complain about is that they broke a plastic light shroud on my door panel and failed to replace or inform me about it. For that 4 stars. 9/10 paint repair. Looked like it never even happend.

Fix It did an amazing job on my vehicle, when I picked it up it was like no other car had hit it! My baby looks gorgeous as always. Although I did have to wait a substantial time to get it back, it was worth the wait. The staff made sure I got the necessary updates on my car repairs. Im sure Id take my car back if needed, hopefully not too soon 🤭. Thank you!

They did a great job! I was rear ended before moving here and while insurance took care of the cost, Fix Auto took care of making my bumper look brand new. The work and paint was flawless and they got me back in my truck in the time quoted. But beyond that, they made sure I had rides and a car wash too. They gave me an estimated time of three weeks due to covid and took less than that! Amazing service and I gotta shout outside the girls working up front for their customer service!! Our brand new 2021 VW Tiguan was rear ended on May 22nd and we dropped it off at Fix Auto May 25th. The estimator, Brian, told us on that day after looking over the car that once the parts came in it would be a 9-10 day job in their shop at most. He was estimating 2-3 weeks tops. We were very confident in him and the company as they were very assuring and helpful.The problem has become the fact that it has been 7 weeks and we STILL do not have our vehicle.We were told the parts were to arrive on 6/7 which then delayed to an unknown time, but told by staff that the car will be ready for pickup on 6/21. 6/22 we were told we are patiently waiting for your parts to come in and then on the same day told the repairs should be completed by the end of next week after someone on staff had spoken with the dealership. Excited for our car to be done and keeping ourselves as patient as possible with understanding of the delays because of the global pandemic, we said thank you and please keep us updated. 6/24 another text saying around the week of July 7th our car would be ready to be picked up. Unsure when they actually received parts. At this point, we explained to Fix Auto the frustration we were feeling politely and professionally. On 7/1 Vehicle is currently in body phase and we will let you know once your vehicle has moved to the next phase or something comes up. Again grateful for a text, but now a little older and wiser we asked them to explain what this meant and what exactly the next steps were. We also asked to get a complete breakdown of what exactly was repaired. After some back and forth where we did not receive a list of what exactly had been done, we were told that same day (7/1) our car is expected to go to paint by tomorrow. On 7/6 the text: We are prepping your vehicle for paint. We asked for an official date of completion to which we received, We dont give out promise dates, but it looks like your car should be ready next week. Early Friday, 7/9 Brian from Fix Auto left us a voicemail to let us know there was a part found that needs to be repainted. My husband gave him a call back and spoke with Brian that morning (around 10am) and Brian said If its not done by the end of the day today I 100% guarantee it will be done on Monday.Today is Monday 7/12 and we reached out to Fix Auto who said everything is looking good for today and after receiving no information about delays we drove to Fix Auto at 4:30pm to pick up our car. We were turned away after a conversation with Brian stating that they were still not done with programming. We do not feel as though a single person at Fix Auto empathized with us or acted as our advocate when we walked in that building today or for this entire ordeal. Although there was plenty of text and surface communication from front office staff, we did not feel we were ANY type of priority and felt that our understanding and quiet frustration was 100% taken advantage of. There was no plan, no upfront and honest communication, no check ins that really meant anything and then an actual promise from our estimator that was not upheld with zero responsibility on his part. If its an issue with lack of staff? Be upfront. If its an issue with new problems theyre finding with the car? Be upfront with us. We still do not even know the extent of the damage or repair after asking multiple times.There are things more important than cars in this world, but there is no replacement for the lack of trust and respect that this business now holds in our standards. Our opinion is take your business somewhere where they will not take advantage of you and leave your car last on the list for 7 weeks running if you show signs of patience and understanding. It feels as though if we had been rude and disrespectful we would have gotten our car 3 weeks ago.

I was told my truck was finally done after waiting over a month and went to pick up my truck and it looked almost worse than when I dropped it off…the brand new taillight was all broken as if it had been dropped. The plate on the tailgate was not on correctly and was sticking out like an inch from tailgate, the wheel flares weren’t even attached to the truck properly, the decal wasn’t reapplied, the exhaust wasn’t even touched and the lady argued that it was suppose to look that way. They kept insisting I take my truck home and they were going to order a new tail light…I refused to drive it off the lot like that. Geico adjustor told me to keep the rental and he will take care of it. I got a call a couple more weeks later that it was now done….my bed of my truck and tail gate are all off and not aligned. I would never take another vehicle there if they were the last option on earth. I will be taking my truck to get a second look from another company. So when Geico highly recommends them…don’t do it!!

I had a wonderful experience with fix auto on Gambell. They were very straight forward from the beginning explaining the entire process and walking me through everything they were going to do. When I dropped off my car, I was updated daily by text messages on the status of my car. They told me when they were starting repairs and when it would be done by. They answered any questions I had promptly by text and sent me an outline of everything they did. When I picked up my car, l notice they fixed more then I had asked for with no additional charge, and I got a lifetime warranty. Front desk had great customer service and I got my car back in a timely manner. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a stressfree car repair.

I picked my car today and they were supposed to fix both sides post accident. No one informed me they weren’t fixing the other side. NOR did they replace the light on the RIGHT side of the vehicle where it has the most impact in the snowbank. Front desk ladies can’t tell you where your car is. Their communication is ridiculous. They call me in Christmas Eve at 9:30 telling me my car is ready. They did not tell me they didn’t fix the left side and they didn’t fix the light on the right side. Plus I was working. Who calls and tells you to be there within 30 minutes like that ????? Horrible service and going to the better business bureau on Monday. As well as back to them to fix the light that they were supposed to fix. I’m disgusted with them.

Working with Fix was an absolute pleasure. It’s never easy/convenient dealing with a car accident but they made every step of the process easy and seamless for me all while in the beginning of a global pandemic. I received multiple updates throughout the week as to the progress of parts that were ordered and adjustments to the work needed on my car. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. The communication between Fix and the insurance company and the car rental place was stellar. Fix definitely went above and beyond and whenever I need car repairs, they’re gunna be the ones I call.

I didnt even know this place existed, until my car was hit by a drunk driver, and through the process, I noticed the business to be in the number one spot on my list of recommended shops to go to for repairs, via State Farm. Fix Auto on Gambell sits where a Safeway grocery store used to be back in the day.Pros: I was able to set up an appointment online, and parking is ample within a fenced in area with drop off options available. Communication is good, yet needs tighter attention because not everyone does the texting thing. Front desk area is spacious, and the young ladies who help with phone calls and check in are, for the most part, friendly and professional. The work can be done quite fast, given the timing.Cons: The statement Specializes in collision repair does not justify installing a taillight improperly, causing the customer (me) to have to make a return visit with inquiry to get a re-do. A film of white dust was left on the black leather interior of the back seat. Getting the car done in one day was great, but it would have been nice to know about that had the communication been conveyed per my request with a voicemail and/or email, both of which were available. Like I said, not everyone does the texting thing.Super Pro: Christy was able to tie it all up for me in the end, and had she just been able to clone herself, my experience with Fix Auto on Gambell would have been an easy TEN. I am posting this as a warning for anyone planning on possibly going to Fix Auto Gambell. My experience with Fix Auto Gambell was the most dreadful experience I have had with any automotive shop to date. Before I say anymore, the customer service representatives were pleasant and easy to work with. Everyone else including the Fix Auto Corporation was appalling inept. My truck had minor to moderate damage. The truck had a completion estimate of 30 days to be fixed. I dropped my truck off on July 9th 2020.On October 29th 2020, 112 days later I picked up my truck completely dissatisfied. Parts were missing, little to no quality control, Scratches all over truck interior ect. I ended up having to take my truck to a different shop to have them fix everything Gambell had messed up. I will never be working with and never recommend anyone to go to Fix Auto Gambell ever.

Cuts way to many corners and they are good at hiding it too! Avoid at all cost!Bondo was on so think it cracked within a few years and other locations under a plastic panel so couldnt see it till its way to late rusted away. My auto start was fried, a few of my wiring was cut(tailights and rear defroster). Yeah orange peel & yellow streak showing thru the silver paint. So i sold the car it wasnt worth to argue with them since they denied me the first few times of back and forth with them.Sure in heck didnt do OEM quality instead of gluing a protective rocker panel cover like the oem they used double sided tape which in returned failed in a few years, collected dirt & rocks which made it very hard to clean since it wasnt glued on like the oem(none repaired side which is oem is and Ive owned the car since it was new). Yeah never again going to these undercut recommendations from the insurance(geico at this matter) shops. Every time I have always problems. It was some kid that had to be no older then 20 that was working on my car so that wasnt a good sign to boot and it showed.

The customer service is great. But when I got my truck back from them it was missing parts from my bed and my hitch mounting bolts to my bumper is cross threaded. The tail gate alignment is off. You can see blemishes in the paint. The bed was filled with paint dust. Underneath my hood had paint dust as well. So in the future I will not be using them.

The work they did on my car was pretty good, and they were prompt with getting the initial repairs fixed. Honestly, Id give them 4-5 stars if it werent for the follow up.When I got my car back, it had just been repaired involving a loss of control accident where I fish tailed into the gravel on the Seward highway and both drivers side tires had popped off the rim. When I picked it up, they used the same tires (which is fine) but my rear drivers side tire was not reading on my vehicle display and my front tire was reading low. I was assured this was the cold, and to call and ask for a manager if there were any issues.That was mid-December. After I filled the tires with air 3 weeks in a row and they continued to both not read and leak rather quickly, I called. I got no answer. I called again and repeated the process of leaving my name and number about 5-6 times. Ive still yet to go get an answer. If this issue can be resolved, Ill glady adjust my review, but until then their failure of following up and failure to provide customer service after they have my money is getting them 1 star.

If youve been involved in an accident and are filing a claim through your insurance, select your dealer for the repair. No, Fix Auto will not repair your vehicle more quickly. Yes, they will use generic parts to save your provider money. In addition, they will not replace damaged items that are not causing immediate problems. They are a preferred shop because they fix your vehicle in the least expensive way possible.I wont bore you with a convoluted story you wont read. Just know that I am a customer whose experience echoed this sentiment.

We brought our new Truck into Fix it Auto on Gamble because the Gas cap had come off and we needed a new one. We had one of the guys that works there try and match the color for the new gas cap because it still needed to be painted before they could install it. The guy messed up the color by far it didn’t match the rest of our truck at all. When we saw it we mentioned it right away and were told there is nothing they can do unless we want to get the rest of the truck painted the same color as the new gas cap, which is beyond ridiculous.There was no apology nor did they admit they messed it up.Very bad service and the woman that works in the garage is very rude and has no business talking to customers with that potty mouth of hers.

I called to be connected with progressive (which I’ve done a few times in the past with no problems at all) and the guy who answered was rude and didn’t seem in the mood to help.. I still don’t know why I wasn’t connected with SOMEONE to help me. He was very confusing and argumentative with me; he basically refused to help. It was definitely very poor customer service.When you have poor phone customer service, it makes people not want to do business with you. It’s usually the first point of contact, and speaks volumes on how the rest of the company is ran. Just saying...This was about 15 minutes ago btw. Hope they set him straight because it really was not a good experience. I had to just hang up because he was so rude.I can see that nobody there probably cares, as there are plenty of other bad reviews with no one from the company replying to them. I will tell everyone I know not to go there.

I had to have major work done to my pickup because of a serious accident. The frame was bent and unrepairable. The pickup box was also unrepairable. FixAuto transferred my entire truck from the bent frame to a new frame. They did a great job! My 8 year old truck rides like it is new again.I want to acknowledge several people I had direct contact with who provided excellent customer service.Erik is the manager, Jaseon and Brian are estimators, Christy and Flo at the front desk and Tim who performed all the body work. I have to mention the diesel mechanic who handled the powertrain transfer, unfortunately I dont know his name and did not personally meet him.I HIGHLY recommend FixAuto on Gambell Street for any work you need.AKMAN from Michigan!

Had my vehicle go there sent it back twice to them to fix right still wasnt to this day also the paint job is horrible it doesnt match where they painted it has heavy and light spots where they painted and you can see the runs in the paint. DO NOT GO HERE!They took my truck in to fix it, brought to them but my insurance at the time, progressive, and they broke it. The engine is shot!I brought it back to them immediately and they told me it was dangerous to drive.Come to find out they didnt fix some major parts and I shouldnt have been driving it! Mind you i called them the very next day after picking it up due to a terrible sound, and brought it back to them after the weekend, since they were closed, i didnt drive it during that time.Then they told me the sound I heard want the engine, only it was making the sound e even when idling.Im going to try and pursue court!Because now Im out of a vehicle sure to there lack of care.They also let the battery die and ran it or if gas when I picked it up he basically made it sound like my fault and spoke to me like I was an idiot.They are disrespectful and dont care if they break your car as long as they get their money for the body work because they are not even true mechanics, which I didnt know.I would give them 0 starsOh and my check engine light was on and they just kept saying its because they messed with the ac. Wasnt true
