The best experience I’ve ever had with an auto repair shop. They are so polite, professional and timely. I am currently moving, due to being stationed at a different base. I explained that I was on a timeline and need it to be done before a specific and realistic date( about 1 month and a half after they reserved my car). They kept me updated with my repairs and actually got it done before that date. The company that manufactures my car was on about a 2 month back order. They worked very hard and looked around for the parts my car needed to get them in sooner so I could ship my car on time. I would recommend this repair shop to anyone in Alaska. They are honestly just flat out amazing to work with. Also the front desk is amazing. They answered right away when I called and was very helpful.

I’ve always had nothing but extremely positive and satisfying experiences with this fine, local business. Their team of professionals got my beloved truck in and out within days. Unfortunate circumstances led to my right rear quarter panel, taillight and bumper being dinged up. Chaz, being a quality business, is on my insurance’s preferred providers list. They had parts ordered and delivered within a week, remarkable in these times of supply chain havoc, got my truck in and out within a week, and it’s never looked better. They detailed the exterior and interior! It hasn’t looked this good since I drove it off the lot. Support a local business and get quality results should you ever unfortunately need auto body work.

I was in a fender bender earlier this year and Chaz Limited did an AMAZING job helping get my bumper fixed. Going through insurance isnt always the fastest, but Chaz was able to contact the insurance company and get everything approved within days. I was preparing to do some in state traveling and asked to have it done within a timely manner. My car was ready THE NEXT DAY! Justin and Jeremy were so helpful and kind. I had my car towed here on Monday, because it got rear ended. Fine. The employees were nice. Today I get a call from my insurance company that they are deeming it a total loss, because of the extent of the damage, and asked if I needed to get any personal items out of the car. I did have some stuff in there. Long story short - some technician there tried to keep the brand new First Aid Kit, and Roadside Assistance Kit - they were both in the photos that they sent to the insurance company - but not in the trunk, or car when I got there. I asked about them - finally a manager comes out, and he says that they need to stay with the car, because they came with the car - I said BS - then why arent they in there now? I had removed the floor mats, took EVERYTHING, all layers out of the trunk, pushed both seats up, to look under there for any left items - both kits were not in the car. Another technician came out, he says, I just went out there, they were sitting on the floorboard of the back seat - BS - I showed him my mats that I just took out - there was nothing in the vehicle except for carpet and the seats. Oh, and they took $2 in quarters, left me with the pennies and nickles. Shame on you Chaz Limited!!

Chaz Limited South provided outstanding customer service. I called and they gave me an appointment the same day for an estimate on a bumper repair. They were prompt when I arrived and Jourdyn was very professional and courteous. She gave me a couple of options for the fix. All I needed was for the bumper to be secured. She did this and didn’t even charge me. I would recommend Chaz to anyone needing auto body repair.

I cant say enough good things about these guys, the service was fast and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The parts took a while to ship in but its Alaska so youre gonna see that with any body shop. The turn around time was super fast, my Land Rover was rear ended and they had it fixed 24 hours after I dropped it off! Theyll work with you every step of the way and make it hassle free, I would definitely recommend them if you need repairs.

Chaz had originally quoted my repairs to take one week which I already thought was reasonable. They called me three days into the repair to tell me it was already ready for pickup!!!! They explained the process to me in the simplest way possible so I actually understood WHY the parts needed to be replaced and why it takes the time it does... they even texted me an update on the repair status!! They made everything simple to understand, and built my confidence up that my truck will be taken care of in a very professional way. Which makes me feel a lot better. Because they only made 1500 of them and that the repair will be done right the first time. When I go to drop it off in a couple of weeks from now.

This was a 1-time issue of poor service. I would rate 1 or 2 stars but settled on 3 due to past great performance.Chaz has done great work for my mom’s vehicle and my wife’s vehicle.But this time for my vehicle it was generally a bust. Part due Tuesday, I opted for Thursday for cushion. Dropped off vehicle by 8:15a, and at 1:30p learned they didn’t have the part. Got vehicle back, they had it by 9a Friday and I didn’t get it back until close to 4.They were very apologetic and did what they could to minimize the impact to me. My extended family has had work done at 2 other shops and no one has better customer service than Chaz. I believe this was an uncommon experience.

I was rear-ended in June and went to Chaz on Old Seward. Broken rear glass, smashed tailgate, and bumper. Dawn did the estimate and my insurance paid within 48 hours. After a couple weeks of not hearing anything I called and was told it would take a few weeks to find all of the parts needed to repair the damage. I called weekly for 3 months speaking to different associates. Always given an excuse until one apologetically told me my case had “fallen through the cracks.” Another month of no communication went by and I was then assigned to Jourdyn who was actually responsive and helpful. It was then I learned throughout the PAST 4 MONTHS none of the parts had even been ordered. Parts were then ordered and 2 weeks later I was told yet again they weren’t and it would be another 2 weeks. Now it’s almost November, 5 MONTHS LATER and I finally gave up and had insurance pull the plug. Seriously, 5 months is ridiculous, even in Alaska. Go somewhere else and don’t waste your time.

Chaz Ltd on Old Seward will forever be my go-to shop for any automotive repairs. This was my second time going through Chaz on Old Seward for my insurance claims. The first time was with my 06 Silverado LTZ which was involved in a hit and run to the rear bumper. Previously, I had attempted to night-shade my taillights black to match the paint and, at the time, was just learning how to paint. They came out okay but were not glossy like I had hoped. Before I could re-paint them, the hit and run happened. I brought it to Chaz and a week later picked my truck up to find that not only had they replaced the bumper, but they also re-painted my taillights! They looked 1000x better than my work. Keep in mind this was NOT part of the insurance claim. They went the extra mile, above and beyond, without me even asking. After that experience, I was SOLD. The second time around was a great experience as well. The staff is friendly, and the automatic text updates are awesome to get. They called me every day with updates as well. They even got done before it was scheduled to be. Thanks Chaz.

Summer of 2017, my RV was hit, had the side mirror taken out and drivers door dented. I called around place and Chaz Limited on Old Seward was one of them. I called and was place on hold for almost an hour!!! I was at work so I was able to just set my phone down and kept working. The receptionist that put me on hold never apologized and was actually unfriendly. I went ahead and made an appointment to have one of the estimators look at the RV and talk to me. I went that afternoon for a 4:00 appointment. Waited in the lobby for 30 mins before the estimator came out. Rick Erickson was actually very friendly and apologetic which is why Im giving my review 2 stars. I was promised that the repair will take place and I will be able to have my RV before that weekend when we have a reservation at a campsite. We missed it because they couldnt find the right replacement part. I never got a call within days so I decided to follow up. All Rick said was he was still looking for a part and that was the last time I heard from Chaz limited. Until this day, I never heard anything back from them whether via email or phone calls. Glad I took my RV to Stepp Brothers and was taken care of just under 1 week.

Hi all, if you are reading this Your probably in some sort of vehicle crisis. I want to share my experience with you. Last winter I had my vehicle stolen, the criminals scratched off all the decals to my truck down through the paint to the steal on the doors and tailgate as well as destroying the door lock/handle and along with the ignition. We recovered the truck and I took it to Chaz unlimited next to Merrill feild. My first experience walking in to deal with the situation I overheard the gentleman in front of me asking the secretary why his vehicle was not detailed and the lady said “well we can do it in the next few days” . The gentleman looked upset at this point and walked out saying “forget it”. So I walked up to the secretary and signed paperwork and left my keys.Fast forward a week later. I received a call saying my truck was finished and was ready for pick up. I came to pick it up and it was a disaster. I walked in, signed all the insurance stuff and walked out with my keys too check out my truck. Upon inspection, the new passenger door handle they replaced, wouldn’t open, they didn’t replace the gas door key, when they rekeyed the truck, then new paint on the doors and tailgate did not match, and to top it all off the truck was not detailed! It still had trash inside from the criminals!!!!I looked at my receipt and looked over work done, well they didn’t forget to charge my insurance company $75 for a vehicle detail!So I do back in and ask for a tech to come look at this work. Showed the tech manager Justin that the door didn’t work, had door wasn’t keyed, paint didn’t match and truck was not detailed.He told me he’s been gone, and didn’t oversee my truck being worked on and that he’d have it done in the next few days.As this is my primary vehicle this was a huge inconvenience as I had to get a ride there, just to get a ride home, and to be vehicleless for even longer, definitely a real headache.Fast forward three days, I got the truck back, they did fix everything to my standards and the truck worked good and looked good.In my opinion, they failed on getting the job done right the first time. They wasted my time, and in my opinion their quality of workmanship has gone downhill. They are trying to turn a fast profit at the expense of the insurance companies and hoping the customer just get fed up and leave.The conclusion here, would I go back or recommend Chaz to family or friends? Absolutely no. Chaz’s priorities are not in the customers interests anymore. It bummed me out because year ago I did have a positive experience with them, and no complaints.
