Nice convenient store with a good section for fruits, vegetables, fish, and meat. There is also a place that sells food, a bakery, and a small deli that sells salads. Tables to sit indoors at.

If you need Asian groceries, this is the place to go. They have a variety of veggies, fresh seafood, poke bowls, bakery, drinks, and tons of different Asian snacks and dry products. Prices are decent. Staff are nice. Store is clean and overall better than the other Asian markets in town. Parking is plentiful.

Good selection of fresh seafood, have a lot more ethnic food than I realized, at least compared to the downtown location.

I always love it here, they seem to have a great selection of items that obviously csnt be purchased anywhere else.This is the only place I can purchase lemongrass other than potentially in mountain view. Recommended for sure because of their diverse selection in produce and seafood.

Great fresh seafood here; we bought Copper River sockeye and halibut fillets, and both were excellent. Store is well stocked in general.

Always very clean and friendly with a wide variety of goods along with an attached bakery. The produce is very good quality, possibly the best in anchorage. If it wasnt apparent by the name, this store generally carries more Asian styled goods than western. The bakery has a wide variety of baked goods as well as coffee product. Definitely worth a stop by if youre looking for quality products or just something different. The only downside is pricing is a bit higher than most big box stores, as expected for the higher quality.

Love this place. I have a lot of memories here. Having coffee with friends that I cant talk to anymore. They are in heaven.

New Sagaya is the place for prepared foods, fresh seafood and high quality beef. The produce is excellent and they carry many items that those who enjoy Asian cooking. The staff there are always kind and helpful and the store is easily navigable. Their pastries and catered products through l’aroma bakery are always excellent...we especially love their cheerfully decorated and delicious sugar cookies! Try the eggplant or salmon pate as well...you will not be disappointed.

Nice store. I do not have much that I get here but it is fun to browse. I really enjoy getting their chinese food that is ready to get for lunch. It is quick and good. Not a bad price either.

We enjoy the salad bar, along with the hot food and soup bar. There is also a nice coffee bar with fresh baked goods. There is also a small inside eat in area if you want to sit there, generally we choose to take out based on COVID.

During my time working at New Sagaya and in the Deli department. Ive always cooked the food with heart, gave it flavor and made it presentable. Revisiting every now and then the food was always descent, today this dish completely changed my aspect of the food there.My order was done wrong twice so I just decided to take the Spicy Curry Chicken to not hold up the line. Mistakes were made, didnt contain much flavor, wasnt to my taste per say, it was more like a whole container of pepper was dumped into the food instead of actual flavorful spices.Now I love spicy food, but this did me in, chucked it about 1/4 way eating through it. Ive got to make sure the ladies give me exactly what I want next time. I dont know if people actually gets this or like this spicy (overly peppered) dish but count me out. Thought I could stomach it, but I take that back....

Every time I go there, the shelves are always stocked and organized, produce is always fresh, they have the best poke in their seafood section, if you havent been yet you need to give it a try.

Completely strange lack of normal phone etiquette. I called to ask if the hot food was still open, as well as what time it closed. When the store employee answered and I asked her if the hot food line was still open she just said yeah, its still open and then immediately hung up the phone. I had to call back and the same person answered. This time I made sure to ask when it closes, and she said soon. When I asked for clarification she said it usually closes sometime between 6 and 6:15, then immediately hung up again. Super weird interaction.

Overall expensive, but a decent selection of groceries, good Chinese takeout, Mac n cheese, sandwiches, you name it. Did I mention the bakery? Or the fresh seafood selection? Oh, and theres a Kaladi coffee store on-prem, too.

Go there alot for my work. The isles are narrow and for me stuff is hard to find. But overall its a good store to find things many other stores dont have.

Staple for midtown, reasonable prices, friendly staff and good customer service, and they always have something that you cant get anywhere else. Customer for life.

Only place in Anchorage to buy asian stuff is new sagaya (Midtown and Dowtown).The variety is good and you have some good choices but they are expensive even for Alaskan standards. There is no competitions, so monopoly is normal here.

I dono what to say. Its a cool store, there are things in that store you wont find anywhere else. Id tell you what they were but, I cant read any of the lables lol. So what did you buy? Good question. But first... a little about me... I grew up in a little prairie town in south Dakota..... im joking, what I was going to say is when I first went into that store I made a pact with myself that I would buy at least one thing in there that I couldnt read. Something different every time. So this time it was mozzarella wrapped fish/ chicken corndog. surprisingly good! I also like these aloe drinks they have. In summary; They were clean and accommodating, friendly and eager. Five stars.

I love Love the variety of speciality Asian foods available here. This store basically has it all. There is a salad bar, and even a mini restaurant where you can pick up Chinese takeout type food. They have a nice produce section with specialty items such as fresh shiitake mushrooms. Their dry goods are mostly Asian (rice, varieties of seaweed, sauces, canned goods etc.) but they also have a small section of Hispanic foods (beans, sauces/salsas etc.) and they carry all of my favorite Asian candy/snacks such as Pocky, rice wrapper candies, & these fruity gelatin cups. Their seafood has always been good in my experience. The last time I was there we got fresh tune that had just been flown in from Hawaii! They also have some great frozen foods like pre-made spring rolls. I SO appreciate that they have ice cream flavors not normally found in the US such as ube & buko (Its a Filipino thing.) They also carry things like rice cookers, chopsticks, sushi rolling mats & utensils, soup spoons etc. And in the front of the store is a souvenir type area with dishes, art ect. Some of the items are rather overpriced & I usually buy them elsewhere, but they have items here that cannot be found anywhere else nearby. Overall, its a great place to shop!

Be careful of eating their oriental food. There have been a number of cases of people getting stomach issues after eating there. This has been brought to their attention. Ive also eaten there a few times and shortly after eating there started having stomach issues. This has been case for most of my employees who go there during their lunch times.

Lots of variation when it comes to the cuisine choices

Love this market, but it can be expensive, but this is Alaska after all. I come here once every week or two, usually to shop for special ingredients for recipes when I cant get them at the grocery store. They also have a lunch buffet with decent food.
