We have used Reliable many times over the last 12 years for our rental business, and although we have had varied results on occasion, I can say that sometimes they really do impress me. Just recently, I scheduled a commercial laundry service on some coin-operated dryers that werent drying properly. The technician, whose name was Emmanuel, was FANTASTIC. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and even took the time to explain what I should be looking for / doing as an owner in my maintenance. I was blown away. He took them apart, cleaned them, and solved several problems I didnt even know I had, and saved me money in the process. The call was well worth the investment. Ill definitely be requesting him again when I call for repairs in the future--and because of him, Ill be using Reliable more now.
Logan (General manager) and his staff at reliable appliance are top notch. We have had are refrigerator and dishwasher repaired by them and they have done an exceptional job. The first repair to the refrigerator and this was no fault of reliable appliance but the home warranty we have on our properties failed to route the part up here in a timely manner that resulted in our refrigerator being down for over 6 weeks. Logan took personal charge of this once it was brought to his attention and finally was able to obtain the correct part and expedited the repair. I believe the technician on that repair was Gabriel. Outstanding repair technician that was timely and professional in every way. A repair that went so far south due to the home warranty company was salvaged by Logan and his team.We just had our dishwasher repaired by Rick the technician who once again was timely, professional and spot on with his diagnosis and repair. My tech was awesome! I do not recall his name but he was great! Diagnosed my concerns within the hour, verified it was covered under warranty and ordered the right part for the repair the first time. A few weeks later, came back to install the special order part, verified the repairs and thanked me for my time. During this whole process Reliable Appliance called me about timing, I received text messages as well and everything went smoothly. I couldnt be more happy with their service! Thanks again Reliable, no more trips to the laundry mat for this family of 4!
I will not recommend this place to anyone they come to my house twice in 6months and still having a same problem on my Electric oven . I used home warranty service to repair it, and was not working still having same issues when I call them to ask them lady over the phone She told me I have call the home warranty again for service, This is totally ripped off .There work is only good for 2 days so before you call them for service make sure what they will offer you as warranty.
It wasn’t all unicorns and rainbows but in the end I am very happy with my service. There was a 6 week delay where it seems my work order fell through the cracks multiple times, there is definitely an issue with competence and professionalism at the reception area, but Paul came out yesterday and did a wonderful job getting my fridge back on track. Not to mention, he revived my washing machine which another repair company told me to replace (would have been a major headache and very expensive).Overall, my experience in the last 24 hours with this company was 10 stars, which ultimately helped me to forget some of the hassle of the last 6 weeks. COVID and competent entry level staffing has been rough on many small businesses. Being a small business owner, my heart goes out to them. Customer service of the owner and repair specialists were top notch.
I have used reliable appliance in the past. I tried to call again about the same dryer and set an appointment. After being told someone would call me back I waited 36 hours and called them. The young girl who answered for the service dept. told me “my parts had been ordered” when I told here they didn’t know what was wrong yet- she argued with me that it didn’t power up- when I said it did- she told me to hold and then picked it back up and hung up.Calling back 10 minutes later she told me someone would call me back. That was yesterday/ still no one has called.Appliance by Steve came out the yesterday and fixed my dryer. Now that’s customer service.
I cannot recommend Reliable Services enough. Their response time, professionalism, knowledge and service are incredible. I would absolutely use them again and again!
Emmanuel Staub came to my home to fix my brand new Speed Queen washer that was having a knocking noise and turn the whole rubber gasket inside. He actually never had that happen with a speed queen, but he was persistent to get it working for me, and he did! Hes very personable, great customer service and I will recommend him again if I need any future repairs on my speed queen washer or dryer. Top notch guy!

While I was on hold for a service call to fix our aging refrigerator, I browsed Reliables scratch-and-dent selection. There was a terrific new unit in stock with a barely-noticeable scratch on one of the lower sides. I made a service appointment just in case, but transferred to scratch-and-dent where (super-friendly) Terrance suggested we come in first thing the next morning to check it out. He was there, facilitated the transaction quickly, and we were out the door in no time flat. The team came to pull the old fridge out (no extra charge, compared to $30 fee charged by Home Depot or Lowes!) and we were all set in less than two business days. Throughout, this team was friendly, responsive and professional. We will call Reliable first for any of our appliance service needs, and will check their scratch-and-dent inventory before buying new every time.
I was told over the phone the cost for a guy to come out was 99 dollars and the cost of the item. When I got my bill they tacked on another 100 dollars. I found out after I got billed it was service call charge ! If I would have known that I would never have scheduled for the repair. It was an easy fix. Thanks again for not letting customers know the real hidden costs .
Reliable appliances were sent to us to repair an issue with our new fridge’s door grinding against itself while under warranty. Paul was our technician and he was great. He called promptly the morning of the appointment confirming the time. He showed up right on time and was very professional. He quickly fixed the issue and helped troubleshoot some other miscellaneous questions we had. We will use Reliable Appliances for our future service issues.

The place was closing and the employees were coming out the garage bay door. I asked if they were open. I told them I needed a dryer. Terrence Mitchell smiled out me and said they were just leaving but I could come in and find a dryer. He was awesome. I picked out the dryer and they helped me load it up. What business does that these days? Terrence should be given a medal for excellent customer service and he saved my tenants from having to go without a dryer. Thanks Terrence I owe you one man.Aaron
Just had a run in with one of their drivers who almost caused an accident. He then got out of his van and stormed to my car, yelling about how it was my fault for him not using his turn signal. Definitely wont be using these guys if thats how their repairmen treat people!
My fridge/freezer went out the day before I left for a planned camping trip, of course! Reliable fit me into their schedule two days after I planned to return to town. Mark was professional and diagnosed the problem quickly. He was able to immediately get my fridge running with a replacement part and a guarantee. Super nice guy and very competent. Now I have a working fridge and Im 100% impressed with Reliable Appliance. Highly recommend them!

In the end I got the notes as to what was wrongMy refrigerator freezer broke, I called this company up as a come as soon as you can type service, they came while I was at work and my wife was home. The service technician said the refrigerator was unfixable and left no write up about what was wrong. I called and ask for the paperwork on what was wrong with my refrigerator, the lady on the phone said we will get back with you. A week later, reliable applience, what is wrong with my refrigerator? You basically said its broken, I knew that before you charged me $100
So found their add on craigslist for reliable used refrigerators, went to showroom, looked around and purchased a used unit.Double checked with the salesman, we wont have any issues with this unit correct, its going to Homer in a rental unit we where assured they go thru all units thoroughly. Got it down to Homer, as we took it off the truck, the cooling fins where literally 95 % clogged with dust and pet hair.We cleaned it and installed the unit, worked good for two weeks, then started to freeze the refrigerator side. Called Reliable Appliance about issue, they could not come to Homer to fix it, but with a little bit of coaxing, Logan one of the owners made things right by refunding our money. Would have to say that they stood by there warranty, even went a little further to make things Right !! Pleasantly Surprised, thank you Logan
I had a really bad front loader washer leak. Called Reliable Appliance and spoke with manager Ben who really hooked me up. I made the call Saturday and they had an awesome tech, Emmanuel, out to my place by Tuesday afternoon. Emmanuel had all the parts needed and was on his way in a matter of 30 minutes. My washer runs great again and I didn’t need to sell a kidney to get it repaired.Best part, supporting local!!
They came the next day after I called about a gas leak with my oven. They were ahead of schedule, very nice and followed all safety protocols for covid, wore shoe covers and a mask the entire time in my home. Thank you!
After being an hour later to our 3rd appointment, the repairman replaced parts that we told him specifically NOT to fix and tried to bill us for it. He couldn’t give us a price breakdown because he said his computer was broken and sat in our drive way for 30 minutes before actually starting work. (We have cameras on our property).This is the third time that the SAME part has broken and our tenants couldn’t do laundry. When we called to tell them the same part broke they blamed us and our tenants.We have been blown off by the manager and they still won’t send us an itemized receipt and when we call to ask for a manager, she conveniently isn’t around to speak to us. Super unprofessional company that doesn’t care about their customers. Save your money and just buy a new appliance, by the time they finally come out to your property it won’t be worth the headache and you’ll end up paying double.
I had doubts as many of the appliance repair companies we have used in the past were worthless.Reliable Appliance is the exception!! The technician was someone who knew about washers. He was a person you could interact with. He explained what he was doing all through the process. We had to make another appointment to do the repair. Two hours and the years old Whirlpool was as if it were new. The price was well below the cost of a new machine, even a cheap model. I am thinking the dishwasher might be the next project for Reliable.
Im now three calls into Reliable Appliance in the last 24 hours, simply to see if they have a part in stock. The first time I called, the receptionist did not write down my part number and had to call me back. No big deal. Then the parts department never called me back. I called again today, was once again told the parts department was busy with another customer (also no big deal), but its been over an hour and I still have not received a call back. I guess Ill order the part online, and a local enterprise will lose my business.

Our dryers heating element went out. I called the Big Lake store to see if they had the part. A lady answered and transferred me to parts. They had it in stock, which was great. The cost of the part was 1.5 times what the manufacturer sells it for, but its Big Lake and you pay for convenience. Paid for it over the phone. Got to the Big Lake store about 15 minutes later, just to be told that they dont have the transaction record and I must have been transferred to the Anchorage store and placed the order with them. More than a little frustrating to have a 10 minute drive turn into a 75 minute drive because they simply didnt ask which store before transferring, or identify their location when answering. The price also seems a bit ridiculous since its Anchorage and not Big Lake.
Had an issue with the microwave over our stove and we couldnt figure it out. I requested an appointment online over the holidays and received a call as soon as they were open for business. Scheduling was easy and they gave me a convenient 3 hour time frame. Great communication from both the office and the tech!Very respectful of our house, wore booties to keep the snow out. Highly recommend!
Xavier was very knowledgeable He came to assess the needs of our antique freezer. It is too old to repair as parts no longer available but is still usable for awhile. He gave us tips on what to look for when we do purchase a new one and how to keep ours limping along at least until the freezer we want is available.
This is the second time using Reliable, the first time was warranty work on a washer. I got Xavier the first time, and was so impressed with his knowledge, and desire to help and make sure everything was working properly i asked for him for this call.I will start with, be patient in making your appointment, they are ultra busy as they are one of the few companies sending Technicians into homes to do repairs, it takes a bit to get to the reception. That said, reception has been amazing every time i have dealt with them(3 times).Xavier followed company protocol and called 15 mins before he was headed my way, showed up when he said he would. He was professional, and quick, took time to explain everything i asked about, gave me lots of tips on how to avoid the problems in the future that he was fixing, was clean and thorough, and wore his mask all appt.I will continue to use them in the future, they are great and RELIABLE :)

Don’t waste your money- buy new it’s not worth the warranty they say you have. Bought a $400 dryer 2 weeks ago and it came with a 12 month warranty but it won’t heat up. Service tech come out and takes entire dryer apart and says it’s the cord. It costs an extra $123.00 and the $99 service call was waived but it still costs $123 MORE because the cord is not under warranty. Cords are $23.... point being it has now cost me the price of a NEW dryer and I have a used one instead...warranty my @ss...I’ll never recommend this place to anyone ever. I should be great full the $99 service fee on top of the $123 was waived I guess
Everything went really smooth with reliable appliance. I had a very nice woman call me and set a day that worked for me. She told me that my technician would give me a ring the day of and another ring when he was on his way. Paul did just that he was extremely professional and kind. He gave me a call first thing in the morning and let me know about what time he would be by my house. He was punctual and kept to the time he said he would be by I really appreciated that. He was courteous and wore slip covers while in my home and did a great job to make sure no water from my dishwasher went spilling all over my kitchen floor. Hopefully I don’t have dishwasher problems again but if I do I’d gladly call reliable appliance again! Fantastic customer service and a fantastic technician.

Reliable appliance serviced my dryer (cleaned out the dryer vent). A day before my appointment, my wash machine began to leak! So, I ask the tech if it was possible to sort of add an appliance onto my appointment.... He said not a problem and called to onto my ticket. Emmanuel was the technician who had to deliver the terrible news that my wash machine parts were discontinued. He said to call back and make an appointment after I had acquired the part (he gave me the part number so it was easy).A week later he is back and fixes my wash machine! Good thing, because I was wearing some of my last clean clothes...I noticed that this company has been able to assist a lot of people during the Covid pandemic. I will speak for myself when I say I would recommend to both family, friends and anyone on the internet reading this review. Emmanuel wore a correct fitting mask and was very professional. I really appreciate the priority Reliable Appliance has placed on their customers.
Reliable did some warranty work on some new appliances purchased from Allen & Peterson. Their technician arrived on time and fixed our issues within a half hour. He was courteous and seemed very knowledgeable. We will definitely use them in the future.
I have a washer leak and tried calling them on the weekend but was unable to talk to anyone understandably. I made an appointment on their website per instructions to have someone come out on a Tuesday because that was the first available day in their system. I received a confirmation email stating someone would contact me prior to the appointment so on Tuesday morning when I hadn’t heard from anyone I called their office and was told that my appointment was not available because nobody had checked their system and the earliest they could come would be a week out. I’m not sure how they got such a high review rating but I feel if you’re going to have an online scheduling system it should be used.

So, for starters I own multiple properties in Anchorage, and have used Reliable for many years both for my own properties and ones that I manage. That being said, I have always had great experiences with them for repairs, and believe this one time issue to have been a fluke.So, on Oct 22 I purchased a refurbished dryer from reliable appliance for one of our fourplexes. This was a normal dryer and not coin op. I was leaving town that day and of course the dryer went out that morning. No biggie, they said that they would be able to do the install on Oct 26. Totally fine, they stay busy so I figured that was actually a pretty good turn around.They installed the dryer without issue. Nov 3rd, I get a maintenance request from my tenants, saying that the dryer takes multiple cycles to dry anything, and has since being installed. I just got back in to town, so I go check it out myself. I coincidentally live in the building so I run a load of laundry. It takes roughly 6 hours for my load of laundry to dry. Obviously they put in a faulty dryer, so I call reliable to get it fixed.The soonest they can see me November 20. So my tenants and I have to go for 17 days without a functioning dryer, that they installed in the first place. You know, its Covid, they are busy. Fine. We will deal with taking 6 hrs to dry our laundry for a couple weeks.Then, on the 19th I get a call. Where the staff member asks me if it would be okay if they move my appointment to Sunday. They had 3 technicians call in. Again, I get it Covid. But when I say that I am not okay with waiting 2 more days, they tell me that I will have to wait, but will put me on stand bye. Why did you even ask in the first place?So your company puts in faulty equipment, then has me wait 19 days until you can come out to fix it....I get that you guys are busy, especially given Covid and everything. But surely you can find time to fix the broken dryer that you installed in the first place before 3 weeks.Update 11-20-2020I initially put in this review as 3 stars, and was called that evening by the owner Logan. Suffice to say, I was surprised as he called me at around 8pm, but it was a welcome surprise. Logan apologized for the issue, and said that he would personally take care of juggling the schedule to make sure that we were taken care of during our regularly scheduled time.The next day, the technician showed up and took care of the issue. Apparently some part had gone out and needed replaced. The dryer is working great now, and I believe that with Covid I just fell between the cracks with scheduling.I was incredibly impressed that the owner himself called to make sure that the issue was fixed, and will continue to use their services going forward. I truly believe it was a fluke, as I have always had excellent customer service leading up to this one issue.Review changed to 5 stars for awesome follow up and taking care of the issue.
I just took my dryer that Ive had rolling around in the back of my truck for a week and a half because I didnt want to pay $16 at the dump to get rid of it. Reliable appliance has some amazing employees in the back that took it out of the back of my truck for free and I didnt have to do anything except pull up to the door and open my tailgate. They have some fantastic employees working for them. Even being 11° these guys jump to action I got it done

The technician Shannon was amazing! He was polite, courteous and friendly. Talent that is hard to find these days! However, I will say the I put the claim in with Lowes and they booked a time, I called Reliable and left a message indicating that I put in a ticket with no call back. Called again the next day and told me they did not have any ticket and were a little rude about it. Keep in mind when dealing with people without key appliances are already frustrated and hearing a helpful, empathetic person on the other end might bring more business.

Mike, from Reliable came by this morning to fix my microwave. He was professional, but did not hesitate to admit he was a bit puzzled by my unusual issue. Within 30 minutes, though (with the help of an internal diagram) Mike had completely fixed my microwave! I could not have asked for better service--prompt, honest, totally professional, and did a great job of cleaning up after himself!
My experience was not the best. I felt like the jab was overcharged. But your experience may be better. But at least they showed and were very friendly.

He explained everything again when he returned with the part so I was always aware of what he was doing, which is refreshing. He has worked on an older stove in the house that is still running great. Reliable is always my first call if an appliance stops working, and they have been able to repair most items on the spot. I have also purchased quality second hand units for my rentals. I am very pleased with this company and there professional, schedulers, repair techs and sales staff.
Reliable Appliance lives up to their name: consistent, reliable service. I have had two Reliable technicians, Paul and Ben. Both were punctual, friendly yet professional and solved the problems. (A new unit that had a couple of glitches.). This may seem like an odd comment, but they were both well groomed. I’ve had some characters through the years. All in all I would say that Reliable Appliance provides excellent service because they hire solid people and invest in employee training so you can trust the service and the experience will be excellent.

Worked with this company for the past few years. Theyve been out to work on our oven, and 2 refrigerators. Each time theyve provided great service. Scheduling is always easy. I really appreciate the courtesy calls from the technicians when they are on the way. Repair costs are always reasonable. Our technician, Paul, was very informative, helpful, and friendly. While I hope I dont have to call them again, if we do have any appliance issues in the future, they are already saved in My Contacts.

An electrical cord recall by Bosch was made on our dishwasher and Reliable Appliance was recommended to do the replacement cord. Great Service. Fast response times. I had a big problem with a dishwasher. I had put several hours into it before calling the pros. Reliable ended up hauling it to their shop. It took them a couple weeks to fix it. This may sound like a negative review, but its not. Some repairs are just harder to solve than a simple replacement of broken parts. I dont regret the time or expense. I value good service.

His approachable nature and friendly manner made him easy to talk with and he allowed me time to articulate my concerns. He was able to verify that our machine was functioning correctly and showed me where the noises I was hearing were being generated. He inspired confidence and trust in him and his work. I would definitely call him again for other appliance service concerns.

Paul was great. Friendly and courteous.Solved the problem with my dishwasher quickly, fixed it and tested. He wasnt satisfied with the fit of the fix on the existing parts - thread stripped - so he got a new part to make it better. Tested again to ensure everything was working. Attention to detail and pride in the work was evident. I wouldnt hesitate to contact again.

Paul was exceptionally courteous and professional. He quickly assessed our situation, provided me with an explanation before moving any appliances and went straight to work. He was spot on in his assessment and was kind enough to allow me a moment to clean out from under the appliance (which seems to not have been moved since its installation). The software allowed me to have an electronic report and he made sure to answer any additional questions I had, while also offering kind and helpful maintenance suggestions. I will definitely use Reliable Appliance. Over the phone, Jessica gave me honest feedback, a perfect answer in regards to an estimate, on the low and high side, and helped me make a decision on whether it would be best to fix my washer or buy a new one. Living 4 hours outside of Anchorage makes repairs like this have an additional cost. I appreciate Jessicas candor and if we decide not to get this washer fixed, we will certainly recommend Reliable for their level of service and honesty.
Calvin and Lennon arrived right at the start of the time block they had provided me with. They were prepared to get the job done, even when the initial drain hose wasnt the right size they had a smaller hose in their truck that allowed the installation to go along smoothly. They did a great job getting the washer and dryer installed and testing them to make sure all the functions were working. The additional installation fee was definitely worth it.
Really appreciated the quality and timeliness of the service provided. The technician, Paul, diagnosed the refrigerator issue instantly. Above and beyond- Paul took great care to make sure my home stayed nice (with mats for moving the fridge and for his tool bag, and shoe covers for himself).He fixed the issue on the spot. The company name is a misnomer...should be called “Anything But” Reliable. We have dealt with them in the past, not by choice, and are now being forced to use them again. Have had them “fix” appliances in the past, with unsatisfactory results. When they can’t or don’t repair appliances they’ll try to sell you one of their “refurbished” appliances, which seem to be appliances that are frankensteined together with mismatched parts that don’t work properly. Then when they don’t work they want another service call fee to come out and not fix it properly and try to sell you another...it’s a cycle of separating people from their money, one service call and junk appliance at a time.

Paul was amazing! He went an extra step to identify the issue even though it was not straightforward and he didn’t really have to go the extra mile. Two services complete quickly and as quoted. Servicemen were courteous, professional, clean and efficient. Dishwasher install without issue - one tiny quick fix leak after he left but otherwise great job! Refrigerator door flap repair took some ingenuity (find a similar part on an old fridge and modify it to fit) and works great! Definitely recommend.

Our delivery was a little late, but the guys were very polite and did a great job getting the new appliance in and the old one out very quickly and neatly. The refurbished oven we purchased is very clean and works great for a great price. Thanks Reliable and Calvin for a great job once again.

These guys likely do a good job, but they are no different from any other contractor when it comes to timeliness. Promised completion and install of part during initial conversation. Took payment, came to house and then realized they did not have required part. Instead of calling or even letting us know while on site, they left. After a week of waiting, called and asked for update as to why job was not completed during initial visit and was told part was not in and it would be a couple of weeks. I told them that was not satisfactory given the circumstances. They basically said suck it - no apology or discount for poor service. Came back 2 weeks later, installed part with nothing as much as an I am sorry that you went a month without a properly running refrigerator.Terribly handled - Please give other companies your business. No need to go to first one available on google. Customer Service is part of the contracting business!
