I live in Santa Ana and have several Northgate markets close by theres even one in front of where I live but they are horrible! Customer service is the worst! But this Northgate market is nothing like the others. Not only do they have a wide selection of products but their customer service is the best! Everyone is always very helpful and always have a smile on their faces. Thank you for the exceptional service!

When you walk in and look around all you can say is, WOW! They have all you need for Hispanic food & drinks and more! There is also a sweet Asian lady making BOMB sushi rolls. You wont see that at Cardenas! I bought a dozen pork tamales, half-dozen chili & cheese tamales, a couple of strawberry tamales, and, of course, a small tray of yummy sushi rolls!

One of the largest Ive been in. They have the salsa bar open. Dont remember seeing the empanada or fresh taco bar areas in my local one. Staff was very friendly and they are abiding by all the current local, state & federal health guidelines.

This was fun. We are from Norway and we’ve never seen a supermarket like this. Specially the fresh food departments. Overwhelming fruit and vegetables. Never seen such range. Nice staff. Good prices. Big parking. #wheelchair friendly. Thank you for a good shopping experience.

Not exaggerating for a second, waited 35 minutes in line for a gallon of milk, when asked to speak to the store manager which was in the next aisle, completely ignored my request and pretended I didn’t exist. I know things are tough with labor shortages, but their behavior has no excuse.

Is one of the best Hispanic supermarket, for the community in Anaheim ca, and all over orange county, I highly recommend it, they have everything you need for your Halloween party and for the dia de los Muertos panaderia.

Its very well organized compared to the things I heard about this store. Wide variety of produce and meat products as well as an organized way of distributing the bakery products. Kinda crowded but good overall.

I like this Northgate.they carry a lot of my specialty items I like, and have a great variety of pre-cut fruit. My grievance is people letting their kids run around like its a play ground. A lady let her kids drive my cart in the check out and then had the nerve to tell me something 😑. Because I went to grab it. Make people watch their kids in the store please. This is why Ill go to Vons instead to avoid people who allow their kids to run a mock while shopping.

Produce, salsa, tortillas, meat counter and bakery are fabulous. Anything canned, jarred, processed is more expensive than Ralphs.

The food is soooo good! Red pozole was delicious, and their quesadillas too! The horchata with coffee was also tasty and much needed for the weather. Everyone was so nice and helpful.

Why the customers are in line and the cashier close, refuse, force they go to another line?? And to get out of this store, you have to get through the cashier counter, weird market. Omg, just get out the the cashier miss change, as the cashier i can see the weird change, how can it happen?

I wish they had one in Utah! Super Nice Mexican grocery store, high end quality service and products. El pan dulce is a bit dry and thicker but this would be heaven if everything was perfect!

Place was pretty well stocked and organized. There carniceria was amazing everything looked and smelled so fresh even the prepackaged items like meat and there mariscos looked good as well. And of course the staff was very professional and curtious too.

Wow!! This is a SUPER market. It’s Northgate on steroids! Everything is super sized. We didn’t know where to start. We arrived with empty stomachs and large appetites...bad. We wanted to eat everything in site.Before doing some shopping, we got some food to satisfy our tummies. We shared some pork pozole, a pork tamale, a Chile/cheese tamale, Chile verde chilaquiles, pupusas and some sweet Mexican bread. Our favorites were the pozole, chile/cheese tamale and the sweet bread. We also had champurrado and Mexican ponche; both good.Now that we were satisfied, we shopped for some groceries. Everything looked good and fresh. They even had a tamale cooking class going on! We stopped to take some tortas and agua frescas home!Definitely coming back here!

Just felt a little lost really didnt get to much help so I just went to Target. Everything smelled great though wish I had more time to shop.

Prices aint that low compared to other places, having only one lady selling/handling the ham, cheese dept its not helping the business, I had to wait literally 20 minutes to be helped, unacceptable, when I asked to speak with a manager, Jimmy claimed to be in charge, his excuse was they were short handed, NOT AN EXCUSE, you as a manager jump and multi task, very disappointing

This store is larger compared to other ones from the same chain.The employees are also friendly and everything looks organized.The only reason that Im not giving 5 stars is because I felt that it was crowded specially now with the pandemic restrictions.

This one is one of my favorite Northgate stores. Very clean, neat they have a bakery with fresh bread, jfresh juicees, they sell food to go. Love de chanpurrado. Pluse all of their check out are open. Dont have to wait to long to get out.🙂

Amazing. This is our second visit in as many days. Finally bought some tamales and Mexican bread. The horchata is AMAZING!

Great store! Conveniently located, fresh fruit, salad bar, hot food, TAMALES, and as if that werent enough, they have a hot wings selection from mild to oh $h1+ thats too hot. PLUS I found THE prettiest girl in the world there. Almost forgot, they have a lot of pan, Im alive because of coffee and pan.

We love this market and the people who work there. They are always very helpful and pleasant. The produce is well stocked and fresh. The bakery has the most wonderful cakes and the meat department has great cuts of meat.

Avoid buying sweet bread or pan dulce this is the second time that I have been ready to buy it, but when the person that serve you the pan dulce as soon as they open the door flies are coming from the inside of the display the worst part of it is that they know its wrong but they tried to downplay it like is okay. The first time you kind of think like is a random thing, but the second time is totally unacceptable.

This store has a nice ambiance .I like comming here but as we know other than Northgate being expensive its cool.

I usually stay away from the north gate super market because the meat department always has a very strong disgusting odor... however...I was impressed with this particular store...it was very clean and the meat department didnt have that repulsive odor...the staff are actually very cordial and attentive...my cupcakes were ready earlier than I was told...I enjoyed shopping at this super market...I hope it remains this way...

I left today with a champorrado and when I got home to drink it, it was spoiled. And when I called to alert them, they hung up before I could even talk to a representative

Best cake for office parties. Sheet cake with strawberries and custard in the middle and whipped cream frosting. Light and cool and delicious. Price is also right. One can also buy authentic Mexican food.

Consider this store as an equivalent to whole foods but more affordable and most of all dont come hungry since the food to go will be very tempting

Freshly cooked tortillas still hot in thd package and great to eat that first night with their freshly made best guacamole ive ever had.

Its not bad. There fruit and vegetables are pretty good. But they cater to Spanish people more than white.At least in certain areas. And there more expensive than some stores. I always have a hard time finding what I really like or want. There fruit are a little more green than I like. But at certain times they are really good.

My lady got a Vampiro Juice & I got a yummy chicken burrito with fresh avocado.

I enjoy shopping at this market. My girlfriend, mi novia, is from Guadalajara and its her go to market for everything. Produce is always fresh and the various sections like the panadería have great selections.

I must say Im hesitant when buying hot Mexican food at a market. But I must say the cut along with the texture of the pastor meat is amazing. These are the best pastor tacos Ive had in a while.

This grocery store is great I actually enjoy grocery shopping now! Fruits and vegetables are always fresh. They have some organic meat, vegetables and fruit options which I love. The store is nice and clean. Most of the times is pretty busy but a lot of check out lines are open which makes check out pretty fast. So besides all these great things I just mention I did have a bad experience which is why I am not giving it a 5 star review. A couple of months back I came in the store did some grocery shopping and accidentally forgot my phone at check out as soon as I got to my car I realized I had forgot so I ran back in the store and asked the cashier that had helped me if she had seen my phone right away she said “yes I gave it to the manager he is at the front of the store” she even pointed him out. I went to the the front of the store and sure enough there he was I was so happy to see him till he said he didn’t have it that she never gave him anything at this point I was so confused. By this time my husband had already sent a notification on find my iPhone and my phone was ringing at front desk right where he was standing. So he obviously he had to give it back.

2 employees here have COVID-19. Immediate relative of one of these confirmed COVID-19 workers is still allowed to work in bagging area. No hazard pay or compensation is being given, and being one of the highest grossing Northgates in the area, why would they want to close down temporarily. Please stay safe everyone!

The empanadas.

When the market first opened, the customer service was impeccable. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. Besides the extreme cleanliness of the store, the customer service was a major reason to keep coming back. This is my main grocery store and I frequented it almost everyday. However, in the last 6 to 8 months, the level of customer service has declined. Not as an overall but there are many new individuals who are not at all friendly or helpful. Ive had a cashier refuse to bag my groceries and Ive experienced rude cashiers. Ive spoken to a manager of a couple occasions but I dont feel much customer concern. This is a huge turn off and therefore, after several of these experiences I dont frequent the store as much anymore.I hope the store goes back to the level of service and friendliness it was when it first opened.

My experience was ok, and much what I thought it would be. The prices were reasonable. My cashier smiled, and I told her that I am glad Northgate is here because it gives us a choice of where to spend our money without having to drive far.I do however feel there should be more diversity. I know one can not tell the other who they should hire, but sometimes there is a need, on the customers part, to feel as if they belong in an establishment, especially if they are spending there own time and money to shop there. I did not feel a since of belonging, in fact I felt the opposite. I looked around and there were no people WORKING there that looked like me.Yet in our community, there are many different cultures, as was evident in the check out lines at the store.I also found simple things like baked bean were no where in sight. The store, at this point, has not, in my opinion, catered to the whole population. Its obvious that their demographics are very specific. However this is a new location so I am looking forward in watching the Northgate team grow in their knowledge of the needs of the community.SincerelyLisa

My favorite of their locations I have been to so far. Clean and orderly with a great hot bar. It is super busy usually though so do not expect to get in, get out.

Has so many great sections to this store. From several hot food counters, heavenly bakery area, meat counters, seafood counter, hot food bar to go, salad bar, juice bar, regular grocery isles, wonderful produce at great prices. Helpful customer sevice and even separate quick check out area. The juice bar is definitely my favorite section of the store as i love veggies and fruits especially fresh made juice while you wait.

Great new market to get your cultural foods. You can also grab a bite to eat at their various ready-made food & drink stands. Place is very organized and clean and theres always someone there available to help if you need it. Lastly, they also have food sample stand, similar to Costco to entice your taste buds.

Great selection. Typical Latin store on steroids. Thats a good thing as they have so much to choose from... Hot and cold items... Fresh salsas and guacamole. Guacamole salsa is the best in my opinion.
