Big Tony the Owner is honest, fair, and very friendly. He really cares about our cars and went above and beyond what needed to be done at no extra charge. I would highly highly recommend him and his service team for their performance and low cost on the money they saved me. He once installed a new battery for free that I brought somewhere else. Came to get my free transmission diagnostic. They got me in and got back to me right away. Thankfully it wasnt a major problem but they got it taken care of quickly and my transmission is working as smooth as the day I bought my car. Weii I have known Anthony from his santa ana shop on McFadden.and I use to work for him there also Anthony is a good honest chirstian friend .

Went in and got a transmission flush on my Malibu 2017. Everything went smooth and the car runs. However, I went back to get my suspension system and my evap system checked and they told me the wheel bearing was causing the creaking sounds as I turn left and right at low speeds. Previously, mechanics have told me the suspension on the driver side was receiving more wear but the mechanic at this location replaced the passenger side and I still hear the scraping on the driver side, which is what I originally intended to get fixed. All in all, 3 out of 5. Good customer service skills.

I came in today and they looked at my hybrid transmission and explained everything that it would entail and also told me that the mileages is so low that my concern for flushing the transmission fluid is not even necessary. Wow! I would recommend these guys to anybody. Thank you Reuben!

The Anaheim AAMCO is amazing!! Best customer service. Jeff took time to explain mechanical issues on our work truck that almost needed pushed into the shop. The truck was ready for pick up on time at an affordable price that was within our budget. It is nice to know these days there are good, honest people you can depend on in your time of need.

My s2000 had a worn clutch I brought it to AAMCO in Anaheim I couldnt believe what I saw they had my car up on the lift less than an hour after I dropped it off transmission apart and everything amazing staff so friendly and welcoming they provided me with good advice and unbelievable customer service thank you guys

I brought my car here to get checked out which this place is great for because they do a free check up, and everything looked good but my car was still shaking so they did a diagnostic which was 150$, they figured out my problem and when I came in to pick it up we discussed the problem with Adrian. During this whole process, Adrian was so helpful, very informative and sweet. At the end of it all he waived the $150 charge and we were on our way. I had a great experience with this Aamco and for now on this will be my go to place for when my car acts up. Thank you again, Adrian!

I cant say enough nice things about AAMCO. Not only did they take care of both my and my sons car oil chnage. They did a through check of my engine when my car was running slugish. They answwred all my questions. They were professional and courteous. I highly recommend their services.

Ever since Ted took over the place this place has become one of the most Reliable, dependable and really high Quality places with Great Prices. I took my my Jeep Grand Cherokee here for a transmission leak Ted was first guy I met he really takes care of his people I like to call and get details on status and he is patient and understanding and the work was quality so I took my 2000 Infiniti 30 Base here for a lower A arm install and Ted did an excellent job quick fast and the price is was within my comfort so again I am glad I came Ted has earned my Trust as Client and Appreciate his hard work and patience.

I arrived around 9:30 am on Saturday and walked into the office. Two people waited ahead of me and I waited patiently. When it was my turn, Jeff or Bill (not sure what his name was, but old guy with a very dry personality) asked how he can help and I said that my cars check engine light was on. He nodded his head and walked out the door leaving me inside...He said absolutely nothing as a reply, and I followed him out. I asked him does this mean I should wait inside or...? He rudely told me I can either wait outside in the heat or go back inside! Is it so hard to communicate these days? How about a little customer service dude! I know Im not walking into a spa, but is it too much to let the client know where they stand? Do you have time to fix my car today? Will it take half an hour, or four? Should I wait, or do you recommend leaving it? I went back inside and it took me a minute and a half to figure out that this place is going to be a nightmare to deal with. Found an Aamco in Orange and headed there. COMPLETELY different experience. The guy there was genuine and polite. Plugged the diagnostic reader and 30 seconds later told me whats wrong with the car, where I can fix it and printed out information about cat converters for me to take with. Thats all I wanted, not hand holding, just common human decency.

Im embarrassed because I went here to get my transmission fixed after a lose hose has sprayed transmission oil all over my commercial van and i had some serious transmission problems from driving my huge van like that. They said the transmission might be burnt up. A mechanic immediately checked it and added some transmission oil and told me I was good to go. No damage and NO CHARGE!!!! WOW!!!! It runs amazing once again! Thank you AAMCO!!! Ill be back when another problem occurs!

These guys are awesome I was down in Anaheim on vacation and my transmission broke down on a Tuesday and aamco picked up my car from where It was I had to be back in Oregon the following Monday but Adrian and the members from aamco where able to get me back home on time Im forever thankful their work is perfect these guys should be the first choice when it comes to transmission work !!!

I have a personal Mechanic that goes to my house he checked my Lexus is300 and thought that theirs a problem with my transmission. I also thought the same! It was very complicated for us to figure out whats the real problem. So I brought my car here then left it for a day,They checked up next day because I brought my.car before they were closing! Then right way Ted called me early morning! to say it was a good news that it wasnt my transmission! And and honestly told me its my catalytic converterr! He recommended me to a muffler shop I took my car there right after I picked my car from AAMCO and Muffler Shop replaced my catalytic converter BAM! Problem solved. I appreciate Ted so much such a very helpfull and honest person! TED for president! We need people like him in this world.

My car quit moving and was making a really nasty noise. I could only think the worst. The manager that answered the phone was easy to deal with. After they verified it was my transmission, he called Hertz for me. They gave me a special deal for aamco customers. I got a small car for $25 a day. They even came to pick me up. My car was done fast and I was able to leave my rental car at aamco when I came to pick up my car. Overall, they made something that is usually a painful ordeal a simple and efficient process.

If a can give it 0 stars i would.Our transmission went out in California on our trip. We took it to aamco and Jeff told us the transmission would need an ovehaul. We paid over 4k to get it fixed, and 9 months later our transmission started making a a rattle noise. Back at home in ID our transmission gets fixed and did not ask for car rental or anything, and again 1 week later it goes out while traveling on a highway in the middle of nowhere at night. Called places for hotel and nothing available. Tow truck charged 200 and was nice enough to find us a hotel, no ac but better then nothing. We dropped car at a local aamco and had our daughter drive 2 hrs to pick us up. Called aamco in Anaheim and talked to a supervisor not jeff and told him i needed my charges to be paid. He told me that they dont pay for expenses of towing and hotel. He would get in touch with chain of commande to see if they can pay if not im on my own, have not recieved a call. This supervisor was not customer friendly, more irritaded then any thing else, and just made the situaion more stressful. Tow truck and hotel is 275 and now im going to sue fo alot more then that.

I took my car in 2 weeks ago on Tuesday to fix an exhaust leak and repair the a/c system. I was told worst case scenario it would be ready for me on Thursday morning. Well I had to demand my car back on Thursday before they closed and low and behold neither problem was fixed. Jeff (the manager) did not charge me and was apologetic and after some discussion I agreed to bring it back in the following Tuesday at 730am when they open. Jeff told me to give him a couple hours and hed call me when it was ready.I decided to call him back about 3pm as I hadnt heard from Aamco and was told that the exhaust leaks (now its 3 leaks instead of the 1 they told me about originally) were fixed but there was a new problem with the a/c system that would cost $600 and approx. 5 and 1/2 hours of labor time. Jeff knocked $250 off the labor cost and asked me to give him a couple days. Keep in mind this is Tuesday afternoon. I called Wednesday to inquire about my car. Was told its not ready and that Id get a call. I called back Thursday afternoon approx. 2pm. Still not ready will be ready Friday morning and Jeff will give me a call. Friday afternoon I call at 1230pm. Jeff says Its ready! Come pick it up! I decided not to make a big deal on the fact that I had to call him. I drive home my car seems great and the a/c is working nice. Friday evening I decide to go to the market. Hmm no dash lights no head lights and the head light knob/bar is completely bent.So here I am back down to Aamco Saturday morning. Jeff says sorry and my Jeep will be ready by 11 as they close at 12. Tho my car seems fine and Jeff is taking care of this problem and not even attempting to try and charge me more Im giving 1 star due to the fact that Jeff seems to lie about things and cover it up once you call him out on it and as Ive never encountered a mechanic where it takes this long to fix 2 hour or 5 hour problems. collectively now theyve had my car 6 and 1/2 days for an exhaust leak and a/c repair.

My transmission blew out and left me without a car. AAMCO not only fixed it, but did it much cheaper than most AND in a timely matter so I was able to get back to work and have my car back ASAP.

Late review, forgot the dudes name he works the front counter shoutout to him, i left my car for a clutch replacement i was looking around $900 ($600 labor $300 part) so the dude called the shop where i got my clutch before and found out i still had warranty long story short they saved me over $300 that i was ready to spendP.S. labor was 100 less than a shop down the street

Hey Dawn, I just read your review regarding aamco and the infamous richard. I myself took my car to aamco yesterday to have them take a broken bolt out from within the engine. I asked them if they even have the capability to do it and they said YES! and that it would only take a few hours! I left the car at around 1pm and did not get a call back till they were already closing around 5pm. When i arrived richard was not there but instead another guy by the name of Jeff. Instead of charging me the $90 i was quoted for the job he says we couldnt get the bolt out and that a piece from within the engine actually broke off! He then hands me two little pieces of metal and say this is what broke from inside your engine. I asked how did it break and he said that it just broke off while the mechanic was barely drilling for a few seconds. Which sounded like complete bullshit. Anyway i didnt pay anything and instead barely drove off with my car and even more damage then when i left it there! Ive had them do work before on a timing belt and the work done was kinda iffy... I just wish i had money to take it to a real honda dealer to tell me if they did or did not even do that job properly let alone tell me what the extent of the damage is. So i just wanted to know what ended up happening? can you sue ? whats the next step?i read reviews on yelp and here and i feel that if more than one customer stands up together against aamco maybe we can start a class action lawsuit or something that can benefit us. please contact me thank you! gnarlybros.lykn at gmail dot com

Horrible, dishonest transmission repair experience!AAMCO, Anaheim, CA (Richard)After only 20,000 k miles after charging our extended warranty co. almost 5,000 dollars for a Saturn IOn transmission a little over a year ago, our cars transmission has went out again after AAMCOs 12 month warranty expired. after taking the vehicle to the honest, courteous and customer appreciative Action Auto in Cypress for diagnosis and assessment, they confirmed the worst. The transmission needed to be replaced. After letting Action Auto know we has AAMCO replace transmission less than 20k miles ago, they viewed our paperwork with their mouths hanging open in disbelief that Richard, manager at AAMCO Anaheim, charged almost 5k for a reconditioned transmission.Car has warranty companys coverage for a few more months, when calling warranty company, they will not cover the transmission again because two transmission jobs will be in excess of the 5500 the car is worth. We are basically in a mess because we do not have the money for another transmission, and my husband has recently been laid off of work. my daughter may have to quit school and her job because she was the primary driver of the vehicle. when I called to speak to Richard, he was not empathetic at all. he mocked my new mechanic, Action Auto, and became irate and a bit nasty and in denial as i stated to him that not one but two mechanics had stated there was something wrong with transmission, and that there was something wrong with the pricing that the warranty company was billed, especially for a reconditioned transmission with a short warranty.Firestone had asked us almost a year ago who did the transmission work, because something didnt sound or feel right. We had brought the car back or called about it several times,within AAMCOS 12 month warranty, but Richard just laughed, saying the car was just fine. We even had to bring it back when two different mechanics attempted to check or service the tranny fluid, but could not, because were afraid of stripping the bolt that had been placed on too tightly by AAMCO. We tried taking it back 3 times with the bolt issue, 15 miles driving each time. we were always tossed to the back burner with some excuse until they finally fixed it after car sat for a few days. Then Richard blamed the others (as usual) for stripping the bolt.Today when I called AAMCO to inform them that we have a huge problem, Richard became angry that my mechanics said that in no way should a reconditioned tranny should have costed that much, had a short warranty, or should have to be replaced after only 20k miles. They also gave me some good info to bring up to him about good vs bad rebuilt transmissions, questions to ask Richard, and that the word reconditioned did not coincide with the warranty company being billled such an outrageous price. Richard just called me back having the audacity to tell me he could do another transmission for me for $2,800. No apologies for the trouble we are going through whatsoever. Just another price quote.keep in mind that this5k for a faulty transmission is now burned money, the extended warranty service will not help with replacing the tranny this time as they cannot cover repairs for more than car is worth. after 20 k miles, and I have no recourse????i am now checking to see if it was even legal to have my daughter who was a minor at the time, to sign for the bill, oking the huge bill. the bill I signed was blank, ironically.

We were on vacation in anaheim and the least expected happened the transmission of my truck broke down and then I started looking for a mechanic nearby and I found Adrian Meza and his team at AAMCO transmissions and they solved the problem immediately they dont know how satisfied I am with the great work that many grasias did and continue with that great attitude and confidence that many grasses provide Adrian Meza we are back at home and his work is highly recommended
