The gals were fabulous, very helpful! I went in and Of course I hadnt a clue what I needed and where it was and they were so very helpful and without any attitude or rudeness. They showed me where everything was and helped me carry seeing I was having difficulty being I am disabled. Thank you Joanns for a job well done.

The Joann Fabrics chain has been the place I usually wind up at for fabric craft materials since I was going there with my mom as a little kid. The Amsterdam store is much smaller than the Albany store but still has an excellent selection of staple items. Staff is always helpful and interested in whatever project Im working on. I didnt find what I was looking for today. But chances are I will next time I go looking.

This store has a wide variety of crafting and quilting as well as multi function accessories! If you enjoy crafting be sure to check it out! There is plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall. The only downfall is the prices can be a little expensive however they usually have sales every week and if you download the app and subscribe to coupons via text messages it will literally cut your total cost in half; I do this every time I go because you can you both sets of coupons!

Looking for a cute kitty fabric to finish a window seat for my cats and was able to find the perfect fabric. Plus it was 40% off and had an ibotta rebate so I made out like a bandit! The clerk was also super helpful and friendly. Definitely will be going back there for all my fabric needs and maybe even learning some new crafting skills they have everything!

The store in Albany far surpasses all others in the general capital district. If youre looking for designer fabrics or any craft supplies this is the place to go. I was making outdoor furniture cushions using a fabric pattern from 20 yrs ago. Amazingly enough, they had the fabric and everything else needed.

I do enjoy going to Jo-Ann pretty much any time Im near one. I would normally give any Jo-Ann 5 stars as they always have something that you would want if youre into fabric, quiliting, and crafting.The reason this one gets a 4 star rating is its size.The next closest Jo-Ann store to this one are in Albany and New Hartford. Both are probably twice the size of this one and therefore have a better selection of pretty much everything.But the staff here is always friendly and helpful when you need them. If you need fabric and are in Amsterdam, this is the place to go.

Good selection I went looking for suede to reupholster my car headliner but I didnt find alcantara like I was looking for but they did all sorts of cool fabrics
