Excellent quick service. They charged me a fakr price for synthetic Oil, probably $40 cheaper than other oil change locations. I would definitely recommend.

I visited to get my front tires replaced. They were quick, efficient, had the tires I needed in stock. They werent high pressure at all and the price was reasonable.

A great experience with this auto service!As I was putting air in my tires this morning, I noticed a rusted nail stuck in my tire treads, the source of my slow leak in tire pressure. I first went to Walmart, waited for 20 minutes before an associate finally arrived, and then informed me that it would be over a 2-hour wait to get a simple tire patch.I left and went to Monro Auto Service, and WITHIN A MINUTE of my arrival, the mechanic, Josh, came right up, asked how he could help. I explained what I needed, he took me in right away, and within 15 minutes, Josh patched my tire. He was very courteous and helpful. I highly recommend them!

I have everything GOOD to say about them. Came in and was out in less than 30 mins for an oil change. Come to find out they are open 7 days! That’s a blessing in disguise for this lady who works the graveyard shift! Thanks guys!

I had a slow leak in my tire, it was close to closing time, I called and spoke to Joshua and let him know what I had, he said bring it right in and theyll take a look. I got there and they brought my vehicle right in found the problem and fixed it in 10 minutes. Great service will definitely go back with my automotive needs.

The guys tried to convince me to buy new tires without reason . They checked the tires and they made up the numbers.i returned back another coworker on Sunday checked the pressure on every tire and the numbers were totally different . I did change the oil there. But honestly I dont trust them.My car was hit from the back and I am not sure if they did it or someone else

Possibly the most inept garage I have ever been to. I brought my car in to have an upper ball joint replaced. Upon delivering them my car I explained that they may have difficulty finding the right press/adapter for the ball joint and if they cannot find it replace the a arm. I let 2 days go by and contact the garage they tell me that they cant find a press. I tell them just change the a arm. I am told that they will have the a a arm changed by tomorrow. I contact them the next day and am told they are still waiting on the press. I take my car back and I am currently changing my own a arm. Monro you wasted 3 days of my time.

Not impressed with the service at Monro anymore. It’s a shame that James isn’t there any more. James was definitely knowledgeable and truthful. Further more it’s a shame that Monro didn’t take care of James better as an employee, Great employees are hard to come by. So when one comes along, a company might want to go above and beyond to keep him. Josh is another great a trustworthy mechanic. He is always helpful and truthful about whatever car problems I have. He always tries to find the best price for the job, because a lot of garages rip you off. Him being assistant manager of Monro and knowing all his customers and the way the shop is ran, I hope Monro smartens Up and makes him the new manager. My muffler began dragging on the pavement while I was driving a week ago Saturday afternoon. I went to Monroe Auto Service in Amsterdam, NY. Barry Hurn, mgr was working. Barry gave me a estimate, which was very reasonable. Barry had the Monroe technicians start working on my car immediately. They finished complete repairs in under an hour & the cost was exactly what Barry had quoted me. Barry was very kind & reassuring. He told me of the other services available at Monroe. I cant speak highly enough about Barrys honesty & kindness! Its because of Barrys service I will definitely be going back to Monroe for other auto needs.

I went to Monro to have my tire leak fixed. Cody worked on it for me & let me know that the bead seal on my tire was never sealed, and the rest probably was not as well so it was filled with crud. It was nice of him to tell me that! I will never go back to Walmart to buy or have my tires mounted. Unbelievable!! You pay a lot of money for tires & the labor. Being a mother of 3 with one on the way I don’t have money to throw away. So Cody gets a 5 star ⭐️ from me!

Worst garage in the area. Assistant manager was sitting at counter talking about reviews he makes to bump up their rating on here. Was there last week when he wrote the Dustin kids review about how great he is. I was there at 645 getting flat repair with 1 other younger girl in lobby. Assistant tried selling both of us services for cash only and tried offering me a used tire from out back for $40 because apparently I had a nail in top tread of tire which wasn’t fixable. Told him to plug it anyways which he did and tire is still perfectly fine.

Came here to buy studded snow tires and received excellent customer service. The man in charge was very professional, welcoming and helpful10/10 would recommend and will be giving them my service in the future. Great job gentlemen.

I was just at Monro this past week to have my car serviced and was beyond impressed with the customer service that I received. Barry Hurn, the Manager, was professional, courteous and was attentive to the service of my car. I observed an entire staff who were focused on their jobs and even more impressive was the management of the staff by Barry. He appeared to be working with the staff by inspecting the jobs being performed on the cars that were being serviced that day. Due to the above, I am a satisfied customer and would not hesitate to recommend Monro in Amsterdam to others who are in need of having their car serviced and/or repaired.

Very unhappy. I bought 8 tires with them over the summer and was willing to pay more because of convenience using one drive credit and because I was told there was a $200 rebate on the more expensive set of tires. I was assured of this rebate on 3 different occasions even though rebate was denied by Goodyear. Main office asked me to fax my information so they could look into it but fax number doesn’t work and they are not returning my call. I’m aggravated and wasting a lot of time trying to get this settled. Never trust promises for large rebates.

Three times this year they brought in my car for work and added stuff to be done inflating the price greatly beyond what they quoted me. This last time, I had an appointment and dropped off my car. Twenty hours later, they haven’t worked on it yet! Seriously?!?! The newest manager is destroying the place. Never had an issue until this man came along. I am extremely unhappy and unsatisfied.

I laugh that the last reviewer claims people at this location are honest. I got an oil change today that was to come with a tire rotation. Upon inspection of my vehicle I went back in to complain about my tires not being rotated. The manager was having a conversation with an older gentleman at the counter about being straightforward and honest with people stating honesty is the best policy. I informed him that my tires had not been rotated and he assured me that they had been. He claimed he watched them do it with his own eyes. He didnt have much to say when I informed him I marked my front drivers side tire so I could be sure they provided the service. So much for honesty being the best policy. Hilarious that he was bad mouthing previous managers of the place when he was asked by another customer why there has been so many manager changes. Its probably because they werent honest with customers.

Great experience in Amsterdam, NY. Was driving from Maine to Buffalo, NY and broke down on I90 just outside if Amsterdam. Towing service brought me here and the guys were great! When I showed up, it was getting near closing time and they didnt have the part needed. Said it would be in first thing in the morning and they had me on my way by 11am next day. Even gave me a ride to and from hotel.

Went in there on a Monday morning. Shop manager got me in real quick and had one of his mechanics change out my blown low beam light very quickly. At least it seemed like that, cause he was very friendly and chatted with me the whole time. Even called around to make sure it was the right one. Great job!

Was driving to breakfast with my fiancée when I heard a piece of metal fall off from underneath our car. We pulled into Monroe Muffler and explained the situation to the manager. He pulled our car into the shop and assured us that there was nothing seriously wrong with our car. He did not try and up-sell anything and explained exactly what he thought had happened. In the end he did not even charge us for the visit. He not only has my business for now on but also my work vehicle as well.

Untrustworthy staff. Went in Sunday for a tire leak and get told it’s not repairable that I would need a new set of tires being I have an all wheel drive vehicle. Didn’t have enough money for a new set and get offered a used set of tires for $120 from a kid named jesse. Seemed like a better deal then what I was quoted at close to $600, only to have a blowout on the highway last night on my way home. Tow truck driver tells me there’s wires coming from the inside of the tire that’s split open, and the other front tire isn’t far behind it. Back tires I’m told are decent but still now I need to buy a full set of tires being I have all wheel drive. Used to love going to monro but wouldn’t recommend it anymore based on this experience.

Giving credit where credit is due. I wandered into Monro not knowing if or how they could help me...I had reason to believe a mouse (now in a better place) had left its physical body behind...in my car. My car brand dealer said it would be something I would have to leave my car for and a loaner car not available for 2 weeks. Two weeks of breathing mouse death...um...no! James at Monro said happens all the time, well pull your air filter and check it, they like those. In less than 5 mins the filter/nest and remains were out of my car. I felt like I won the lottery. Heroes do exist and I found some today at Monro Muffler/Brake in Amsterdam. A big shout out to the manager, James, and his staff. Your knowledge and wonderful customer service were much appreciated!

I stopped by to see if I could get an estimate on getting a slow leak in my tire fixed. These guys stopped what they were doing and had my car up on the lift in less than 5 minutes. The leak was found and fixed in about 10 minutes, and then i was told, “No charge!” Thank you Monro! I will be back in the future!

Very friendly and courteous on the phone and accommodating. I had an appointment at 12:00 for an oil change and showed up early at 11:30. They took care of me right away and even gave us a coupon.

Had some services done on a previous vehicle, was looking for new rotors on all 4 wheels on my Toyota Camry, estimate was high and NO warranty unless I purchased pads as well...

I was assured that the rebate I was given from the manager was to receive $200. It seemed like a great deal so I had myself and my girlfriend get new tires. I was told the rebate flyer had expired but Goodyear was still honoring them. They just hadnt got the new ones in. After getting 8 tires and sending in the rebates, Goodyear declined the rebate because the service happened after the rebate date (the expired rebate). I went back to the manager and he assured me they have been honored in the past and take it up with Goodyear - which I did. They said they will give us an updated rebate. The issue is the new rebate only rebates $75. We only bought the tires from them because of the $200 rebate. I called the Card company (Goodyear issues a debit card) They cant help me. The Goodyear rep said the rebate form we submitted has expired and the new promotion was only for $75. The rep said I have to go back to the Goodyear dealer (Monroe) and get the money from them. This has been false advertising on Monroes Managers part. Additionally, the original rebate for $200 was only for those who have a Goodyear account - so the rebate would only be $100. That was another piece of information left out. This manager is a shyster and should be removed from that store. Unfortunately for Monroe, Im a Business Consultant who helps businesses grow and shield them from reviews like this through Reputation Management, SEO, Google Reviews, and Facebook Ads. I can work in reverse also, especially when Ive been taken for a ride by a business. I will be leaving my review in every directory they are listed. I will also be posting this on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Alignable, Pinterest, and Instagram. I have a huge following on all these networks. I dont leave reviews in general, but nobody takes advantage of me. Videos and backlinks from negative articles to follow.

Car overheated on a Sunday 100 miles from home. AAA flat bed to Amsterdam Monroe. Stranded no help from employee at all. Tow truck driver helped! 3 days at shop! No call at all and no estimate! Called and treated horribly! Finally fixed. $450.00 for a radiator overflow hose! Really??? Guess who got a royal hosing ? ME!!! Btw single woman... They suck!

Until I found James at Monro Muffler I had little if any trust in the mechanical world. He has been a lifesaver in so many ways with atmy vehicle. Since I depend upon my vehicle for both of my jobs, to be without it is a serious financial hardship. He and his crew have repaired my vehicle on more than one occasion when I honestly thought it wouldnt happen that day. Getting parts; staying late and going far above and beyond any other shop ever has.I am so glad to be able to depend on James, Taryn and Josh for all my mechanical needs. Very fast service and very friendly

I was due for an inspection and knew I would need new tires, so I schedule and appointment for an oil change, inspection and tires. The man I initially spoke to tried telling me the tires would be around $100 each and when I demanded a firm price, he told me $101 each. Great. When I got to the shop I had the man checking me in tell me the price of my tires since the first man tried being sketchy - the man checking me in told me he wasnt sure how much my tires were? Really? He told me they had ordered them from a different shop and he didnt know what they got in - he then said he figured it out and they would be $119 each. I told him that was unacceptable and he told me he could match the $101 price I was told on the phone. After all that frustration, they tried charging me and extra $94 for an alignment I never asked for.. When I refused to pay for it, he said oh, alright, I can take that off your bill. Huh?? These are the most dishonest men Ive ever come across. If you are a female trying to have honest work done on your car, I would HIGHLY suggest you go somewhere else. Ive never had a group of people so blatantly try to take advantage of a customer.

This is the only place I would take my car to be looked at an worked on in Amsterdam. When you walk in your greeted right away. My check engine light was on An it took them just a few minute to Diagnose the problem was a 02 sensor an get me a quote. All in all after I had them fix the problem an they got me right back on the road. I. Highly recommend you go here if your having car troubles.

I recently had to replace my muffler system at this store. It was a three day event. Not Good. Day one, we don’t have the part please come back tomorrow. We will order all the parts. Day two. It was to be an hour job even with having 4 new tires put on. It took a little over 2 hours. They said even though the parts were ordered not all came so they had to find pieces to finish the job in store. Day three the muffler system was making a rattling noise. I brought it back they said the had to trim a clamp that was rattling against the frame of the car. Guess what it still rattles. I won’t go back there again. EVERI still go to Monroe but definitely not Amsterdam. I don’t think they know what they are doing.

Wow. What a difference between what this shop WAS and what it IS NOW.. If you are reading negative reviews, it is from the old shop manager. The new guy is above-and-beyond. Helped find me discounts, helped straighten out my headlight at no extra charge. Took their time, did things right. Very pleased with the service here. It is hard to leave a car place happy, especially bc when something goes wrong, its usually not cheap.. but these guys did great, and made the whole process transparent and fair. I will definitely be going back.

Me and my wife go here a lot and Jesse is the best I came in one time and talked to him and was describing a noise to him that my car was making and I took him for a ride and with in seconds he knew exactly what the noise was and made my day. I took my car there for an inspection. They failed it for brakes and said I needed all new pads and rotors for $350... This made me suspicious so I took it to Mavis and they said the brakes were in good shape and it passed inspection. Watch out they are dishonest!!

Terrible, came in with a leaking tire, they didnt have my size in stock so they had to order them. They proceded to plug my tire but my car fell off the lift.. Two days later they called me and told me they couldnt get my tires but i feel its because i asked them to price match Wal-Marts price, which IS their policy... meanwhile i ordered tires online and when i i brought them back to Monroe to install they denied me because i didnt buy the tires from them..My opinion, Garages are everywhere i would avoid this one.

The worst repair shop ever they scratch and dented my truck doorr scratched my fender got brake fluid on everything under my hood and as for my interior carpet it will never clean up cracked my air box 4 days later they still did not finish the work I took my truck out of there and did the work myself they should be shut down it is criminal
