Stopped in for the first time in a few years, and the store has taken a turn for the worse. The atmosphere was antagonistic, and the condition of the store as a whole seemed unsanitary.

Few stores that have actual homemade food in them. Down to earth place. The owner has a great attitude. Just wish they were more like him and stores like this! Real people, real food, and service.

I was actually surprised to find this place through a third party delivery app. I was not looking for too much to eat. I had ordered their chicken tenders and fries. I just wanted something quick and simple. It really hit the spot! The food was hot and fresh. I look forward to trying Homestead Grocery & Deli again in the future to try something else!

Ive been eating lunch here regularly for the past month or so. Up until about a week ago the only issue I had was that their sandwiches were dry and their chowder was plain. However, while eating lunch one day the owner had asked me about a political sign I had behind my seat, which I had picked up after it had been thrown into the forest on the way there. I explained the situation to the owner and he asked that I take it down. Of course, this is a reasonable request as he owns the business and the sign was still recognizable behind my seat. He made a comment about a local propoganda site calling the candidate a socialist. I covered it with my bag.The next time I came to the store and purchased an Arizona, I got the same dialog. Thatll be 99 cents, but this time the owner had added and the fee. Ive been eating here for a month and Ive stopped by for years, Ive never had this fee added to my purchase before and I can only assume that its a fee for his assumed political disagreement.I would not reccomend eating here, especially if you like well made sandwiches, or a respectable business ethic. The fee raised a .99 cent product to a 1.49 purchase, a 50 percent charge

The people in this store are very friendly the food is always good. I just needed eggs and milk and they brought it right out to the car for me. No having to go into a store making me susceptible to the Corona.

This is my local store that I grab everything I need on short notice. They have basically a little bit of everything from food to a solid variety of household items. The food and subs are great, and now they put their Milk price to $2.49. Now I have no reason to go to the big store, walk all the way to the back to buy a milk.

The Homestead in Amherst, NH is a wonderful and cozy store. Though small they have the best locally made french fries and chicken tenders. They offer a wide variety at their deli, you can get anything from a simple chicken salad sandwhich to their Homestead Sub. This store is in an perfect location allowing students to walk during lunch or afterschool. It really gives you a little taste of what a little town like Amherst is really about. The owners are very friendly and treat every customer like family. I love it here!
