Went to donate items and their staff was rude and would not take furniture because it had a scratch on the back of a piece of furniture. They proceeded to explain what bin it needed to be placed in with a nasty tone of voice and did not lift a finger to help. My Mom is elderly and they really upset her. There was no “Goodwill” to be found at that location.
Stopped in to kill an hour shopping. Spent an hour looking for blue tag (because thats what was on the front door) sale tags. ... only to be told that i wasnt looking for todays tags. So i wasted an hour and got nothing. Thanks for nothing.
Was always one of my favorite places to shop....but SO disappointed today. Really sparse merchandise. Many womens clothing items priced MORE than new in stores. Not sure what has happened but I wont be rushing back anytime soon. Not worth the drive.
Used to be a great Goodwill until about 3 months ago when their prices got absurd. Used video games priced higher than theyre worth brand new. Paintings priced at $200+ (who is paying that for a painting at the thrift? NOBODY) Whoever prices at this store now has lost their mind. Youre a thrift store not a retail store.. you sell used items. The whole thrill of going to a thrift store is finding things for a fraction of what they cost.. but you can tell theyre looking up every item before pricing now so you dont find as many good deals, and some youll even pay more. Used to spend a hundred+ a week here but since they got greedy I rarely go. And when I do its just a waste of time.
Great spot for a little bit of everything.Gently used and priced accordingly.Color Sale each day so save more and Senior discount also. But you gotta buy it when you see it bcuz it will surely be gone the next time!Be sure to make your drop offs too!
Great always find deals, Furniture Friday is amazing $1 for any furniture any color, dresser, table and 6 chairs, beds, end table, and much more. Only until October 1st.
Since the covid Ive put on some weight, not much to spend. @this goodwill, I was able to find what I like, my style & my size. This was actually worth the trip! Sincerely
Didnt find anything most shelves were empty 😬
I live in Connecticut, stopped at this Goodwill and prices for way too high, they had more new stuff then they had you stuff, and the new stuff you can get at other stores brand new for cheaper prices, this Goodwill should be ashamed of themselves
Their signs for drop off need to be clearer maybe add a red do not enter sign on the wrong side of the drop off area aside from that all the people who work there are friendly and they are always willing to help me
The crew there took my donations & were very helpful.
An indoor yard sale... Gets smaller every time I stop by and it doesnt help that they dont take donations often.
Always clean and well staffed. Todays find was a $5 cast iron pan in rough shape but easily restored. Theres usually some hidden treasure tucked away making it well worth the visit.
A very knowledgeable cashier and very good people person
Hard to maintain a 6 foot distance from other shoppers. This store was crowded and very cluttered, with narrow isles. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Drop off assistance is a bit grouchy today be aware..
Always find me some cheap jeans.
This Goodwill location is very clean and organized. I once found a knight’s armor here, and I’ve been wearing it ever since. That was 6 years ago. Super hard to sleep in.
Nice clean good clothing nice employees?
I drop off alot of my good things no longer needed. Ive also gotten some exceptional suits there for 1/100th what they would cost, some are like new. Highly recommended.. give and you will receive.
I tend to have really good luck at this store and the staff are friendly! Im a teacher and bought tons of book here on their half-off-color weeks for my students. Great selection and well organized!
Great store. Especially like and buy from the books section
It was normal for a goodwill. I felt some prices were high for the items while others seemed decent. Staff was friendly
Opens at 10am. Long line around building. You lift everything and place in bins. Attendent wasnt sure there were tax forms avail
What a great place! Its like an indoor flea market! So many treasures. Ive purchased many really nice shirts and books here. The inventory is always changing. And its a good feeling to know how youre helping others. The staff is so courteous and helpful. Its a great place to explore and find wonderful treasures!
Well kept and well managed store, but the selection was a little underwhelming compared to other thrift stores Ive been to. Unlikely to visit again.
Very nice place if you need any thing.
I can’t see myself going back - I sat in a donation line that didn’t even move an inch for five minutes before I gave up, their prices were steep and selection was sparse.
Great staff, management and employee. My favorite Goodwill in southern New Hampshire.
Ok
My 7 year old just loves to save her money to go here. She also loves to donate her old stuff.I love the clothing department. All color/size coordinated. Clean store. U can find some random stuff u wouldnt even know that you needed☺
Been here many times, always has a good variety of donations. The staff is very friendly.
Pretty good selection of used books
Nothing on the shelves!
Social distancing and mask required. Store was quiet but donation line was packed!
Like new on alot of items and only a fraction of what they would be at the brand name outlet. Love this place! 😇
This the worst place I will never drop off stuff here again!!!!
Ive only donated here but the people at the donation entrance are always willing to help you lug things out of your car, theyll bring a cart out to help, and will write you a receipt upon request.
Excellent variety of items. Very clean and well organized. I am surprised at each visit ! Highly recommend to anyone looking for everyday items or the unusual thrift store find.
This place is a great place to find good quality items that are used, but in good condition. I bought brand new pair of Sketchers sneakers for $10 that would have cost me $50 new. There is so many choices for everyone on a tight budget.
I love shopping at Goodwill. With Amherst and Hollis nearby, they often have valuable and name brand items there. My favorite things to buy there are dresses, kids clothing, and books.
A new Goodwill is always nice and clean. Found some good books. I wish that Goodwill would stop raising their prices for used stuff.
Always Adventure shopping. In addition to the used Goods that you might expect to find in a thrift store, there are plenty of new items as well. One of the very few places that will take computer monitors without charging you as well as other recyclables
A great place to find great bargains! Such fun looking for unique items!
The store set up could be better. Just seems like random stuff placed throughout the store and the prices are higher than savers. Ive visited here twice now but I cannot bring myself to buy anything.
Great and cheap. Much organized than other franchises with great employees.
The Goodwill in store in Amherst is an upscale Goodwill store when compared to othe stores of the same nature. There are some great bargains to be had for the savy buyers. I recently got a very large file cabinet that new would cost $650.00 and I was able to get it for only $45.00 and it looked like it was new. This is a great place to stop into and take a fast look around. You never know what kind of deal you can get.
Easy to donate goods.
Good dropoff center for donated items. Assistant on duty the day we visited was rather abrupt and unfriendly. Hopefully, this was just an anomaly in their otherwise worthwhile service.
After being laid off and finally finding a job with no benefits Ive been going into Goodwill doing Christmas shopping saw very friendly staff member who encouraged me to apply everybodys always been very polite until I met the management at this location a little too judgemental and refusing to give somebody the benefit of the doubt I did apply for a full-time position and was told it was too fast pace Ive worked 97 hours a week Id like to see them know fast pace right now I work 7 days a week as many hours as I can and I ended up seeing one of the managers shopping and noticed they didnt hire anybody for the position and I told him I hope he has a merry Christmas in other words Im amazed that during the holidays Ive met such Scrooges will still shop there but I would never work there or suggest anybody try and work at this location
Whichever woman was working the donation drop off Saturday 11/9 around 11:30 am is extremely rude. All we were trying to do was drop off donations and she was horrible. Makes me not want to return here. I’ll find another place for donations.
Female employee at the 2nd register grabbed a fan from my husband today after he offered it to the woman who had the ticket for it and was literally handing it to her. Incredibly rude interaction and completely uncalled for from an employee.
Stopped in for a quick look and found a deal
I enjoy shoping here, you just never know what youll find.
I really enjoy shopping at this Goodwill. Its clean, organized, and the staff are friendly. Sometimes, the prices may be a bit high, but when theyre having DollarDays, its FANTASTIC!!!
You never know what you will find!
The store is clean, has a bunch of different items to choose from, prices are great and the staff is friendly.
.Place is clean and orderly. Staff is great
I wear size 0 pants as you can imagine i cant find that size anywhere but the malls and costs me $40-$60 dollars a pair here i can find named brand jeans barley used some with original tags still on them for $6.99 dollars saves me so much money !
Was able to score a couch and chair for 28 bucks!
Designer duds lightly worn at affordable prices; in addition you are giving back to the community/recycling. Also furniture that you can refurbish, its a diy kind of persons Mecca. Its a win-win! Treasure hunting for humanity! I highly suggest paying for the Goodwill Discount Card, it pays for itself after just a few purchases. Happy thrifting!
I do not like that corporations such as this, where the CEOs make millions, and pay their employees less than a livable wage. That they use legal policies, is no excuse. There are hundreds of Community Thrift Shops that operate to service their communities that deserve your support. Yet theyre constantly overshadowed by multinational corporations such as Goodwill.
People are really friendly and helpful. Have found a bunch of great deals on furniture, they get a good amount of items in excellent condition.
Always turning over stock - great place to pick up some unique furniture and affordable clothing for the whole family.
Great place to donate all your still good items.
The funny thing is I found second-hand clothes to have a better quality the new clothes nowadays.
I buy all my clothes at goodwill. Get compliments at work all the timeIwatch for good labels and wearSometimes I get never worn classics donated by upscale storesI am lucky that I live near a great storeSome I find are truly second hand stores and not worth the effort. UPDATE. Amherst store has rearranged how they present clothing. Now lumped together by size and, not always correctly so. very hard to find items now. Since they changed the layout my husband and I havent bought anything as it is too labor intensive if we just want a shirt or a sweater. Hope they go back to sorting by type not just size.
Always. Happy to visit
Board games
Store was clean and everything was easy to find
Love the goodwill have gotten some great items like a corner hutch.
We visit here weekly, if not more often. Pricing seems to be getting a bit higher but I have found some great things here, including - a genuine Coach leather purse, a mid-century modern dresser, Noro yarn, a flatscreen tv, and now various candelabras to help decorate a Harry Potter themed party. About 90% of my wardrobe has been found here, too. And when something isnt needed anymore I feel good about donating it.
No bad at all. You can find some good stuff.
Love goodwill... Always find a bargain!
Love Goodwill! Designer brands (sometimes) for an unbeatable price!
Nice large store. clothes need to be looked at more before putting on racks do people to purchase.
A decent store. Very wide selection of books in great condition.
Good place to drop stuff off and buy for cheap
Great deals!!
As someone who works for the store itself, I find the store to have very good management and other staff along with myself are more then happy to help make anyones shopping spree spectacular.
Long line very slow with covid protocol.
It is great place to donate used items ..
Pretty typical thrift store.
Decent prices on some stuff, but some of the stuff is so worn out that they should just be thrown out. Clothes get so mixed up on the racks that it is random if the sizes are in the right spot.
I love this Goodwill. I always find something.
Excellent place if you are looking for great deals
Fun place to find deals. Big selection and friendly people..
If you have time to really look you can find some good deals
Good store good prices nice stuff
I have been to better goodwills this one doesnt really have that great of a selection. Sometimes you might find a deal though.
Bring your own bag
Not as organized or knowledgeable staff but they all act very nice.
Decent chain Thrift Shop. Sometimes you find something you like and for 5 or so dollars, why not.
I really love this place, we can find everything for a cheap price!!!! I recommend!!!
Decent selection, were always finding great stuff like glassware and books in here...we never leave empty handed
A nice mix. I often can find great things at good prices
Love this place Sunday is the best day to here
Clean, good size, great variety. Friendly helpful staff
