We were staying in Ames for a few nights on the way to Nebraska for a wedding and I had forgotten to bring my nightly medications with me. I realized this at 9:15pm and called Walgreens in a panic. Pharmacist got the medication approved with my insurance within seconds on the phone.I drove over and they were waiting for me at the register. Pharmacist was incredibly polite and I was so appreciative of her help!

Went with my mom to pick up laundry items for our local womens shelter. Walgreens always has great deals and the shelter was running low on supplies. Very disappointed in the cashier that assisted us. She complained that other people needed the products and we were grabbing enough for 10 families. Just went on and on making us feel bad for shopping there in the first place. I understand stores have limits but we never grabbed more than 4 of a specific brand. They were fully stocked never cleared a shelf. Just sucks shouldnt feel guilty for shopping or helping people in need.

I needed to get a rapid covid test before tomorrow so I called to see if I could get a same day appointment. The pharmacy staff were able to accommodate me and get me a test within the hour. I am so relieved and really appreciated their flexibility during these times.

Im on the fence about this place. Some of the staff are nice, one lady used to work with my mom and is like, one of the coolest people so cute and nice, but one older lady was very friendly to the person in front of me, then was cold and distant with me, then all smiles again with the person behind me. It really hurt my feelings and I feel people like that are why Im so scared of people and have social anxiety. I was nothing short of sweet and charming to her so it was inexcusable. She should take a good look at herself she looked very frumpy. The prices here. Are. sky-high. You will pay a minimum of ten or eleven dollars for a mascara that would be seven or nine at Wal Mart. I dont like that you have to have a membership for the sale items. I can use my moms but its still bogus. When you are out browsing most of the stockers wont take the time to ask if help is needed. The perfume here is so high again Wal Mart just dont go to the hole across from this store, but thats another story. You could almost go to the mall or online better yet to find most of this stuff at a fraction of the price. Save your pennies and go to a cheaper store. I just went in here a lot because my mom used to work up here but now that she doesnt because the store she worked for sucksI probably wont that much.

Great place, helped me through issues, took the time to understand when I was looking for something, I couldnt quite put it into words. they always help if I ask them, when I come in the store. always polite and courteous.

Waiting on phone for 10 minutes for someone to see if have canned black olives! Never did get someone to give an answer.Vety poor customer service

Place was awful. We went in to scan pictures and the pictures came out with a big tear in them. Gosh I went to exchange a hair product because it was empty and she thought I stole it. Just very rude. Her name was barb and she shouldn’t work with people because she is not good at it.

This Walgreens is great. Its nice and close to my house and has a nice big drink selection. The pharmacy is pretty quick, though I think the pharmacist is probably getting pretty close to retirement.

For the sake of your sanity, NEVER go to this locations Walgreens pharmacy. I have never had such poor, unethical, incompetent service in my life.

Super Walgreens, excellent stock & staff was exceptionally friendly.

Clean little neighborhood Walgreens. Havent used their pharmacy but the convenience store is clean and more than adequately stocked.

The workers are generally friendly, its usually pretty quiet and the photos department does a fantastic and quick job.

With a Walmart one block away, I don’t see much of a reason to shop here. The prices aren’t great.

Aweful,I went there around a dozen of times this semester. The managers are friendly and helpful when they are around (rarely there). Im sure they have more important things to do or I come at bad times.The staff are bad, they try to do the least of helping to get rid of you. Or they run away from you. I keep having dirty looks. I am not a terrorist and I dont smell.the make-up section lady is somewhat helpfull

The pharmacists are rude, terribly disorganized, only have generic medication, and are very condescending. They are very hard to work with and make the situation very uncomfortable.I would recommend this pharmacy to anyone.

I have never experienced such trouble as I have with this pharmacy. I recently moved from Des Moines and thought going to Walgreens would be an easy transition but they are terrible. I have had three prescriptions called in the first time they didnt order my prescription because they didnt have my insurance information on file- which turns out they actually did. Then when they ordered it they werent able to get the 2nd prescription but didnt think to call me and tell me, they waited until I showed up. For the third prescription, which was just called in yesterday, it turns out yet again it wasnt ordered and they have no idea why- it would have been nice for them to call me to tell me this but of course I didnt find out until I called them to see if it was ready to be picked up. They have terrible customer service and every rep I have talked to has acted like they were annoyed to even be bothered to do their job. Going forward its obvious I should be having my prescriptions sent elsewhere.... wishing there was a CVS in town!
