Really nice and convenient place for someone like me who lives in the adjacent apartments. I really love their baked goods, but I think the sandwiches and wraps are somewhat bland.

I love supporting small businesses but make sure you have time to wait for your coffee. Took 15 minutes to get a drink. Great place to study or chat if youre not in a rush.

Wonderfully decorated cafe with lots of seating. The free wifi and seating options are a big plus!The cafe had many coffee options and the staff were patient and super attentive to us. Our coffees came with some really unique stickers on them. I was a little disappointed with my pumpkin pancake latte, because I could not taste any pumpkin.My chai latte also tasted more like dirty chai, which is great, but I would have preferred more sweet chai flavorThat aside, Cafe Milo is a cool cafe and it is definitely worth a visit!

This is my favorite coffee shop in Ames. It’s a great place to work on homework and sip some coffee. Service can be a tad slow sometimes, but it’s worth the wait.

Ive tried all the Ames coffee shops and I used to really like Cafe Milo. They keep hiring new college kids and keep training them which causes it to be slow I understand but waiting over 10 minutes for coffee is slow for me. I had numerous bad experiences here recently just with the service and now the coffee quality is going down and didn’t even get my drink hot as that is the first rule in coffee for me. Most coffee places are dog friendly/drive thru windows also this one is not

Coffee was good, I got the honey lavender latte. The breakfast bowl was not very good, tasted like a frozen microwaved meal. It is a small place so I hate to give them a negative review, but I would just not serve this breakfast bowl if it is going to be so bland and uninteresting. Would definitely go back for the coffee, but not anything else.

I love this place, and take my mom here when she visits, they normally are really good with covid stuff ... I had to awkwardly ask the girl working to put a mask on while making my drink :/ I don’t really mind if they are doing other stuff I guess but at least while handling food. They guy making the wrap in the back had one on at least. I feel really bad.

Very good food. My red bull infusion was very good. Only thing was they didnt notify me my burrito was done, so it was a little cold when I got it. All around great little place.

WIFI is not working at all. I have tried to contact to Wifi from my laptop but there was not any chance to contact at all.

If there were were 6 stars I would give it. it has a nice local homemade feel. The baked goods were clearly fresh and delicious and made from scratch and they know their way around the coffee machines. Anything extra you ask for they are so nice with helping!! Highly recommended!!

Took a long time even though it wasnt busy. Plus latte was burnt.

Really enjoyed the aspect of how big this location felt and the many seating options! Thank you for that. The food was perfect for a nice lunch before heading to a wedding later that evening. I loved the drinks too. What a great spot to stop!

Amazing Coffee and Food!

A great place to relax and have a good drink. They have a high quality chai latte that I usually get when I come here.The staff is friendly, the environment is cozy, and having a lot of windows gives the place a lot of natural lighting which is big for me.Went here with a couple friends while things were beginning to open up with covid, but the staff made sure we had an adequate table and they conscious of other customers there.They have a lot of outlets so theyre totally happy to serve you if you need a quiet place to study or read for a couple hours!

Food and atmosphere were pretty good. Staff wasnt very friendly with the mask on I couldnt hear her pretty well, and she wouldnt accommodate to speaking louder.

A nice little cafe with a variety of drink and food options. The menu changes with the seasons, and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about their coffee/tea. The interior is very cozy and amenable to conversation, but there are also some nice study niches with power outlets.

Spinach salad was delicious. The chocolate chip cookie was soft. Very good! Their menu is pretty small, but what Ive had has been worth having. The best part is the setting. Very nice place to relax and get some work done.

Ate lunch here today, I had the grilled cheese and it was so yummy. They even went out of there way to make us fresh cinnamon rolls and let me tell you it was one of the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. If you havent tried this cafe you need to. They are super friendly and the food is wonderful. 😊

We had a cinnamon soy latte, an iced English breakfast tea, the smoked turkey club and the buffalo chicken wrap. All were very good and fresh.

It has lamps at the desks and more than enough outlets to connect laptops/phones etc. A great place to study. I mainly drink tea, and it has amazing ones from herbal to black, They make good hot and cold teas. The smoothie are good too, scones are made fresh every morning and they are the best. It has many things to choose from that will keep you satisfied as you study, read a book, or catch up with friends. Free wifi too

The best iced chai Ive ever had and at a great price!! I am a huge lover of chai, but a lot of places I can tell just use super sugary syrup of some sort and are so overpriced.

The staff was extremely friendly, patient, and helpful when we were deciding what tea we wanted to try. The wraps and sandwiches were really good. The atmosphere is cozy and calm. This was my first time going, but it is definitely on my list as a favorite in the area! I highly recommend you check it out!

Great customer service and the flavor selection was amazing! I had to think about what I wanted. I wanted all. Cafe Milo is the only coffee joint that offers real honey to sweeten coffee.

They have good sanwhiches and coffee. I would recommend the pesto turkey caprese for a snadwhich.

Good place to study. Great selection of drinks. Prices are on the higher side. Service is okay, several times Ive placed an order and the coffee never came or I received the incorrect size. Its a much needed cafe as there isnt much else around the West end of Ames.

I hate to give a local place a low review but its what I experienced. I was looking forward to going here for a long time! I went in for a Sunday lunch/coffee date. The place was PACKED which is a great sign, but not so great if youre looking to eat more than a muffin. I ordered the honey lavender latte (probably a little too out of the box for me but I thought I would try something new) and I also opted for the caesar salad. My date ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and a strawberry smoothie. Somehow the total ended up being $26!? Thats quite a bit for four things even if they come from a cafe. We waited for almost 15 minutes just to get our drinks. The smoothie came in a skinny tall glass that you couldnt get more than 7 drinks out of. My latte didnt taste like honey or lavender? We waited for almost another 10 minutes for someone to bring us our food. I guess I was expecting a little bit more than chicken crumbles on top of a salad of nearly all tomatoes? The buffalo chicken wrap looked like it had been heated up in the microwave. Needless to say, I was bummed! I thought about going back for a different beverage but Im not sure Im willing to pay so much again. At least I got some McDonalds nuggets to fill me up after!

No place in Ames will have better tea, I guarantee it. There is literally no way any other coffee shop in Ames will have better tea. Coffee is good, dark roast is the best roast. Some employees could use some training when it comes to coffee, but everything is overall good.

The serenity tea is amazing! Nice cafe with lots of space to work and relax. I liked that you didn’t have to have WiFi password and could just connect. Plentiful free parking, reasonable vegetarian options.

Great coffee shop with a nice atmosphere. Friendly staff, good drinks (both variety and quality), and fantastic sitting space. Very spacious and theres a fireplace! They also show local artists artwork on the walls, so it will change periodically.

Good service, good cold brew, good internet. Mostly quiet atmosphere great for studying. The espresso and brew is super burnt, though -- completely undrinkable unless its covered with milk or something.

Come for the coffee. Stay for the coffee. Mmmmm, coffee.

Cozy, with fast wifi, this cafe is great to study in and even order a drink. Great blends of coffee and amazing salads that even non-salad eaters would enjoy. With well priced menu 2-4 dollars for drinks.

Clean and always great service and great coffee! They have delicious teas and food as well. Their caesar salad is always fresh and the Turkey pesto caprese is amazing! Cafe Milo is a great place to catch up with friends, read, study or just go relax and enjoy some coffee.

Love this place for studying and working! Just wishthey were open much later. Nice tea and coffee selection. The food is nothing to write home about, save their soups on occasion. In the winter, the sofa by the fire is where its at.

Great little cafe. Lots of armchairs or tables to choose from. Ive been here a few times and had their scones, which were good, and recently the iced chai latte has been my drink of choice. Mmm...super yummy. Their hours in the summer are a bit short, as my book club usually picks a coffee shop thats open until 9pm, and they close at 8pm in the summer. So that is a bummer.

This was one of the first places we went to after moving to Oost tempted by the 2-for-1 cocktails on Wednesday nights, and it turned out to be the best! The drinks are delicious, the staff friendly and willing to go the extra mile, oh and the food is just amazing! I keep having different dishes every time I go and have yet to be disappointed.If you want to be delighted for a very reasonable price, I cant recommend this place enough!

Its a great little cafe for West Ames. It has all the the little decorations and touches youd expect from a non-chain store, and plenty of lighting seating for all. Ive heard the coffee is pretty good too, although overpriced as always.

We just went in about 20 minutes ago and they refused to serve us because they were Closing in 20 minutes, so we wont be serving drinks. Definitely not impressed. Apparently they dont want any revenue from us....

Nice little cafe in a town void of quality coffee. They get their coffee from Burgies, which is by far the best in the area. Their atmosphere and abundant outlets are great for those trying to get work done, and their coffee and food, while not mind blowing, are probably the second best for coffee shops in Ames (following Stomping grounds for food and Burgies for coffee brews).
