I have brought my car to Alden Auto a couple times and I am always satisfied with the service. They worked with my extended warranty company without issues. They communicate over text which is nice.

This review is long overdue as the people at Alden Auto deserve it. Corey, Mike and Anna have always taken good care of me and my old 2003 Honda Odyssey.I was first recommended Alden Auto by my parents (JoAnn Coffey has left a review as well) who were visiting and had an issue. Since then, Alden Auto has always done quality work on my car at great prices.Beyond the quality work though, Alden Auto goes above and beyond to take care of their customers. I had punctured a hole in my tire a few hours before I was to take a 5 hour trip back to my hometown. Upon calling Alden I was able to get the car in, have the tire patched and out quickly enough to not interfere with my plans.Lastly, Alden is one of the most welcoming places I’ve had the pleasure of being at. Instead of having someone pick me up I’ve often stuck around while the car was being worked on just to chit chat and hang about. And of course to give Maggie (the coolest shop dog) some pets as well.Corey, Mike and Anna, keep doing what you do. If I still lived in the Ames or Des Moines areas I would 100% still be getting my car serviced there.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. Although it is a little out of my way, they are more than worth it. Their prices are the best all around. They let me use my own part. And they took my car in and out. Their quotes for the rest of the stuff that I want done to my car were simply the best I could find so I plan on taking my car there every time I need them. Everyone is extremely friendly and lets not forget how cute the dog is!

Brought my Van in the get the struts replaced and they found a few other very important things that needed fixing. Pricing was fair and they took the time to explain to me the work that they had done. Definitely going back here!

Both Ann and Corey are super nice people. Their price is really reasonable and they are honest about what you need and what you dont need. Way better than those dishonest chain stores...Will definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Corey is friendly, prompt, and affordable. He takes the time to help you understand the problem and what he did to fix it. I hadn’t yet found a reliable person to take my car to in Ames, so I always took it to a dealership. I’ll definitely be going back to Corey’s shop next time.

Corey at Alden Auto was wonderful.We are from northern Illinois and were just leaving Ames to head home after the Cyclones game on Saturday afternoon. My Odysseys engine trouble light started blinking and the car was misfiring something fierce within 10 mins of hitting the road. At 3:00 pm, when most other repair shops were closed for the weekend, Corey Alden answered our distress call, got us in, diagnosed and repaired the problem, and got us back on the road home just after 4:00. He was kind, fair and honest even though we were in a pretty vulnerable situation (being 5 hours away from home). We now have a trustworthy mechanic in Iowa for my Cyclone son. I would recommend Corey for others needing auto repair. Thanks Corey!

DO NOT TAKE CAR HERE!! Bought Alternator from Auto Zone, Paid for tow over $800 all together repairs and the next day Car breaks down, Another tow bill and Cory Alden saying its a bad alternator....No back up or guarantee of work performed BAD business
