Dont use their website to reserve rental equipment! I try to reserve an equipment back on August 27th, for rental on September 10th. I got no response, so I emailed on September 2nd, guess what no response. So September 7th I called and was able to setup the rental. Then they call me on September 9th to inform me that I wasnt going to be able to use it. One day before I needed it. I had to rush around to find a replacement rental place and had to pay twice amount due to short timing. Thank a lot. Very unhappy with this place.

Excellent service!!! Mr. Shiver and Ms. Carol helped me out when my wood order had not come in. Ms.Carol took me around and introduced me to everyone and gave me a tour. I felt so nice about my entire experience!!! Thank you all.

Recently had and office built and I finished my deck. I always assumed that other places would be cheaper. Guess I was blinded by the big building and lights. After comparing prices I found I saved a lot of money going to Shivers over other choices.The store while smaller is easier to maneuver and the floors aren’t blocked with displays and pallets of stuff.More important than price was the service found at shivers. When I walked in I was greeted. I told the folks what I wanted and they called down to the wood yard to tell them I was on my way. Unlike other places I was met and the guys helped me not only load my order but also helped to make sure the boards I got were up to par. Even the lady at the guard shed was helpful making sure I got the right stuff as well as attaching a flag.

Great place !!!I like the people working hear. They are always dedicated to helping you get what you needed. If they dont have what you want they will always have a suggestion for an alternative or where to go to find it. They will custom order anything you want if you are willing to wait on shipping. I have used Shivers for most of my projects and will continue. No one will beat their service ! I challenge anyone reading this to put them to the test.

This place has everything you need to build whatever you want. The real difference in Shiver and Lowes or Home Depot is the employees. The employees at Shiver are actually very knowledgeable and care about the customer. They are quick to help whether its in the paint department or in the lumber shed.

Have been regular customer for 40 years. I get better service there than Lowes by 1000%. Prices are better, maybe not on tools, but material price is, plus one on one service, not a point in a direction.

It has a very knowledgeable staff and better grades of lumber than the big box stores.
