Update:Germaine Marine got back in touch with me regarding the concerns I expressed in my original review. They really went above and beyond to make things right and straighten out any issues I had. I was really impressed with how they handled that and they restored my confidence in them as a company and people that work there.Original Review:The staff were all very friendly and helpful. However, all of the service I have received has turned into a mess. I had them summerize (which listed hooking up batteries as a line item) and replace all fluids. When I got it back none of the pumps/lights/shower/etc had power to them. Batteries had the bare minimum hooked up. First time out with it and oil was blowing out of the oil filter because it wasnt installed correctly. When I took it back to get that fixed they didnt clean up the oil mess in the compartments which they specifically said they would and now none of the electrical works even though batteries are fully charged. I should have just done all the work myself and saved thousands since I am having to do it all myself anyway. I really wanted to make them my shop. They are nice but I dont trust their service at all now.
Germaine is legit! Not only were they knowledgeable friendly, kind, and all of those things, but they truly care about you the customer and their product. The transaction/experience was not only smooth but fun and truly developed a new friendship through it all. Ben is the Real Deal and was with us every step of the way and I cant say enough about him and the whole Germaine team
Dont post much but these guys are awesome. Great Dealership, Friendly Staff and Great Product Knowledge and Service Department. The Owner Noah was very personable and spent quality time with us. Thanks
As i read the reviews, i see many happy and some frustrated . In defense of Germaine marine, and in a concerned way for the customer- I’d like to say that operating a niche business in a seasonal environment to provide the customer service desired and deserved by all customers, is a never ending challenge. There are always ways to become more proficient and thorough, but this industry is very demanding and the skill set required to work in this field is like winning the lottery. It’s very hard to make everyone happy. In fact- impossible. If you find a well mannered,,clean cut, educated, experienced individual, treat him like the valued person they are because i tell you first hand- quality people and mechanics in today’s society is a real challenge. I know Germaine upholds these requirements and i speculate this being the cause to some “getting behind” or “overlooked work orrder “ .,please be compassionate customers. Please be understanding I’m a seasonal industry that is a fine balance between a 90k dollar qualified mechanic and winter where it’s a balance to maintain all the expenses when people put their boats away and say adios until next year. Germaine cares. There are many that don’t. Thanks.
Great service, very friendly sales and service. I highly recommend Germaine.
Asked if they could service my crownline. Was told that during this time of year they don’t work on anything older than 2000. The previous owner had taken this boat to this location during his ownership. I tried getting in, but my boat apparently wasn’t good enough to have them look at until the middle of winter. Definitely wouldn’t recommend them for service.
Management here is amazing. They truly care about you and running a great business. They helped me in a tight spot and have won my business forever.
These guys are great to work with. Adam & Ryan were really helpful throughout the sales process and patiently answered all of my questions. Dean was also really helpful in solidifying some of the finishing touches and I couldnt be more happy. I will definitely be working with them in the future.
This boat shop is super clean and the mechanic is so smart and takes time to explain what my boat is needing. I love this shop! Would never go anywhere else!
Took my boat in for shrink wrap and these folks definitely get it done and done right!
Germaine Marine took care of us on our old boat service needs. We bought a new one and now they take care of that one too. Thanks Noah and staff
Just keep diving past this place and go up the street for your boat service. There is a shop in Lindon that is more experienced, fair, and honest/up front etc..... but this is not a review of them, this is a review of Germaine.Short version: Paid $373.55 for nothing to be done (Okay, they did diagnose a couple things so they could tell me I was going to pay another $3,000 to get it operational) and I lost at least a month of play time waiting. Went to other service shop and paid less than half what I was quoted and treated great! I would get your boat serviced elsewhere.Long version: Took a boat to get serviced. I asked them to do a good once over and then do the typical service associated with a boat that had been sitting or a couple years. Remove gas, do oil work, that sort of thing. I was told it would be there a week or so. Two weeks later I called for a status and was told Your next in the queue. Okay, Ill wait. A week later called again, Youre next, I promise. A day or two later I get the call, Mr. Olsen, we need to talk. Was told that I need a new impeller and gear case reseal. Okay, how much? Was told it would be about $3,000. I told them I would need to talk to my aunt (she owns it) to see if that was okay. This is where Germaine can complain about me. It seemed like a big expense so I called around to other shops and it was going to be a week or two before they could get me in. Easier for me to only move it once from Germaine to the other place then to move it twice. I know, evil thing to do and easy to excuse but I already felt put out by Germaine. Finally time to move the boat to the other shop for repair and called Germaine to tell them I would just pick it up. They told me it was in the shop and they would need a couple hours before they could get it out. No problem, Ill come in late this afternoon and pick it up so thatll give you a few extra hours. Went into the shop late that afternoon and was told they still couldnt move my boat out of the shop cause its being blocked by another one. You didnt think to call and tell me this before I came down? Oh and how do you want to take care of this bill? Card is fine, how much is it? Itll be $373.55. Okay, so that covers the new batteries, cleaning out the gas. No, none of that, thats for the labor to diagnose and get it started and then you said to wait so we pulled the batteries, and can you wait for an hour or two for us to get it out of the shop? Alright, to be fair they do deserve some for diagnosing the issue but why wouldnt you do the other service why you have it in the shopI know, this is already entirely too long, and yet there is still a bit more.I told them I would come by the next day to pick it up since I didnt want to wait. As I walked out angrily I mentioned to one of the sales guys that I didnt think I was treated great. He took my name, etc. I picked up my boat the next day. A day or two later I got a call from the general manager and he was extremely nice and apologetic. That 25 minute call ended with him saying he would return the $373.55 to the card and all would be forgiven. Sounded fair to me.Guess what? That was the last I ever heard from Germaine. No credit, no call. The next shop I took it to (Up the road in Lindon) took a day to tell me that all that work would cost me about $1300 and he would need two days to complete it. Two days later the boat is ready, he threw in a new drain plug and was nothing but professional. If you own an older boat or didnt buy your boat from Germaine, I would take it elsewhere to get it serviced.
Ryan was great to work with. He told us the pros and cons of the different boats. He was very helpful and very knowledgeable but not pushy. He spent a lot of time to find us the right boat for our family. Thanks so much!
When you can make friendships in the industry, it’s better for everyone-customers included. The guys at Germaine are good, honest, Matt in service is knowledgeable and precautious. He confirms his work is done right 👍
Noah and Adam have been absolutely first-rate. Last summer they arranged for 3 different lake boat tests and even helped me and my partners arrange a trip down to Tige in Abelene, TX to check out the manufacturing process first hand. If you want to work with a dealer that is knowledgeable, responsive, and accommodating, these are your guys!
Great service! Love the Tige! Love Germaine marine.
Service Department was spot on. Thanks Noah for taking care of us. Highly Recommended.
Noah and team are top notch. Great customer service and product. Tigè is the only boat to own. Built a 19’ R22 and my family loves it. Came all the way from MT to get this beautiful boat!
Excellent service - the entire team has been great to work with - from the sales team to the service team. So often you buy something, and once they have your money, you are on your own. Not these guys. They have answered questions whenever they come up. Would definitely recommend them.
Just got an estimate on snow work.Very friendly and very helpful!
I went to the boat store to purchase a boat and I looked at a ton of them. I have owned boats for years and I know my stuff pretty well. But I looked at the ATX and loved it and for the price. I was probably a pain for them as this is a big purchase for me I think msrp was $96000.00 but they worked with me and got the price down. They took me on a text drive on it and the sales man was cool though during our many Conversations he told me he would give me a new wake surf board well after I bought the boat he went back on that. Though I dont need the board I wanted it cause that was part of the deal. So going back to the store to get my boat the Manager Dean was super nice and gave me one with out hesitation and paid for my first 20 hour check check up. That ment a lot to me cause I want to get the 24 foot this summer and I probably wouldnt of if he didnt take care of me. Thanks again to every one over there we love the boat!
Over the years my family has been towed by a lot of world class ski boats: Nautique, Mastercraft, Supra, Centurion, Moomba, Malibu, etc...but this year, we chose the 2020 Tige 23RZX. We actually went as far as to visit the manufacturing headquarters in Texas. We custom designed our own 23RZX that has the lions share of technological advancements in surf / wake / ski boats to date. The new Taps 3 system is so simple compared to the clunky multi controlled surf controllers of other boat brands. We simply cannot believe how easy it is to put a novice at the wheel and create a world class wake for surfing or boarding. The feature set and options were unlimited as well. To make the Tige buying experience even that much more rewarding, we had excellent service from the guys at Germaine Marine. Very knowledgeable staff who were never annoyed with our endless questions. Very pleased with the team and how they handled our transaction. Thank you for all the future memories, Germaine Marine and Tige!
We have only great things to say about our experiences with both the sales and service crew. They were easy to work with and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!
I have been to Germaine marine twice. Both experiences were negative. The first time, after we paid for service they connected it to my truck which was nice. When I got home I realized that they had switched out my trailer hitch (probably because they damaged mine) replaced it with a cheap one, and didnt say anything to me about it.This latest time I needed winterization and an impeller. I was quoted $260 for winterization and was told less than $200 for impeller. Just walked out with a $700 bill with no one remembers giving that price quote as the answer. Very frustrating. Wont deal with these guys again which sucks because I am about to buy a $140,000 boat and will need a place to service it.UPDATEI just got off the phone with Dean @ Germaine Marine. He was very apologetic and helped me understand why the cost of my repair went up. He also apologized for the previous issue (which I am sure wasnt his fault). He went as far as to credit some money back for the hassle. Class act guy. Definately worth giving Germaine another shot.
Bought a used boat from them back in May, we’ve been on the water 2 times with out any issues. I’ve done nothing but sink money into this boat without any enjoyment. The transaction was a disaster from the get go, I show up they say the mechanic went thru the boat and trailer but when I go to leave the trailer has no brakes. Best part about that is the lead mechanic towed the boat to the water for a test run and had to have known there were no trailer brakes. I will never trust these people again, and you shouldn’t either.
Adam and Dean were great through the whole process of buying a boat. They took numerous phone calls texts and emails during the process and were happy to help. Would definitely consider another boat from them in the future.
WORST place ever!!! If I could negative star this would be the place!! Pretty sad this is the only place in Utah representing Tige name!! They had our boat for over 6 months lied to us about warranty coverage, didnt even fix the other problems on the boat, they created more! And to top it off they returned our boat to us so dirty that it looked like it had been uncovered for the 6 months! In fact I know it was uncovered they aged our boat interior and our personal items by at least 5 years! Do NOT trust this place if you care about your boat!!! And to top it off the first time we picked up our boat last year from them they returned it dirty and I had asked them to not do that again and they did it even worse! They are full of excuses, full of lies and full of incompetent monkeys! Truly so disappointed!!! I wouldnt be running around letting everyone know this place is Family owned and operated if I was them!!
Great guys and Great Boats. Noah took the time and showed us the Tige difference and the luxury quality of the boats. Love our boat, Thanks guys!
Dean, Adam, Matt, and Jason are great! Their customer service is second to none. I absolutely love my Tige Z3. Its truly the Swiss Army knife of boats!
I am excited to have another place to take my boat. They seem to have the eye of the tiger just excited to help anyone who calls. With that aditude the should do well. Hopefully, as they grow the will keep that focus.
They were very helpful and quick to get the parts i needed. Under new management and seem to be really focused on great customer service.
We bought a boat from the Utah office in April and have been very happy with the boat. My husband found it online and got lots of photos and emailing and calling back and forth to check on the boat since we live in CA and couldnt go see it in person. They had a reasonable fee to transport the boat to the Norco, CA office. Purchase of the boat also went smoothly, aside from getting the boat registered in CA. It didnt have any registration stickers on the boat, so we were not able to use it until the CA registration came thru. It seemed to slip thru the cracks and took 3 months to get worked out. At one point we even told them to send us the paperwork because we could easily do it ourselves, but they told us it had already been submitted...and then a couple weeks later found out it had not and the Arizona office was still working on it. After 3 months we were very frustrated and finally got some help from the Norco office. When they stepped in we had the registration within a week. One of their staff drove it and personally delivered the registration to our house in San Diego to make sure we got it. We like the boat we bought, but our lesson learned is to take care of the registration yourself.
Ben, the service manager was awesome
We purchased our second Tige boat from Adam and Dean Brewer of Germaine Marine shortly after they had become the new area dealer for Tige Boats. I was very pleased with the way that we were treated right from the start. We had gone to the boat show as we usually do to check things out and see what new technology is coming down the pipeline. We hadnt planned on purchasing a new boat having only had ours for 1 season, but talking with Adam and the owner Noah at the boat show, a deal was struck that was impossible to walk away from. From ordering our Z3 to our specs, getting a better interest rate and term, delivery and the few minor warranty issues handled I could not ask for a better team to deal with. I really feel that their respect and integrity go a long way in making every customer a repeat customer!
I called and talked to Noah around closing time on a Friday about getting my boat in for a dewinterize service. I explained that my boat was at another shop waiting to be serviced and after being a week past my promised pick up date, I was fed up and looking for another option. I was told if I got my boat to them quickly they would be able to complete my service and have my boat back to me by the following weekend. I called the following Monday and talked to Dean to go over details of dropping my boat off, he informed me that they were 2-3 weeks out for the service. I mentioned my conversation with Noah and he said if he said wed get it to you by the weekend, well make it happen. Later that afternoon, my husband called to confirm time frame they would need our boat as the conversation I had with Dean didnt instill confidence, he was told theres no way he would even be able to look at our boat for 2-3 weeks. Im giving them a one star review based on the run around, if theres a miscommunication between departments Dean had the opportunity to correct the misinformation and tell me it would be 2-3 weeks rather than if he said so.
We purchased a Tige R21 from Adam and Dean. We had a great experience from the very beginning. These two gentlemen are not only great to work with, but they were very honest and transparent through the entire Sales process. We had the Boat built to order, and Adam kept us updated with timelines and pictures coming directly from the Tige Factory. I would highly recommend Germaine Marine for any boating needs. We are thrilled with the finished Product and look forward to many great years with our Tige Boat and the relationship with Adam, Dean and the Team at Germaine Marine!
I actually am surprised to hear the comments? Every time Ive been in there theyve been very helpful. Unless theres something that theyre out of and I have to have it immediately, i dont go anywhere else. Ive been going there for years. Must have been just an off day in the place. Ive shopped at SS and they never seem to be able to help me. It always seems that its someone elses job at SS whenever Ive gone in there looking for parts or their pro-shop.
We had a great experience purchasing our rzx with the help of Adam. Germaine has always been happy to answer any questions we have had and quick to help with any concerns.
Noah the owner is a Super Good guy and took the time to go through the different models and explain the differences. When I buy a boat I will for sure be back here! Thanks Germaine Marine for the experience
I had a great experience working with Dean and Adam on my Tige Z3 purchase.
These guys have great customer service and quite willing to help
They made me a great deal at the boat show.
Took great care of my boat and excellent customer service
Great service, the type of place that goes the extra mile.
These guys were very helpful when trying to find a part for my boat other places ordered wrong part but Germaine marine nailed it will definitely keep doing business here
Would never again bring my boat for repair there . Finally taking the boat that supposedly fixed by Germain marine still wont work start up and dies paid 320dollars freaking ripped off place.
Nice place for your boat
Great service department
Bad people!
