Ive been a customer of Clegg for 15 years, and Ive sent countless referrals there. Ive never had a single experience that made me question their honesty, which is a very big deal to me in an industry FULL of corruption. One time, I brought them an intact, non-running engine, and they discovered that the cam pulley had been installed upside-down (A seemingly impossible discovery). Ive always been impressed with their competence and fairness.

My SUV has been making a loud squealing/ticking noise and after changing my belt and finding no improvement, I brought it into Clegg’s. They ran diagnostics on my vehicle and when I came in later they had an estimate all put together and seemed very organized. I did however not get a call midday as they said because they got behind on some of the vehicles so had to check in twice myself. The staff was also very friendly and answered my questions.

Honestly one of, if not THE most down-to-earth and trustworthy auto repair shops you can find. I was super impressed not only by the work they did, but their honesty, friendliness, professionalism, and punctuality.They were quite busy but still made time for all the customers walking in and calling, as well as my own appointment. Despite their busyness, my car got finished in the amount of time they estimated. It also cost me less than I was expecting, which was awesome! (Also they have free drinks and ice cream if you wait, which was a huge bonus!)

I just got an emissions test this time. As always, they were ready when I arrived at my appointment and took care of it quickly. Their waiting area is clean. They dont charge extra to do on the spot registration. When I have gone there for repairs, they have always done good work.

I called ahead to see if they would be willing to do a pre-purchase inspection on a car I wanted to test drive and they were able to fit me in. Inspection took about 30 minutes and they found a few problems that helped me decide not to purchase the car. Their inspection only cost $79 and they said if I brought in another car for an inspection to just let them know and they would take $10 off each subsequent inspection. Super clean and professional. Would definitely use them again.

I went here because the reviews were great and I recognized the name from years ago. They got me in as soon as I called. They quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem for less than I expected. My vehicle seems much better now. Very friendly people. I like the warranty they give. I reccomend them.

Love the guys that work there. First experience my wife went in for an oil change and mentioned professionalism. I went in for my car a few days after and felt the same experience. It was later in the afternoon (closing time) and I felt no rushed to be out they were super helpful and can tell they love their business and love what they. I recently brought my van in to have my rear differential and coupling completely replaced. This was a huge cost and they were very responsive and quick in getting the work done.Dealing with car issues are the worst, but dealing with Clegg Auto wasnt bad at all. I went here for a pre-purchase inspection of a used car I was considering buying. I’m so grateful I did! The mechanics told me about the car’s current condition and, given the miles, what would probably go wrong with it soon. I own a tree removal company with a fleet of about 10 trucks. Due to the nature of our work we do a lot of towing and are hard on our vehicles. With that being said we have been to a lot of of mechanics in Utah county and salt lake. In my opinion these guys are the best. The biggest reason is that they actually communicate and do what they say they will do. They are thorough in their explanations, our vehicles are ready when they say they will be ready. They are always very respectful and have a clean lobby and shop.

We were incredibly impressed by the quality communication from Clegg Auto. We brought in a new-to-us used car with a host of issues. They thoroughly checked the car and identified a number of key issues that needed to be addressed. This included timing belt, alternator, and several other smaller items. They took time to explain each item and what they checked. They were honest about all repairs. I verified each item they fixed. All of them were addressed correctly. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. We were also impressed by the technical skill of those working there. Everything I was looking for in an auto shop, Clegg provided. It is easy to see why their ratings are so high. The valley is full of second-rate mechanics. The folks at Clegg Auto are fantastic. We plan to use them in the future.

I went there to get a safety inspection (salvage car) because it was literally the only place I found that still does them. It was $15, which I was happy about. The only problem was that they were swamped and really busy and I waited for about an hour when it took them 2 min to do the inspection. But they had the WiFi password listed and had a mini fridge of drinks you could take, so that was nice.

Communicated very well and completed the work in a timely manner while doing a great job. Vehicle always feels and runs great when they’re done with it

I was super stressed my car just didnt start when I got up for work.... I knew it was the alternator. Called them by mistake thought they were the place I had it repaired at a few years ago. The best freaking mistake Ive made in a recent memory. You wont get any better prices or customer service. I went in to get a brief check up on my vehicle because a grinding noise I was hearing. They were able to take care of it. These guys are amazing! I was having a reoccurring problem with my car and the other shop I was bringing it to originally couldn’t figure out what it was wrong after I had brought it in multiple times. The first time I brought it over to Clegg Auto, Morgan helped me understand what could be wrong and the possible fixes very clearly. Then I had to bring it in again 2 days later because of another separate problem and Morgan again helped me clearly understand what was wrong and the possible options to fix it. These guys are great and if I could give them 6 stars I would. They are very honest and honorable. The end amount I needed to pay was pretty high and they ended up not charging me for a portion of the service to dock down the price. Nothing bad to say from me. Wow AMAZING service! Morgan was professional and friendly from the second I called him to make an appointment. Reasonable pricing and they are your one stop shop for all auto needs. They changed my oil, and even did a free inspection including checking my alignment. Once they were finished, Morgan called me and explained everything in detail regarding my car, tires and what needed to be fixed on my alignment. He was very thorough on the phone and even when I came in to pick up my car. I really felt like he cared about my car and the service he provided. He gave me the bill and went through the charges, even gave me a quote for new tires that I will be needing within 6 months. Not pushy at all, just wanted to make sure I was getting the best service and I understood what I needed. I will certainly be going here for all my auto needs!

Great service, it was done sooner than expected and at about 40% less than what the dealership quoted us.

They let me make an appointment (how convenient is that?) and my car was quickly put into a bay and looked at once I arrived. Turns out I just had a super dead battery and they replaced it and changed out the old bolts too, I was there for only an hour. Very friendly and communicative the whole time and upfront about pricing! I whole-heartedly recommend these guys!!

Im kind of crazy for driving a 97 Toyota Camry with around 350,000 miles on it, but because I have repairs regularly I have to have someone I can trust. I had some significant issues and my car needed a few days for the part to come in. Clegg gave me one of their loaner cars for a few days and treated me right. Morgan and Todd all took extra time with me to drive around and hear what I was hearing so that they could really diagnose the right issue. These guys arent just honest, they treat me like Im family. And Cory, the other counter guy too; all super awesome! I wish I could give them seven stars!

Even though I decided it wasn’t worth fixing they gave me the information I needed to make an informed decision. I have used them for years. I trust their diagnosis, their work is top quality, prices are fair and I never feel like someone is trying to up sell me.

Very good service, but a heads up if it matters to you none of the employees were wearing masks, no partitions, no distancing possible for the customer at the counter, etc. There is a sign on the door saying masks required.
