They are closing down for good soon and are currently having a fire sale on all their merchandise. Its to bad Hastings is closing Im gonna miss the awesome random store. Now all we have is Spencers and they honestly dont compare.

The greatest store in the world! They bring the Blood Bath, they bring the Antropomorphia, they bring the Exodus and all the classic metal Ive been into for 30 years right down the road from my house. Thanks for all you do Hastings!

Couldnt get with the times and now its over for them to bad they had to shut down. Last place in town i know of to rent video games this particular store wasnt to bad but overall the company wasnt to great imo

My teens love this store. I like the books and coffee.

Totally nonsensical -- rather than bringing prices down to move their movies and books and music, theyve now tacked on barware and skateboards and toys and guitars, so now they have even more poor-selling categories. Being that you can get used DVDs for $1-$2 at pawn shops, Hastings buying your DVDs for $1 and marking the price up 600% is just plain idiotic. Plus, why shell out $4-$5 to rent new-release movies when you can just rent from RedBox for half that amount? It used to be Hastings was packed on Friday and Saturday evenings and nights; now this store has barely any customers, and this is largely because this company refuses to change with the times and offer competitive prices. Theyve already closed 34 stores around the country, and Ill be really surprised if theres even a single one left open in the next year or two. Finally, who in the world prices their merchandise? At the same store a brand-new Blu-Ray of the Liam Neeson movie Unknown is $10.99 yet a used Blu-Ray of it is $16.99. Seriously?

This establishment is permanently closed! Bankrupt by Amazon, Netflix and the internet.

OMG HASTINGS IS AMAZING! I live in San Antonio and I think the closest one is over an hour from where I live. This store is the model store so maybe its the nicest one. But it was huge and has everything I loved the used blue ray section it was fairly priced and had a great selection unlike other used stores. I didnt check out the music or books but it looked like they had a great selection and my dad who is a big book worm said he got new books that were about triple the cost at borders or barnes and nobles. The new video games seemed a little over priced but they did have a great selection of new and used games were fairly priced. If anyone with any pull reads this pretty please with a cherry on top come to San Antonio if you open it in the right location I think it will succeed we are tired of half price books Best buy Barnes and Nobles and Cd Exchange

A fantastic store that is soon to be shut down.

How does anyone find a book that they are looking for? There is no organization at all. They are categorized and thats it. All books are just put on shelves.
