Store is fairly clean, staff was busy putting out new items, prices were a bit high on many items in my opinion but a nice selection and we purchased several things, they also do a 15% veterans and senior discount.

I love to shop at this store! Kids grow fast and Halloween costumes are only worn once. I got great deals for my grand kids

I love shopping at DAV Thrift store!...I always find something I can use or something for my kiddos...They usually always have a great selection of kids books with most of them priced at only .40 each. Thats hard to beat at that price. The store is always very clean as well.

The store in Alvin, Texas is a great place to shop and browse. It is clean and well organized with an amazing variety of merchandise. I was surprised at how much good stuff I found here. Everything is very reasonable and they don’t sell lots of junk like other thrift stores I’ve been to. I found lots of great baby clothes/items

The workers do a great job keeping the store organized. Sections are easy to find. The clothing is clean with no weird smells. Best to shop here every other week to find the best bargins.

I enjoyed shopping at their store. Everything was very clean. The merchandise was very nice. The employees or very courteous and friendly. This is my first time to visit their store and I will definitely be back and bring a friend. Great cause. I love and appreciate our veterans and soldiers.

Store is well organized with lots of clothing selection for both men and women. Many nicer items can be found in the front behind the counter. In general things are priced well, and normally a treasure can be found easily enough. Located in strip mall so plenty of parking. A good thrift store to check out.

Well organized. Good selection and regular movement of inventory. Prices are fair. Definitely kept clean.While its not as large as goodwill, it feels just as professional.

I have an online store on an app called depop where i sell clothes so i go here to refill my collection, they have a good selection, even for a teenage girl haha

We stop by the store . Around 5:30 pm ., the store said the close 9 pm . When big lie . We juts wasting our time and gas . Horrible experience. Who ever is in charge. Is very irresponsible to leave the hrs . Wrong .

Typically, I love DAV BUT I warn anyone purchasing a fragile breakable item from there, watch the cashier handeling your fragile item. I was at the register about to purchase a ceramic/glass candle that came in two pieces when the cashier dropped the top half of the ceramic candle holder. I understand accidents happen, thats fine. One of the other worker came up from behind her and asked me if I still wanted to purchase the other half of the broken (the base) candle. I was appalled. Why would I want to purchase something broken, even if it is a thrift store?????The remainder of my purchase fell below the $5.00 credit card limit so I was not allowed to use my card to pay for my purchase. Sadly, I never carry cash so I had to leave the rest of my purchase behind. I feel the $5.00 minimum rule on the credit card should have been waived since the cashier accidentally broke the candle. Not a good experience at DAV that day.

My wife and I went there to browse for chairs/couches and we found a Maroon recliner tagged for $39.95. We went to the register, told the lady which one it was that we wanted to buy, and she sent an employee to go write it up. When he came back to the register he had changed the tag to say $129.95.. when we confronted him, he denied everything and told us to leave. What a terrible person, to ruin a sale at a DISABLED VETERANS thrift shop. Have a little more time respect for those men and women who serve our country!

The store is clean and well organized. The staff was friendly. Some of the items are over priced but on our visit we purchased 6 articles of clothing, two pair of slacks and 4 blouses, for less than $20.

Horrible they just let kids run around there. These kids where running around with a boomerang almost hit my 6 mth child old we let the manager she goes to the customer and points us out Not knowing my daughter was listening. My daughter could of been hit and nobody did anything about. I use to shop here all the time now I will never return.

Id like too donate but its hard to find them open on my schedule...A DROP BIN WOULD WOULD HELP SOO MUCH!

Great location, great buys, great people.

A number of the employees here are very rude!! Today for example my 2 yr old little girl sat on a riding toy and a staff member came by and told me in a harsh tone, Get her off of there. No sitting on store merchandise. Then when checking out I had a costume for my son and I couldnt find a tag on it so asked how much it would be. They said they couldnt sell it to me since it had no tag. I asked if they could have someone in the back price it for me as my son was very attached to it. No was the answer and no apologies. My little 4 yr old was heartbroken/crying and it took everything in me to stay cool and collected. This place wont be getting my business anymore.

Compared to goodwill: its more neat and less messy and things are in right places. Its usually quiet over at dav and not much talking. Not much new stuff. People dont do disgusting stuff like spitting gum on floor or shelves or whatever like they do at goodwill. At goodwill, I see gum on ground, on toppers. And I sometimes see crunched up paper towel or toilet paper on the floor also at goodwill. So disgusting. I appreciate dav for making sure these things dont happen.

I was very disappointed today when I saw a DAV employee give another employee a stack of vintage plates and tell him that they couldnt sell them because the paintings on them had the confederate flag on them. This store is for the benefit of veterans and the last time I checked the soldiers that fought in the confederate army were still considered to be veterans. I wish businesses would stop giving in to social pressure and use good judgement to run their businesses.
