A friend of mine and I went to this place for visiting. one of my friends recommended me that this place is one of his favorite places to visit, and I’ve ordered a lavender vanilla. Interestingly, the taste is quite a fashion somehow, complicated to describe. I do enjoy the atmosphere there and it’s a pity that I didn’t join the clay class because of the pandemic. But if in the future there is any chance for me to visit altoona again, I will definitely come to the shop for more adventures.

Its such a great little coffee & pottery shop. They have a fantastic staff that is always friendly & very helpful! The atmosphere is pretty relaxed & calming, from the moment you step in the door. They offer a wide variety of coffee beverages & have a coffee shop type food menu with an assortment of tasty pastries! The pottery side of the shop is also a great time, there is also a wide variety of pottery to choose from. The hardest part you will face with the pottery is deciding on your paint colors! Its an all round great place to experience, you wont be disappointed unless you dont get a chance to try their macarons!!

Was in town for a short weekend and stopped in. Best cup I’m town with creative and delicious specials. I appreciate the multiple non dairy offerings and the staff is excellent. (We also went to greenbean later the same day and wished we had just returned to Clay Cup- GB wasn’t nearly as friendly, clean, cute or delicious.)

Oh my word, this place is a must stop!Between the amazing atmosphere, kind baristas, and the sweetest pottery shop in the back, there is nothing closer to heaven. My friend and I walked in on a cold rainy day and were met with kindness and quick service. The coffee and hot chocolate was delicious!I didn’t get to actually paint pottery because of a time crunch, but it was very clean and well stocked. Looked like an absolute blast! Can not recommend this place enough! 10/10

Very nice coffe and pottery shop tucked away in downtown Altoona. Hearty “Loaded Baked Potato” soup that had a creamy texture and right balance of ingredients. The Americano is a blend of light coffee with a shot of espresso to add a bolder tone. Nutty but not overpowering and smooth. Although they don’t roast their own beans, the beans are from Passenger Coffee Roasters from Lancaster Pa. Very friendly and informative staff.

Went here after seeing good reviews. Ordered a hazelnut americano. My partner ordered something else. The hazelnut coffee was so sweet, I just couldnt drink more than a fifth of the cup. My partners coffee was fine. These guys have clay sculptures, and there seem to be painting classes for these, which is kind of neat. Wanted to have a good experience with these guys, but sorry, did not like my coffee.

Neosho is very lucky to have this spot. The coffee is third wave which is hard to find in rural areas. Very high quality products and locally sourced. The owners are artists and the environment here is relaxing and creative. They use a special cold brew method which extracts the smoothest flavor and packs a punch as well. People travel from all over the area to get a good cup of coffee here.

The Clay Cup was recommend to me by a friend. I came here and it was so cozy and had nice vibes. I got to try the s’mores scone, and a cinnamon bun. I would recommend both! The cinnamon bun is better than cinnabon in the mall. The s’mores scone is so delicious. For the drink, I got a chocolate chai. The chocolate chai is very good, and I will get it again someday. This is such a nice coffee shop to come to. They get everything out very quickly, and the workers are extremely kind.

I LOVE the Clay Cup. This is a wonderful little gem of a coffee shop and painting studio. The baristas are terrific. Always friendly and knowledgeable, they can quickly make recommendations or explain their processes and ingredients. The drinks are delicious. I will admit to not being a coffee drinker, but I love their teas and cream sodas. They always have a yummy assortment of baked goods. My favorites are any flavor of macaroons; unicorn scones; a dense and delicious moist granola bar; and the cupcakes. Tip - ALWAYS get your scone heated. It becomes moist and crumbly and the flavors deepen. Yum!! They also offer sandwiches, soups, and bagels. The back half of the establishment is dedicated to pottery and, during group classes, canvas painting. When Im able, Ill paint every week or so. This space is managed by the kind and lovely Theresa, who makes sure the staff is patient, kind and attentive. The pottery selections are diverse and always changing, ensuring that by the time you finish one project you will have your eye on two more (at least!) that you want to paint. The prices are reasonable. You pay a flat price for the pottery, and that includes all the supplies you need, as well as the final clear dip and firing.

I am officially infatuated with the Clay Cup. I am not a coffee drinker, but their chai latte is delicious. I have also had tea there on several occasions - all nice loose leaf options, and not just a tazo tea bag from a box.The rest of the shop is inviting and cheerful. Its quite a change from other coffeeshops Ive been to where theyre dimly lit and somewhat brooding. All-in-all its a very welcoming place. My favorite part of the whole shebang are the plentiful outlets with USB ports! I do freelance development and really like being able to plop down in a chair and not have to worry about running out of charge on my laptop or phone batteries.

I ADORE this the Clay Cup. It is so cute. I have been hearing about it for months and finally made it to see for myself. Everything from how the storefront is presented with the displays, to the beautiful brick interiors...it feels super cozy and I would love to just plunk down and read or do work.At the recommendation of the kind lady helping me, I tried the coconut iced coffee. There was no line, and it was ready in less than a minute. It was delicious. I hear the pastries are really good, but I have yet to try for myself. I would also like to go back to paint some pottery and to buy some of the super cute cards from their gift shop corner.

Love this place! The drinks are delicious, the pastries are perfection, and the bagels are the best Ive ever tasted! I kind of wish there was a little more seating, but Im not sure how that could be achieved with the way the space is set up. Good coffee, nice atmosphere. Wont be buying pastries there anytime soon, I didnt see a price for them until I checked my emailed receipt, $4 for a scone or a piece of blueberry crumble is a bit too high for me. Very cute coffee shop with a limited selection of food items, but there is a good variety of tea and coffee drinks. I dont drink coffee so tried an iced tea that was pretty good. You can have lunch here if you like grilled cheese and soup (soup isnt served on weekends, though), and grab a pastry with your drink. Its a bit expensive, but no more so than a Starbucks, which is also a specialty coffee shop, just a chain. This isnt a chain. They have pottery to paint and it appears classes, but were visiting family so didnt have time to check them out. Owners sell art in the shop and its pretty good.
