Guitars, drums, pianos, pool tables, scale trains, and western wear! Its a one stop shop for a handful of my favorite things! Definitely stop in if youre in the area. Its such a unique store.

Good little hometown vibe music store. Staff is kind and very helpful. Some items seem a little over priced, compared to reverb and such, but other than that, its a great. Independently owned music store, definitely not run of the mill, also... the guitar tech is amazing, helpful, and very knowledgeable in his expertise from Luther work, to setups, hes a beast.

This past week was my daughters sweet 16, with that in mind, I wanted to get her a dream guitar level of instrument (she plays acoustic) . I went down to the Emporium hoping to find the one. Shes already got a pretty nice little Yamaha that she has been playing a couple of years, but I wanted something that would WOW her.To make a really long story, a short story...I ended up finding an absolutely BEAUTUFL Breedlove Concertina. Rick (owner of the store) did me solid #1 with the sale....but that is not why I am writing this review. I am writing this review because of what happened a couple of days later when I gave my daughter the beautiful guitar. Which is that we realized that something was not right, the neck had an ever so slight warp in it down by the body (not the bow that is common and fixable with a truss adjustment) this was a legit, really weird warp. I should have caught it when I was playing it, but to be honest I didnt look it over as good as I should have.At any rate, the neck was warped and I was SICK about it. I took the guitar back to the store....no BS, no fuss, nothing but apologies and class. The guys at the store agreed that the neck was warped, apologized for the issue, told me to come back and talk to the owner (he wasnt in). 2 Days later I went back in and talked to the owner, he was apologetic. Gave me a refund, again, no fuss, no BS, nothing but class.I dont write reviews as a general rule and I dont really make a judgement on things when a transaction goes smooth....I make judgements when things DONT go smooth, that is when you see the true nature of a business, that is when people show their true colors. I was bummed about the guitar but I dont hold that against the store, they sell a pile of instruments, I dont expect them to go over every guitar they sell with a fine tooth comb before they sell them. Stuff happens....its how a business acts when things go wrong that make them a stand up business, a class act.Rick and the guys cemented my business by handling the whole deal with class. And as a side note...I ended up saving the day by finding another Breedlove dealer who had the EXACT same guitar in stock, so I went and got it....for a hundred bucks more than what I paid at Emporium the first time.Emporium has been and will continue to be my go to spot. These guys rock.

Pretty nice music store, mostly focused on guitars and guitar equipment. There is also a piano room with a decent selection of sheet music. Not too much in terms of brass/woodwind products. You can still find a pretty wide variety of items in here though.

Dropped off my acoustic guitar to have a setup file the bridge and restring. setup wasn’t bad but they scratched my headstock with the string winder pretty dang good, I payed good money for this guitar so it was kinda upsetting. Also one of the bridge pins were sticking up pretty good compared to the others, an easy fix no big deal loosen up a bit and push it down. Would recommend but you should ask them to be careful

The place has hardly changed over the last decade. As soon as I walk in I instantly want to start playing with everything on display. I only play a handful of instruments but, when I am here I look at them all longingly. If they dont have what you need on hand they will help you get it. Great staff, great place! *Disclaimer*: Your inner-musician-kid may make themselves known during your visit, you have been warned.

The goal in the Altoona dealer store is not to sale a piano, it is to bend the customer over the piano. The store is a tax write off for the owner. The run around the customer is given is a gross representation to Yamaha products. Due to the treatment recieved; I am more inclined to never purchase or recommend to have anything to do with yahama products & this store. This store does reflects poorly upon yahama and does warrant a look into yahama dealer representtation.

I went into the store looking for my first intermediate level guitar with a budget of about $500-700 and was pretty sure that I knew what I wanted from my own research. However, when they took me back to their guitar room I was blown away with the selection. There was a great variety for such a small local store. I was able to find a Yamaha that was originally over $1000 for just over $700. Unofrtunately, within a month, I had dropped the guitar and cracked the top. I took it back to get it repaired and was given back my guitar in stunningly condition within two months! I love these guys and when it comes to guitars especially, they know what they are talking about and are willingly to haggle a bit which is super nice! I will always buy my stuff from them

Very unhelpful staff with very passive aggressive workers. Have small signs that say not to touch the instruments so you better ask or they’ll complain to each other about you loudly. As a common customer I assumed that there would be no problem with me picking up a $150 guitar to noodle on. Upon putting it back right where I found it after some very light playing I hear a worker say loudly so I heard “I love when people pick up the guitars without asking.... it’s my favorite thing.” No products worth checking out and seeing either. Ill give them a star for them having some boss pedals that I wouldn’t DARE to even ask to play.... because then I’d have to touch a guitar...... save your money and shop somewhere else/online.

I was never refunded, given a store credit or shipped back the correct items...not even an apology or call back from management. I tried calling several times and was given the run around! I will never buy from them again. Ill spend my money with a company who does right by their customers. Contacting the BBB

Nice and friendly atmosphere when ive gone in there and have spent an enormous amount of money in there over time. Never have had an issue when ive gone in there looking for things ive needed and wanted. And if it was not currently on the shelf it was made aware that it could be ordered within reasonable time. Most local stores havent had the capability of carrying a wide variety of name brand products such as Keiths Country & Music Emporium. I would recommend this store if you are in or around the area and are in need of any of the products they have to offer. Great staff and have always seemed willing to help out as much as possible either by phone or in person.
