Colonial Medical supplies used to be amazing. They know are under new ownership and the service is awful. I have spent over a week trying to obtain a knee scooter for my daughter and it has fallen on deaf ears. I called again today and they still have no information. The girls that work the desk at the Altamonte location are not helpful at all. Very disappointed with them.
Service used to be fantastic when it was colonial medical supply, but since it’s been bought out it is HORRIBLE. Instead of dealing with your doctor directly for your prescription now they make you get their prescription updated for them before they will take any action on re-orders of supplies.Don’t use this company, find another one and run away.
What a waste of time. Don’t expect a return call. No call backs, given wrong location information. On day seven without equipment. Logged a complaint with my insurance company. Wondering if I will get a response to this review or will the answering service respond.
Worst customer service ever. Dropped off first script.(for my disabled roommate). They needed notes. They received notes and called two weeks later denied wheelchair. So after foot surgery dropped of new script. Told them to disregard old script. After a week i called and they said denied from OLD notes. I told the gum chewing lady to disregard notes from previous script for 8-19. New script was given 8-26. She still said denied. Absolute morons. I think if she actually listened instead of chewing her gum, she would have understood. Save yourself a headache-take your business somewhere else.
The rudeness and unprofessional people that work there is crazy. First the ones at the desk ..when u. First walk in..ignore you..if you are a certain race. Glad i was able to go somewhere else.
Whew...these people saved the day when I was asked to move my mother from rehab to an empty room in assisted living within 24 hours. I called when the store opened and asked if they could deliver a hospital bed the same day...the answer was yes and the bed was delivered by 4 pm. While its definitely not a good idea to cut it that close, I wanted to let people in the area know how grateful my family was for their help in this situation.

Excellent service reasonable rate on the Oxygen. The doctor phoned in the prescription and it was ready when they went to pick it up for me. Very convenient. Dont know why all of the bad reviews. I and my family have been treated very well. When I accidently left it on all night and lost all of the oxygen, I felt real good the next morning until I went to use it and it was empty. My friend took it back and they replaced at no charge and gave us specific directions on how to turn on and off. Definitely would recommend their services. Thank you Colonial
Absolutely the worst customer service and follow through. I used to be a customer years ago and they were terrific. 12 years later and ordering new medical equipment, they havent delivered anything that wasnt timely or what i wanted. They didnt respond to my insurance companys request for more info and my order was delayed almost 2 months. Since then, any re-orders, theyve screwed up or didnt deliver.; even when I ordered via their automated caller or ordered via a customer service rep. I ordered something a while back so my final month of health insurance would pay for it. Today I found out they never placed the order and my insurance has lapsed! They will not accept responsibility for their mistakes, too. If my medical supply needs were life-saving, Id be dead by now. I will never use them again. Too many online companies who will take my insurance and make sure Im a satisfied customer. The owners of Colonial Medical Supply should have their business license revoked....
Pure insurance scammers. Took two days for them to get insurance approval and then I found out I would have to pay $40 additional. They said the sit down walker was $169 and I bought the exact same one from Amazon for $52. These people are scamming the public and insurance companies.
I was helped today by a Mr. Michael Perez and what a blessing he was. He displayed the costumer service you would appreciate in any line of business, but he is definitely the ideal fit for this one. I was stressed, nervous and confused about the situation i was in and what i needed for my 11 month old. Michael had no idea what i had been through previous to my visit yet managed to completely turn my day around with his happy and humble demeanor and just some of the down right best customer service Ive ever received. This company does not know how to treat their patients. They dont ensure that the correct diagnosis is submitted; when they dont get paid they wont allow the patient to order, which is their error for not checking it out first. They wont replace parts that break. They will only fulfill an order if it is more than one item. Audra the manager gives you a very hard time, as well as the runaround; she lacks sincerity and lacks sincerity and is very inconsistent in her replies. The owners dont care! Steer clear of this company!!!
I read the reviews before going to this place and prepared myself for the aggravation of the visit - I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The girl at the front desk was helpful and at first told us it would be 30-45 minutes of a wait time. We were taken care of and were out of there within 35 mins. She took the time to explain things to us and showed us how to adjust and fold my mothers walker. I told her that I was expecting a hassle and she said that if the doctor does not write things down exactly on the prescription the insurance company makes things difficult and that is what complicates things.I would not hesitate to return here. I had a very pleasant experience.
This is the absolute worst company to deal with!!! Ive been going back and forth between Colonial Medical and my 92 year old, mothers doctor with a prescription to get her into a wheelchair. Very unresponsive, unorganized, lack of care about their customers. Questioning why a 92 year old may need a wheelchair??? Absolutely terrible to deal with and do not call the doctor or myself back even after numerous calls! I got so fed up with this company I just went out and purchased my mother her own wheelchair! Will never do business with them, and will tell others to stay away as well!!!
THERE’S A REASON WHY THIS STORE HAS A 2/5 RATING! Customer service is horrible in a field where they should be understanding with customer NEEDS! MEDICAL NEEDS FOR ALL SAKE! I’m a paraplegic who moved from Orlando and was visiting in town and ran out of catheters due to me having an family issues and had used all my supplies, called them to let them know I couldn’t get a hold of my doctor to send them a prescription so I could buy the catheters and told them I’ve been a customer in the Orlando store for the past 10 YEARS! Santiago the name of the person who talked to me.. REJECTED ME AND SAID THEY COULD’NT SELL ME A BOX OF CATHETERS DUE TO MY EXPIRED PRESCRIPTION. I WAS RUSHING THERE FROM APOPKA BECAUSE I WAS DESPERATE HAVING TO GO PEE!!!! I was polite to them asked them to be ETHICAL with me and I was paying out of pocket!! I was denied, they transferred me twice told me was against the law. What kind of humans are this people? I was able to find another medical store who sold me a box with no QUESTIONS ASKED! Broken law or a company with shady guidelines with a system to MAKE MONEY!
The customer service was great, Nikki especially was an incredible help! My grandmother now has a grand wheelchair I highly recommend Colonial Medical to anyone who is looking for quality service and equipment.
My 4 month old daughter had her first respiratory sickness and needed a nebulizer. The staff was very friendly and professional and helped me find a beagle shaped nebulizer for kids that she will have for many years. This great customer service experience made a rough day a little more manageable. Thank you.
I have then a 3 only because they offer things you cant find anywhere else. However customer service is terrible. I called to find out the price on renting a wheelchair for the week because I injured my knee and was not able to walk on it was told one price and when I got there it was 3 times as much not to mention I wasnt told about a deposit either. Ive never had a need for such a thing but I should have been told the proper information before I got there. When I asked to speak to a manager the girl that I spoke to on the phone came out and lied about what she had said. The manager ended up giving me the price but it was a hassle to get it.
The manager Jillian from the oxygen/CPAP department is very unprofessional...I was humiliated with my family who companied me to return and equipment...regardless of my situation it is definitely inappropriate to discuss my billing information in front of others out loud....I got no privacy whatsoever from the manager and this is the person you have representing this company...I think its time to retrain management on customer privacy and having better manners than yelling at my mother who is 79 over the phone as well. This manager has made this experience terrible...dont wish anyone else to put up with this unfairness and humiliation in the Altamonte location. :(

Dont ever try to call and ask for help! I was transferred about 7 times back and forth between their locations and got put on a 8 minute hold each time! When My girlfriend told the salesman that the brace that was ordered didnt fit, he still made her try it on again, messing up her knee so bad she had to be wheeled back to the car.
Absolute worst medical supply store! My mom’s CPAP machine has been acting strange, & she hasn’t been able to use it. So, I went with my mom to see if maybe they can take a quick look at it, & see if they know what is wrong with it. We didn’t want them to fix it, nor take it apart. We simply wanted them to look at it or listen to the air flow of the machine. When I asked, the girl in the front instantly said “If you did not buy it here, we cannot look at it, nor touch it!”. So we asked her if she could show us the accessories for the CPAP, such as the tubes or nasal mask. She told us that if we didn’t buy the CPAP machine in that store, she cannot sell us anything. They were of no help whatsoever!

They have the worse customer service. When asked to speak to a manager She (Sarah) said she was the manager and her temper was already raised. She was unhelpful and blamed me for not calling sooner regarding our equipment because they needed more information from our Doctor. How am I supposed to know you need further information if you dont call us? I am not a mind reader. I called back and attempted to speak to the owner. I left a message for the owners lets see how long that takes. I dont anticipate them calling back or rectifying the issue. Last time I checked if I need something I ask, I dont assume someone will call me and say Hey do you need…. That is just ignorant.

My grandmother needed an oxygen concentrator to allow her to go on vacation. When her concentrator did not arrive on the specified date Jillian Collazo went above and beyond to help set things straight. Not only did she reach out to us throughout the day on a weekend to update is on the progress she was making to track down the machine, she proactively called both FedEx and the cruise line to find a way to get my grandmother the machine she needed. She immediately sent it a second machine, to arrive the morning the cruise was set to leave, with no extra charge. The fact that she not only worked past her normal working hours to try to track down the package, she made sure to reach out and reassure us that she would find a solution. Gold star to Ms Collazo for her efforts.
They donot honor warranty . Three year warranty nothing but run around and are not a removable company. My mom was a customer for many years . Took s chance bought a large expensive item from Colonial and item needs repaired. Nope even with a three year warranty they wont honor. Each worker blames it indifferent ones and the manufacture will not fix product. So Colonial Medical just settled and ignored helping customer . Sad and never going back to do business.
To begin, my husband suffered a hand injury and we were directed by Jewett Orthopedic to take our RX to Colonial Medical Supplies because Blue Cross Blue Shield contracts through Care Centrix who uses Colonial Medical Supplies as their supplier. Upon arrival I was informed it could take approx. 45 minutes for them to receive authorization and we had the option to wait or they can contact us should we wish to go off but remain in the area. I advised we would await their call and get a bite to eat.Over an hour later, we return only to be told they still havent received an answer and werent sure how long it would be. They submit their requests through an online portal and dont place phone calls. Because we could not get a straight answer and spent over 2+ hours between the doctor visit, drive time then waiting for their customer service to assist us,...yes I chose to purchase the wrist splint for $50 and stated I would file a claim for reimbursement. I NEVER said to cancel my request as duhh I still need authorization/approval for insurance purposes. Colonial Medical.... you will be paid!!! So here it is day 2 and I call BCBS to discuss this mishap, I then contacted Colonial Medical supplies and spoke with an Alisa who advised they cancelled my RX since I made the purchase. I had to ask for a manager who Audra stated she was the Regional Manager and this is the corporate office and that she specifically told us it could take 2 to 3 days to process the RX. (Right,,, so thats why you have us sit in the waiting area for 45 mins). Audra was not only unprofessional and rude, she tried to take over the conversation and over talk me (the customer). I was never once rude or disrespectful, but i did clearly advise i will be contacting BCBS, Jewett Orthopedic and find someone above her to share this complaint.Horrible,,, horrible customer service!!! Seriously, call before you go and take names,, because it seems like a bunch of kids running the show. I feel sorry for the elderly or sick who seriously need help and having to deal with this type of service.

To my experience it was horrible take a prescription that gave me my orthopedic and they sent me another one that was not my prescription costing $ 163 and the one that I got to the house $ 485dolares I had to go to the store to take the one that I sent to me They gave the one that my doctor I recited that in the same supply it cost $ 168 with everything and that I had to pay of my pocket a 20% suestamente my primary insurance did not pay I passed the card to him of my second insurance and measures the employee that the insurance did not I paid it and that I had to pay call my insurance and think that if you pay at the end of the story everything that I told the employee pure story do not let themselves be beaten by the lavia of these people
Called them and talk to one of the staff, she told me that they have the equipment that Im looking, went to them and drove 20 mins. When I got there, one of the staff told me that she search the whole inventory and they dont have it. Terrible costumer service. Unless you dont have a choice, better take your business somewhere else.

I had a very disappointment experience, customer service was the worst and Averla was very unprofessional to guide on what i really need to buy, she was unable to provide me an answer about the different compression socks they have there, asked to talk to the supervisor and she say that she was the supervisor, and the manager in a very rude way, she was aggressive, disrespectful and did not help me in anything, besides she stays next to me the entire time i was in the store, she was annoying all the time, not even respect the fact im pregnant and need special help.
