These guys are great, the other day I went in without an appointment and needed a new tire. T hey informed me there would be a wait which I was fine with, after about 35-40min wait Eddie the manager took it upon himself to pull my car in and do it himself. Not every manager will get to their hands dirty so when a manager doesnt let his title get in the way of customer service I feel the need to make it noticed, well done Eddie, customer for life

This Pep Boys’ location always services both of my cars well. They provide quality service and products. It’s hard to trust car shops but I’ve had a great experience with them since I moved to this area. An employee named Eddie has helped me and my son a few times. I’m not sure if he’s a manager but if he isn’t, he should be. He’s friendly and helpful. Btw, they’re prices are competitive as well. Just put all new tires on both of my cars in the last year.

We had a few repairs done recently at Pep Boys and they treated us with great costumer service. Not to mention they quoted me the best price on my tires. Eddie at the counter was very profesional and courteous !

Even though they were busy yesterday they fit me in for 2 new tires, oil change, and alignment. Everyone was friendly and helpful with me being on a budget. I shopped around and they were one of the only spots in town with actual quality budget to high end tire options. Will be back for sure.

I don’t even know where to start with this place. The customer service is superior, the pricing is spectacular and the overall experience is amazing. I will drive miles and miles just for this one location to work on my car. The manager Bryant Harris is a miracle worker, big kudos to Pep Boys for having him on your team! Nathan is a pleasure! My mechanic Moises is the absolute best. And let’s not forget to mention that they covered the Lyft ride home and back while my car was being serviced. Best place to get you car fixed. Ask for Chris he knows everything and anything and gets the job done quickly and explains in detail what is wrong with the vehicle. If I could I would give them 10 stars. Bryant is a great manager if you have any issues or need more explaining.

After a visit at a dealership to get a brake service because we were told they needed to be done asap, we decided to go to pep boys instead, after an over the phone quote. Not only was the inspection free, but I received a call from Randy (one of the best customer service advisors) to inform us that my brakes were actually in perfect condition. He also offered to leave the car elevated to show us the brakes, pads and rotors to teach us. Randy is the absolute best teacher and customer advisor we have ever encountered when trying to get a service done to our vehicles, so from now on we will be returning to Pep boys for that same experience. Typically getting service on a car as someone with limited knowledge can be intimidating since often people are taken advantage of. It was a very honest and refreshing experience.THANK YOU RANDY.

I had a great experience at the Pep Boys, located at 1029 East Altamonte Drive in Altamonte Springs FL. I was greeted, promptly at my appointment time, by Bryant Harris . Mr. Harris was very helpful and knowledgeable about my vehicle. I purchased four new Cooper tires for my wifes car, and got an oil change . Mr. Harris helped me decide on the correct tires for my vehicle, and communicated with me throughout the entire process. This is now where I will bring all my vehicles, when needing service. Went in an had 4 new tires put on my truck an was due for an oil change so I went ahead an had them do that. The next day I drove to coco for work an realized they didn’t change my oil an charged me for it. I called an they said to bring it back so I did an they changed my oil then offered me a free oil change. So a couple months later my wife’s white van was due for an oil change so I brought it up there an they changed the oil but left oil smudge marks on both sliding doors that open an another big smudge on the hood. I called again an they said to bring it back which I did not cause I can’t justify having to keep goin back to a place that can’t get it right. Highly recommend to avoid this pep boys

Outstanding customer serviceLate on a Sunday afternoon, I discovered a leaking rear tire with very low pressure. Richie at Pep Boys told me to bring it over and he would put air in it and schedule me for Monday. It was close to closing and I was upset, but he was cordial and reassuring. The air held till I could bring it in Monday at 11 and he had it repaired by 1 PM. He called me to let me know it was ready. He took the time to show me how to check the air, even though at 67 I wont be doing that. I cant remember the last time I had service this efficient and humane. They have my business and my gratitude. (Randy was great too.)

I needed work done on my car so I took it to Pep Boys as I always do.Bryant did a great job checking me in and explaining all that needed to be done. And, since it was a 5hr job, offered me a Lyft ride so I could get back to my day. When the work was completed, they arranged another Lyft ride back to the shop to pick up the car. Rich reviewed the bill and answered all my questions before ringing me up. All in all they did a great job and treated me right.Ill be back the next time my car needs service!. THANKS Bryant & Rich!

Bryant was awesome! Although they were short handed, they diagnosed my tire issue quickly.

Stopped in for an oil and filter change like I always have in the past. I provide my own oil and filter because I require a high quality filter and oil. I also asked them to change the air filter and rotate the tires as I have also done in the past.I come back to pick up my vehicle only to find that they did not rotate my tires and they lost the three clips that hold my air filter housing top in place.I am mediately went back inside and talk to Randy at the service counter. We then went out and talk to the service tech is supposedly perform these operations.I was told they could not rotate the tires because they were cup and showed signs of that dry rot.There was absolutely no sign of dry rot on these tires and as far as the cupping goes on a four-wheel-drive truck that is when you rotate the tires.The tech further explain due to government regulation he would not rotate tires. I’m 50 years old have a class a CDL drivers license and no more about tires in anybody on the premises. My tires were in no way unsafe to rotate or unsafe to continue used in any position on my vehicle.The only reason I gave them two stars is because they did manage to change the oil and oil filter.I would highly suggest that you choose another location for your tire and service needs.

Will not be returning. Customer service was great, however the job itself was poorly done. My oil was overly filled when I got it changed, causing my check engine light to come on & my car to shake excessively.

My experience at this pep boys location was nothing short of amazing. The team here lead by Bryant was fantastic. John, Javon, and Will took care of my automobile in record time. They found a problem with not only a complicated lightbulb switch on my headlight but a melted wire that shorted out behind the lightbulb. My 70 year old mother had her car towed to PepBoys in Altamonte Springs on 5/10/2021. They told her she needed to pre-pay $1700 and that her car would be ready on 5/14/2021. On 5/14/2021 they said her car would be ready on 5/15/2021. On 5/15/2021 they told her Monday morning. Now they are not taking her phone calls. She called corporate and they said they will call her in 24 to 48 hours. I feel so badly for my Mom. This is a horrible experience

My name is Lisa and Im an independent contractor for Lyft. I was having problems with one of my tires not keeping air and the PepBoys location I normally go to had no availability today. I called this location to inquire about availability for my tire to be replaced or repaired and was told to bring the car in. Despite not having an appointment, my wait time was quite reasonable and the care taken was top-notch. I would definitely recommend using this PepBoys location for your automotive needs.

Ladies beware!! Took my car in for an electrical diagnosis. I specifically told the technician what was wrong with my car and asked if he could tell me the cause. They looked at everything but what I really wanted fixed, then claimed they had to charge me twice to do yet another diagnosis because they couldn’t find the problem the first go round (even though the car was still in their possession.) Attempted to overcharge me to have the work done. I left and went to Jiffy Lube and needless to say it was nearly half what they were trying to charge. Just plain dishonest and deceptive. Would not recommend.

I scheduled an appointment with Pep Boys to rotate and balance my tires since my steering wheel was shaking at high speeds. After they took off the tires, the service manager brought me back to the shop and proceeded to tell me I needed new tires since two of them were separated. He immediately launched into a sales spiel about specials and the Pep Boys card. He brought me over to the computer and went through different sets of tires he could sell me that day. I have a warranty on my tires at another store and declined. He refused to balance and rotate my tires and I left with nothing done to my car after waiting for an hour. Went to the shop I have the warranty with and I only needed a balance. So this service manager was trying to upsell tires I didnt need (mine are only 3 years old) and refused service after I declined to purchase the unneeded tires. AND they missed the nail that was in my tire.

I took my car in to have a diagnostic done because my passenger side rear window would not roll up, they did the diagnostic and told me that the window regulator would need to be replaced so I had them order it. I was told by a representative there that the part would be ordered and that it would take two days for the part to come, I even prepaid for the part and labor, I asked if there is a chance the car should be done in 2 days and the representative said that it should be done in two days. Two days later I get a call informing me that the part has not arrived yet and that it should be here in one more day and that the car should be ready that same day. The next day I get a call telling me that the window regulator was replaced but that they broke my interior door handle so they had to order an interior door handle for my back passenger door to put on, I was told that this should be all done the next day. The next day I had to call late in the afternoon and ask if my car was ready, the representative that picked up the phone checked and told me that it was. I would not recommend this shop as they showed carelessness with handling a customer’s vehicle and they took longer than I was told they would, I know that these things take time but I would rather be told if there is a chance that it may take longer than expected, than to not be told this. I was without a car for more days than I was expecting based off of what I was told by the representative.

Late review- We went Pepboys about 2 months ago. We went at the end of the day, near closing, due to a flat tire. Spoke to Richie. Even at closing, he squeezed us in. Then even better, he came to tell us the tire just had a screw in it and it repairable. He could have still charged us for a new tire, but instead, he saved us some money and just fixed the tire. So far, the tire is holding up. We were very grateful for Richie’s kindness. We’ll be back when ever we need to.

Bought a set of Cooper tires for my car, one was defective. They gave me bs excuses and and refused to replace it. The front desk guy was very rude and disrespectful too.

Went to the one in altamonte to get battery charged but since its a free service they were unwilling to just charge the battery and were forcing me to get the battery changed even though I had a new battery installed recently.After that I went to another place in longwood and they charged the battery as requested.Avoid this place at any cost.

The other pep boys in altamonte was very unhelpful and had absolute terrible service, we took the tires we got from the other one and brought them here, Bryant was very nice and apologetic for the other pep boys being absolutely terrible and got our car into service right away and called the district manager for us. I needed 3 tires for 2 different vehicles. One of those tires wasnt going to be delivered till Monday leaving my wife and new borm baby without a vehicle while I was at work that would be for 24 hrs. Kendell took it upon himself to personally get the tire on his time and deliver it so I could have all the work done in one day. I will be back for the customer service. Been here multiple times in the past for small things, but when my new car (2016) started giving me some issues and wouldnt start up without jumper cables, I decided to give them a shot.I was greeted at the counter and explained that my new, one week old battery, wasnt fitting the positive clamp properly resulting in zero charging of the battery.The kind man at the front counter went to the back and returned with a mechanic named Will to take a quick glance at it. Will was able to identify the issue quickly and said the clamp was worn and only the dealership would have the replacement for it. Regardless of those facts, he tried fixing it anyway and ended up using a tool to tighten the connection while tightening the bolt.In five minutes, Will fixed something that I did not have the tools for at home and was kind enough to take time out of his busy day to help a semi-regular customer.Thanks to him and the good service I received here, I will always be shopping and getting my car serviced at this Pep Boys!Thank you Will, you are a good and honest mechanic! And thank you to the man at the counter for his excellent customer service!

This store has the best staff hands down, Kurt is always professional, knowledgeable and ready to help, Bill is friendly and always greeting you at the door, Karina is ALWAYS willing to help and knows the location of every product in the store and Ritchie in the service department always takes the time say hello, he makes sure youre taken care of and gets you in and out without a hitch. I wont visit any other auto parts because of this great staff at the Altamonte location.

Went in with a need to check and recharge my cars AC. Was given helpful suggestion when I asked which recharge was best (there were 3 different brands). Upon purchasing the suggested brand, the clerk walked with me to the car and showed me how easy it would be to use. That made me feel more comfortable with my purchase. And he was right! Even though I read the directions and watched the manufacturers YouTube video, the customer service and help made this a great purchase. Glad I stopped at Pep Boys.

I bought a tire at this location thinking that a friend would be able to put it on my car for me and when that fell through I was able to bring the car in, immediately, and they put it on quickly. It was storming like crazy outside and they did all this for me, in the pouring rain, and smiled and were so kind and generous to me the whole time. I was floored by how awesome this experience was, truly. Sincerely thinking of making everyone cookies! I will absolutely go back again and recommend this store to everyone.

Great pricing on tires especially when ordered online for pickup. Otherwise, Just don’t count on them having the tires ready or in stock even when alerted via email that tires are ready for pickup. They hunt for the tires when you get there and almost always you’ll get tossed around to 2-3 difference faces. Some of the employees seem friendly and helpful, others seem irritated by your presence. Pep boys really needs to restructure the pickup process, too inefficient and chaotic amongst the employees when handling it.Ordered a set months ago. When I got theThey had them in stock but it took a good hour for them to hunt around the store for all 4. Latino guy there was very helpful and friendly, tried chatting me up as he knew I was there a while. Helped me load the tires into my car.Recently order 2 tires. Received an email saying they were ready for pickup. Come in and once again they start hunting for them. Turned out they probably had them but couldn’t find them. After an hour I told them to call me once they find the tires as I had to go. Got a call from the manager I believe where he told me they were going to source from other stores and that I’ll be called when they’re in. Never got the call, order got automatically canceled after a week.

Stopped in today to get my tire plugged. Had a rough day as we traveled 3 hours from home for a sports tournament. Was already late, then 15 minutes from where I need to be-flat tire!! Get it changed and head to Pep boys to get it plugged. They were amazing!! So helpful!! Made it back home and safe thanks to them!!

Great experience at Pep Boys. I went into this location this am due to a screw in my tire. Within minutes Richie had already greeted me, assessed my needs, and had taken my keys and started to put my vehicle into the bay. Once there Nick started to go to work fixing my tire. Once he patched the one tire he even checked my others to make sure i didnt have any other nails in the rest. The whole process was very quick and i was in an out in no time. I was very impressed and actually plan to go back on Friday for an oil change and tune up. Thank you Pep Boys for the exceptional service and shout out to Richie and Nick for a job well done :)

Good stock of parts..

My car warranty is contracted with pepboys, therefore I get my services completed with this company.  In the past 2 months I have had to take my car in for repairs 3 different times all with in a week apart. The second time was in the result if a defective fan. This last time however was because my check engine light came on 4 days after a repair where a diagnostic check was performed on the previous 2 checks and with the 3rd drop off a leak is suddenly discovered. This location has personally made a very bad lack of attentiveness. This has been the most frustrating situation for me to keep having to deal with car issues. Each time they have serviced my car they have had it for several hours so there was no immediate rush.  But I will not be back to this location and will be leaving a very detailed review on every website I can find about this experience.The communication lacks as well. Every time I have had work done I have had to keep calling for updates

I have a 2013 Chevy sonic that was leaking coolant and nobody was able to fix it or find the leak. Kendall was able to figure it out and did an amazing job. He also provided great costumer service.

Tech destroyed my water pump casing. Had to machine a new one. Stranded for 5 days. In the end you guys had to eat over 1000 bucks in costs. Great managers tho!

The first store in Longwood was a complete nightmare. I decided to give Pep Boys another shot just at another location,went to Altamonte location. I was immediately greeted and taken care of by Richie. He informed me of what was currently going on and would have the next available guy to change my oil. I sat in their nice waiting area maybe 20 mins.. he came and checked on me. My normal car routine care will still be handled by Pep Boys just only at the Altamonte location. Thank you Richie for keeping me a loyal customer and making this situation better.

I used Pep Boys because I was easily able to book an appointment online with a friendly rep.My appointment was at 10am. At 10:45 I was told I would be given my oil change at 50% off due to having to wait so long.20 mins later my car was taken back. The mechanic told me my cabin air filter needed to be replaced. He pointed to the amount of the printed invoice which showed $44.99. I was under the understatement that the $44.99 was the total due ... NOT what the Air filter itself cost!Cabin air filters are $14 and you can install them yourself! I would never pay $44.99 for one. And to top it off they charged $13.50 for labor to install it!!!So my $49 oil change which I was told would be 50% off.. so $25... turned into an $81 charge!VERY DISAPPOINTED.They tried to act like they were helping me & being apologetic that I had to wait so long & instead they added a $58 markup on me...

I really appreciate everything that James does for our family and our 4 vehicles. We trust him to keep us on the road without breaking the bank. We will continue to use Pep Boys in Altamont Springs.

Took my truck in for brake job as I have 60k miles on the brake pads. They inspected pads and said we are still good. Cost, just my time. That is good customer service.

I had a great experience with the staff & service today at the Pep Boys in Altamonte Springs. They were helpful and knowledgeable about the issue with my vehicle. They fixed the issue in a timely manner and I would highly recommended this establishment!

Went there last night because I had an emergency flat tire situation but I filled the tire to almost 40 psi and took it there because it was closest. It was holding the air. They said they checked the tire and nothing wrong with it they said it was holding air at 30 pounds told them it was losing air because I had filled it to almost 40. They said they couldnt find anything wrong. So I left and it was late so I figured maybe I was wrong. Get to work and tire is almost flat. So there is something wrong with it and of the three employees that were there last night none of them could figure it out......a tire. I will never go to a Pep boys again. In my opinion if they cant figure out why a tire is going flat then what else do they not know how to do? Now I have to spend extra time and money today to get this taken care of. If they had been competent that time and money could have been spent in their store as a loyal customer. Now I hope no one goes there.

Went to get a tire plugged do to a nail and it turned out the nail did not make it through the tire, the staff was completely honest with me and did not charge me for time. I appreciate their honesty in a time when its hard to trust any auto repair shop. Will definitely return again!
