Amazing customer service and experience. Went out of his way to accommodate our group and help us get going. Bikes are in amazing shape, we made it almost to the top of Mt Wilson and still had 60% battery left on the ebikes. Really fun experience, must try.

If you want to have some extreme fun, you are at a right place. We rented two ebikes for local trails and we were able to climb all the way to top of Mt. Wilson for the first time. I have been riding mountain bikes for many years and was never able to ride all the way to the top. Ebike gives you that extra strength and extreme workout. The bikes preformed flawlessly. We came in just for the experience but ended up loving it! Will definitely try E biking again, makes going up hill a totally different experience. Dave was super helpful and shared a lot of good tips with us, as well as introducing us to the E biking world. It was an awesome valentines day experience for both me and my boyfriend !

My son and I tried to find mountain bike rentals in the area and struck out. One shop pointed us here for an e-bike rental instead. We felt guilty climbing the local trails sans sweat, but that didnt stop us. So glad we found this option. The guy was super helpful and friendly. The bikes were in perfect working order and a lot of fun.

Called the shop up in desperation for an event to do with my wife and 3 kids as a Covid-19 activity. Dave took the time to answer all my questions and texts along with suggested videos to watch. We finally jumped in and rented e-bikes to go up to Inspiration Point. Dave took us all the way to the head of the trail to make sure everyone learned how to ride an e-bike and the route. He even took a couple of panic calls early on to make sure we were headed the right direction. The experience was insane, never in a million years did I think we would get to the top and it was a workout but not painful. We got back with a huge smiles and a unanimous “let’s do this again!” We decided to save up and buy e-bikes for the family. Dave took the time to get us into the best bikes we could afford and we are ever grateful we stayed local and didn’t just buy online...can’t wait for our next adventures!

My 71 year old father was visiting from Maine and loves e-biking. The two of us took a day to rent a couple e-bikes from David and we had the most INCREDIBLE DAY. Im 29 and my father is 71 and this was a physical activity that BOTH of us had a blast doing. The entire staff was friendly & helpful. Dave even rode with us to the opening of the Open Trails where we then went off on our own for a couple hours. Dave was so gracious and accommodating. He made sure we had his phone number and water. The e-bikes were easy to use, fun, safe and now my dad and I plan on going every time he visits! We cannot thank this group enough for creating such a wonderful day for us and for this experience.

This is the best place in LA if you are looking for a mountain biking experience. I could just go in and rent a top quality full suspension electric mountain bike for $75 for the whole day. Staff is super nice, they showed me around the area and gave me great advice on which trails to go. I went to Mount Wilson on the old scenic railroad route and it was fantastic.Come here folks, they have the freakin mountains in their backyards!

2 Words--DAVE BROW... He is a big reason why I am now flying around in an awesome Haibike with my brothers. Something that we havent done since we were kids. never mind the obvious benefits of exercise for physical and mental health but the other things you get from being out on different trails a week and feeling like a kid again is priceless. Thanks Dave for helping us out and allowing us to have the adventures we used to have!

Dave is a great guy and the shop front is super cool, especially with the bunny museum next store. He helped us to four really nice pedal assisted MTN bikes for a great price. With Dave guiding us to the base, we were off into the climb of nearby Eaton canyon as fast as I had hoped. My brother even crashed into me getting there and Dave was more concerned about him than the bike. Thats good people.Super fun, price is right, go climb a mountain with ease.

Dave, Steve and both Mikes are all awesome guys! They will always tell you the truth and never BS you on Sales/Services (Ive been dealing with them for 3 years). So great brought two sons who are vastly different in stamina, but we all had a blast just cruising up to Henniger Saddle and back in 90 minutes. Unbelievable views. Never broke a sweat, but still some level of technical challenge. Great family experience.

I had a great experience purchasing my Haibike from OpenTrails last year, but hadnt ridden it as much as I could. I called because I was having trouble with the size of the bike (Im short). The owner was very friendly, told me to bring it in. I thought I was going to have to take a loss on this bike, but David made some adjustments while we waited and then waited while I rode it around. The bike now fits me like a glove. I highly recommend them for your e-bike needs; sales or rentals.

Im 65 and a newbie and when I went on a local hunt for a full suspension eBike in Bend Oregon there was no local option. So went online and discovered Open Trails eBike in Pasadena and after three or four iterations of mountain bike options....Mike and Dave put me on the CRAZIEST most AWESOME eBike and they even shipped it to me in Oregon. Cant wait for the snow to clear...Ive even picked my first trail.

These bikes are fantastic! David and Mike gave me excellent customer service, even a couple of beginner lessons, and they have a great location not far from the foot of Mt Wilson on Lake and Altadena Dr.I bought a Haibike AllMtn 2.0 e-mtn-bike, and in just a few weeks, Ive lost weight and feel great. With one of these e-mtn-bikes anyone can get up the mountains! A 90 minute weekday evening ride up to Henninger Flats or on the Cheney Trail is a great workout, scenic, and fun!The bikes full suspension makes the ride very comfortable both going up and down. The strong and precise brakes and huge tires give you riding confidence going downhill, and yet the bike is very nimble, and makes turns easily. The Haibike designs are great, and the tires and parts are of high quality. The Open Trails EMTB shop has a good selection of these machines and good prices. You can also rent for a day to try an e-mtn-bike out, and at a very friendly and unique bike shop, thats worth checking out!

As a visitor to the area, I was able to hire an Ebike and I was shown the interesting trails behind Altadena by David and Michael. Just what I was looking for! Fantastic outings in the mountain! I brought my son in law on one occasion and he loved it. Cannot wait to do one or two more before I leave. Great chat with Mike at the shop as well. They are all very knowledgeable and I would definitively buy my Ebike from them if I was a local resident. Open Trails is doing a great job to promote Ebikes to the level where they belong. Hard to imagine an ebike retailer and tour leader more disrespectful to all than one who still sends customers into the forest in the hope that one of them will get cited by and sue the USFS.Needlessly argumentative on repairs. Still has much to learn about retailing, repairs, and the importance of setting a proper leadership example.
