Always has trucks available when I need 1 & the storage is awesome because they will put your deliveries in your unit for you amongst other convenient services they offer! Tricky location if youre needing to turn left onto Cicero upon exit.

I called today and spoke with Diana to get a hitch installed asap because of an unexptected moving issue. She was able to find the part and has her own team driving to get the part at another location and is installing it first thing in the morning on New Years Eve! She was great to work with and very helpful in making the adjustments for me in a pinch!

I had a very bad experience. I made reservations for a one way truck at the Alsip, IL location. I get to the Alsip location and the staff tells me that I had to go to another location (Oaklawn, IL) to get a truck. Once I made it to the Oaklawn location, staff there advised me that the truck was local and I had to bring it back. The Gentleman at the Oaklawn location (I believe his name was Montell) then made reservations for me to go to another location that was 16 minutes away to pick up a one way truck. I eventually just settled for the local truck at Oaklawn, because I had no desire traveling to a 3rd Uhaul. I was not accommodated in anyway. I will note that Montell at the Oaklawn, IL location was very nice and tried to help me out but my issue was beyond his control.This is the 2nd time I had an issue with Uhaul. Uhaul will be my last resort moving forward.

I’ve been a customer at this UHaul location for about a year and I’m incredibly impressed with how clean the facilities are and how great the staff is. Especially compared to other self-storage locations. The bathroom in the storage building is always so clean and sparkly—no spots or dirty fingerprints anywhere. The cleaning lady is very detailed, I’ve even seen her disinfecting the walls. Very impressive! I highly recommend this place for all of your storage needs.

DO NOT USE THE UHAUL UPOD SERVICE. There is absolutely no communication from Uhaul’s end on when they are picking up the POD, where they are dropping it off, or when they are dropping it off. It is the most disorganized service. On the front end of my move, I spent hours going to the store/calling Uhaul to ensure that they were coming to get my POD. It was less than 24 hours before my move and Uhaul “could not confirm that I had a delivery time the next day,” which is when I needed to move out….even though I had gone into a Uhaul location to move the reservation. At that point, I was skeptical that they would deliver it to the right place (since there seemed to be no organization), so I had them repeat back to me (and enter into the case notes) exactly where the POD needed to be dropped off at my address in Illinois. Somehow, they still managed to send my POD to a Uhaul location that wasn’t “the correct drop off district for my address” Even though I gave Uhaul the correct address, they told me that they didn’t have any drivers to come and deliver the POD to me since it was not “in their district.” I wish I was kidding when I say I spent a week actively calling Uhaul customer service, trying to find someone who would help me because the location of the store that had my Uhaul POD in Alsip, IL did not care. I finally found a manager at their corporate office in Phoenix named Nathan who helped me get my POD a week late. After working with Nathan for the last week, I finally just a got refund for this terrible experience. I appreciate Uhaul providing me with a full refund, but I would not recommend this service to anyone.

The staff was really helpful and polite and for that I gave 4 stars. However, I reserved online to pick up my truck by 3:30 and didnt leave the place until 4:30!! The process of registering a customer is incredibly long. Not only that, the key scanner machine wasnt functioning properly so the girl working there had to run outside to see if my scan card for the storage unit worked. Meanwhile, there is a line of impatient customers. I had a sitter until only 5 and wasnt able to get much done after leaving and still was expected to return it by 7 even though an hour of my time was wasted. I assumed reserving online would ha e saved me time but NOPE.

I have been a loyal customer of U-Haul for over 4 years. During my visit at this location my business felt unwanted. I was late returning my U-Haul on 02/22/2019 and the manager Diana Rios actually yelled at me! She informed me I will be on a e- list or something. I reframed from any confrontation at the location but I was completely embarrassed. Is this how U-Haul does business? Is this how you allow managers to treat loyal customers? Nevertheless, I asked the associate Jimmy Martinez why is she yelling at me. His response was Do you know Jerome?. I vaguely remember the associate that worked for U-Haul, but I have no idea on how this corresponds to my transaction. He told me if you know Jerome then thats the problem. Eager to know more I asked What did Jerome do and how does that affect me?. He told me Jerome was fired for taking in a damaged van. First of all, I never rented a van from U-Haul so I was completely baffled. Secondly, any equipment I rented was never turned in damaged. Thirdly, I always purchase the protection plan for $14.00. His response was Well you know him!. Really U-Haul!!! After years of spending money with you guys. I spent thousands with you guys and this is the treatment I get. This is completely unacceptable. I will be reaching out to the better business bureau if this issue is not resolved. I expected so much more and to get yelled at and treated so poorly. You guys need to reevaluate the leadership at your Alsip, IL location or you definitely will lose business. You definitely lost a customer here!!! If you would like to hear more about this transaction, please call me. Please do not waste your money here, they treat you like trash!!!!! dont Make it your lose.

Diana from the Alsip location was the worst “manager” to talk to after sharing our major concerns. She was inconsiderate and gave us horrible customer service. They gave me the wrong trailer for my sports car (after I gave them the model and make). I had a deadline to drive across the country. I drove my car to their facility to be sure it was the correct size. There were three men working when I arrived and no one shared how to use the trailer. It was terrible Inconvenience for my driver side window having to be down in order to load and unload it onto the trailer. I drove the trailer and my car in terrible weather elements and now there is damage to my car and myself because they gave me the wrong trailer size. Also when I spoke to customer service when making the reservation and confirming with the men on site I asked if I could turn in the truck and trailer earlier and they said yes and I would only be charged the days I used. That was a another terrible lie, they still charged me a full week. Never rent or go to this Uhaul. They obviously do not want to make things right or care enough to ensure your valuables are safe.

This facility is located by train tracks which might explain the rodent problems experienced and why theres no dumpster on location. Granted, nice helpful staff. I have used this company many times and in many states but dont recommend this location due to rodents.

Friendly, helpful, and positive staff. Ive had a storage unit at this location for almost two years. Im there on a regular basis, staff always waves or says hello.More than once Ive walked in already in a bad mood or annoyed, and the manager Max (I believe) always does what ever he can to resolve the issue, hes always calm and polite, but much more importantly because of his helpful demeanor my initially poor mood dissolves. To put it simply, the staff are just good people.

57 billon stars!!!! A++!!! They are the best of the best. I have rented trucks many times from them. They make the process so so easy. Good customer service consistently. Today I rented a 7 foot open trailer. Everything went fine. The Uhaul guy scanned the trailer when I returned it and sent me a quick email receipt. They make everything very quick and easy. I am so grateful. Such good customer service. Thank you guys very much.

Terrible customer service. The people that work here especially the tall guy with short dreads are so ignorant! When a customer asks you about your equipment and you tell them you dont know but they can figure it out themselves that is just pure laziness. I have never seen more ignorant and ghetto people all in one place. The management is just as bad and to allow your employees to talk loudly on the phone to there friends while using the n word over and over again is not good business. Go anywhere else but here if you need to rent from u haul!

Picked up truck on Friday afternoon. Personal explained everything. Got out to truck to leave. It was dirty outside and inside. Smelled from smoke. Windows were filthy. Still had marks from previous user where they stuck gps on window. Floor was dirty from trash left from previous user. Had to stop at gas station to wash windows because could not see when sun was shinning thru. Very disappointed with there service.

Just to note, neither of us got loud nor were unprofessional at any point. Very very frustrated and contacted corporate to notify them of my experience.I paid for a hitch install online and scheduled the appointment for a Thursday. I get called the day before to be notified that they need to reschedule me for Saturday because the hitch has not arrived yet. They recommended for me to call on Friday to make sure it arrived for my Saturday appointment. I thought that was odd because usually the business calls to confirm or to reschedule incase of any shipping delays like they did that day. I call Friday at noon, I was told it had not arrived yet but to call later (odd again) but I called anyway and was told it had arrived. I show up for my 9 am appointment to drop off myvehicle. I received a call 1.5 hours later to notify me that my hitch had not arrived yet so it will be a few extra hours because they had to pick up from an Indiana location. I called as soon as I heard voicemail, I kept getting their overflow call center but no one at that location. I expressed my frustration of not only scheduling my appointment but also not notifying me upon arrival. She tried justifying the error by saying the labor price I paid online was less than what they charge. I reminded her that nothing was disclosed to me upon arrival. After a few minutes she said she would make it right for me once I pick up my vehicle. I just asked for a phone call once installation was completed and she said she would. Six hours later and no call, I called and was apologized to and told my hitch installation was completed 15 minutes prior to me calling but were really busy I just said no big deal I waited enough we will discuss this once I arrive. Upon arrival I was handed my keys and told to have a great evening. I reminded her (manager) of our phone conversation that we had and she said there wasnt anything she can do because when I paid for hitch and installation I was only charged for 30 minutes of labor cost and not the 1.5 hours that it takes. She tried referring back to the contract that I had signed upon arrival but I had to explain the contract to her, if additional hours were required they had to be disclosed to me upon arrival with any additional cost before proceding and they needed my signature to do so. We kept going back and forth on the matter for about 20 minutes, we were both frustrated with one another and then she said she would refund me $20. I didnt say anything anymore because I just wanted to leave at that point, horrible experience and even worse handling my resolution.

Rented a 10 foot truck in alsip. I am currently standing at a car wash in calumet park unable to get the truck. Called Alsip location for help. Gentleman i spoke with was polite but absolutely useless except suggesting he find me another truck at another location . I was dropped off here because the truck i rented in alsip is not in alsip but calumet park. So i can see the truck but the system, not alsips system because theirs is working, is not working here. So if you rent a truck in alsip you might end up standing outside a car wash in calumet park with nothing. Nice way to waste my time. Never go here unless you want more stress and no truck.

I made a reservation for a 15 truck to use to move into a new apartment with my wife. This location did not have the truck I reserved and I was forced to go to another location to get what I wanted. This is the second time that I have tried a reservation with this location. And the second time that they have dissappointed me. I will be going with another service in the future.

Great quick service. There was a lady in here last time I stopped in here to drop off a truck complaining and being extremely rude. It sounded like the problem was out of the hands of the workers so I wouldnt hold it against them. Took 5 minutes for me to get a truck and 5 minutes to return it.

Worst Costomer service and it was from Management! Max (the Manager) informed me that placing a hitch on my car would take approximately 3 hours. I dropped my car off and told him I would be in the area because I didnt have a ride. I came back 3 hours later not only was car not done they didnt even call me to tell me that they were having troubles with the wiring and would take longer. The Manager was rude and vague and it was like pulling teeth to get a time out of him so I can pick up my car. 3 and 1/2 hours later I have to call again only to find out its still not complete. After 8 hours and no communication they said my car is ready. I go to pick up my car and the airbag light is on!!! They messed up the wiring In my car and told me to come back tomorrow cause it was late for them!!!!!! I should mention that I am 5 months pregnant and the UHaul representative at a different location informed me that my airbags could deploy at anytime!!! They just put my life and my unborn childs life at risk! Dont ever use UHaul for any services!!
