He transformed these threadbare but treasured pieces. Now the sofa is a centerpiece for our living room, in a gorgeous autumn floral pattern. He brought the chairs to life again -- sturdy, comfortable, and beautiful in blue ribbed silk, as the family gathers round the dinner table. Reasonable cost and turnaround time, an extremely good value.

I first hired Assaf about ten years ago and was absolutely blown away by his work. He refurbished an antique French desk I bought for a song and made it look like it could be in a museum. When I recently inherited my Great-Grandfathers rocking chair it was in terrible condition and I immediately thought Assaf would be able to make it presentable again. In fact, he restored it to perfection. He actually rebuilt the whole thing and replaced some old pleather with real leather. My Great-Aunt, who had so many fond memories of the chair was very pleased with the work and thankful that I knew someone good to restore it. I would highly recommend him. He is a real professional and a true artisan who seems to love his work and respects good craftsmanship.

Mr. Assaf did an incredible job on restoring my antique rocker and settee. The pieces belonged to my great grandmother and passed down to me. The rocker was nothing but a frame that had been previously stripped and the settee had been in a barn for 50 plus years. He took the pieces and restored them to better than new condition. Im over the moon thrilled with my furniture. It could not have been done without his care and expertise. He was timely, very nice to deal with, top quality workmanship, and a reasonable price. Highly recommend for your treasures.

When I inherited a rocking chair that had been in my family for five generations, I was sad that I might never be able to use it and it might not last another generation, because one of the wooden spokes that supported its legs was broken beyond repair, not to mention the damage done by cat scratches on the finish. Assaf Antiques fixed it perfectly, for a very reasonable price, and now not only can I use it, but so can generations to come!( Note: I also posted this review on Yelp using my wife’s account.)
