I loved the concept of Dirt Cheap when they first came to Allen. It was fun to roam through the junk and even find useful junk. Sometimes really useful junk in really good shape. But now, somehow the store management has decided that they dont have to maintain anything. Many aisles are shut down or blocked off, there are aisles you cant even get through because of junk all over the floor, and its just not the same experience as it was originally. It is almost dangerous to be in some areas. I get the motif of the store, but it just doesnt do it for me anymore.

Love this place. Yes they have quite a selection of junk but you can also find great deals and amazing products. You never know what you might find at this place!

Employees seem to make up the prices depending on if they like your looks or theyve just given one of their buddies a super deal the customer in front of me was laughing and bragging about what she paid for her items. This cashier was a bit if a b$&+h, very unpleasant and unprofessional, 😫

Sign on the door said theyre closing for good on September 24th. I can see why.Nothing about this store is dirt cheap so save your time. The employees literally make up prices depending on if they like you. I wish I was kidding. I watched my cashier individually type in all of the prices for every product. This caused the process to be quite long for myself and others, and the prices to be quite horrible by Dirt Cheaps standards. She tried to charge me $57 for a coat thats $57 at JC Penny. They based the price off of the manufacturer suggested retail price, which is always incredibly high. I cant think of one product in a retail setting that actually sells for MSRP. Not to mention the coat was in a $5 section! I can understand if this was simply misplaced, but it was joined by SEVERAL other coats so I cant imagine that was simply a coincidence. When raising this with the cashier, she said no, its not.Also, I know its not surprising for a Dirt Cheap to be unorganized, but this one in particular was pretty disgusting. I have seen nicer Dirt Cheaps in much lower income areas, that of which this is not.We are evacuating for Hurricane Ida and our trip has been mostly great. However, this was an awful experience. If its true they are shutting down, good riddance.

Absolutely disgusting. Nothing is organized and the whole store smells horrible. There are broken products on the shelves and everything is dirty. It was not what I was expecting. A thrift store in Arkansas is more put together than this place.

Pretty cool place, you have to know what you want. My girlfriend bought a huge Samsung smart TV for $100.

Great dirt cheap but hours have changed, they close at 6pm on weekdays. We drove out from Addison to find it closed.

Lots of digging. Often a challenge to found out prices. They will ask you to log in an app to scan the merchandise, probably my first time I’ve heard of it.

If you like digging this place is for you. You can find hairball paste for cats among skin care products or half of somebodys cookie in basket with cosmetics. I guess this place NEED person who can teach staff how to organize space 😁

HORRIBLE PLACE! Couldnt even walk without having to step over stuff that was laying on the floor. Employees were horrible! I repeat EMPLOYEES WERE HORRIBLE!!! 2 cashiers walked away from us when we were ready to check out and kept pointing at each other to see which one was gonna check us out and neither one budged! Drove 30 minutes to get to this location and will never be back. I hope this place gets shut down!!!! 😡🤬

The most rude manager ;today July 3 at 12 noon;Asher for a price tag on an item and he scanned and said $17;I picked up another of same and on checkout associate said it was $21 eachCalled manager to clarify and he said no it is $21Asked why he said $17 just 5 minutes - he said I should not shop here then!!! Without a word that he made a mistake etc

It was the worse experience. The cashier was making prices up as we were checking out. He did not take anything serious was joken around it took us about 30 minutes to check out. There was nothing cheap about that place. It was extremely dirty. Never will my family go back. The other employee was on the phone. Left the register with several people in line.

Most stuff is broken .but u can find deals. Mostly junk.candies & some snacks decent.

Disgusting. Completely disorganized. All the clothes are mixed together with no sense of order at all. They are packed so tightly you can barely look at whats on the rack... and a ton of clothes are on the floor. There are boxes full of junk everywhere in the store. The floors are dirty. Dressing rooms are full of boxes of junk so you cant try on clothes. Its been like this for months.. the past couple times Ive been there its just awful. It feels like the store is never cleaned. It looks like a tornado blew through and nobody cleaned the aftermath. Needs to be gutted and restarted. Wont be going back ever.

The store is a mad house. If you are into looking over stuff and finding good deals than this store is it. I found a Makita circular saw in the box for 23 bucks. Brand new they go for about 90. Interested to see what new things they get every week. I would most likely be coming back to look for more power tools.

So the store is pretty dirty and theres alot of expired items, the only thing this location has is cheap items and 1 friendly cashier. I wish I would of caught her name but she really deserves a raise. She was working pretty much on her own and I think this location needs better management, that can schedule people correctly or hire more reliable people.

I love this store! You can buy things like clothes, shoes, over the counter medicines, tools to build with, appliances and more in this store. I didnt see food items but with the savings on the items in this store, you can go to the supermarket and buy the food!

I love dirt cheap!! Found winter boots for $1 price was $40, found me countless of shirts for $1 or $2. My $150 king comforter needing for $30. Lots of holiday goodies when items go for 10 for $1! The only neg would be the mess all the time. Other than that love the store!

I am typically a fan of Dirt Cheap, so I’ve given this one a few tries. In general, this location is a bit unorganized. You’ll find some great hidden gems and a wide selection of Target and Gap clothing. Just prepare to dig a little.

I love dirt cheap, its hit or miss sometimes but its still a cool place to check out. I always seem to find cool deals here and come home with something very interesting. You never really now what your gonna come across but I love the challenge.

Went for the first time and the place was a total mess. Nothing was organized at all. Stuff was just thrown on shelves. Alot of broken things. I couldnt get out of there fast enough. It was nothing more than a thrift store but worse.

Basically its like a mix of Goodwill, Big Lots, and a garage sale that has a lot of the same item.

We were looking forward to going in here until we walked in. The Allen location is beyond cluttered and dirty. My daughter was excited and was the first ready to leave. We don’t mind thrifting but this was too horrible to enjoy. Broken items, used tools out for sale and just disorganized. But maybe that is the point. Are all the locations the same?

Dirt Cheap has it! it might take a little time and effort but the bargains are unbelievable. Before you buy for ANY holiday, check here first. They always have a great stock of party and gift ideas.Ive included a picture of a faux fur huge throw I got for $7! I priced it for over $60 elsewhere. From baby bottle to bowling shoes, Ive seen it in this store.

As always the prices are great. Cashier was extremely polite! If they would just do something about the interior condition of the store. It is near impossible to navigate through without getting stuck...

My issue is price. They have cool things and its set up for a satisfying hunt, but the prices are discordant with the setting. I didnt Google and check, but I wouldnt expect yo pay $40 for a so-so lawn chair or $15 mid size flower pot. I wound up putting everything back. Great location and wonderful staff, but no. Places like Piggly Wiggly, and presumably this, take advantage of the discount store reputation and neighborhood locale, where many may not have much other choice. The onus is on the buyer to be a smart consumer, but the company shouldnt flirt with deception. That said, if things were 30% less, Id be happier. Maybe it was an off day. 3 stars means Ill try again.

Gave them 1 star! The person who checked us out was very rude and huffed at every turn. My daughter asked her if she was ok, she huffed and very rudely told her no. The store was in such disarray that all the customers had to coordinate with each other to get up and down the aisles. I know that is a discount store and it can not be 100% in appearance but this was really bad. Some of my items did not match the advertisements. I would recommend skipping this location and try somewhere else until they get there act together.

This store isnt for everyone. You have to dig to hopefully find something you want. Typically, you dont come here to shop for items on a list. You never know what you will find. I highly recommend never to purchase electronics as all sales are final. Look for the items that are marked 80% or more down. This is how you get great deals. They also have an app you can use to scan items to get the cost. Its definitely a mess but if you can look passed this then you may come home with a great deal!

This place sells NEW items at a discount that other main stream stores (think Target) couldn’t get rid of. It was fun looking around this place, and there were some good deals. But you have to be careful. Some of their base prices (that they use and then advertise a discount off of that) are a little high and makes the final price the same or more than what you could pay at a super store or the original retail store where it was available (again, think Target). It’s also a little dirty in hear... not quite the literal interpretation of their name I was expecting.

My 1st visit about a month ago was great! There was a good selection of items and I bought a good quality Champion brand winter jacket that I love! However Im giving a 3 rating based on my most recent visit on the day after Christmas where typically stores have great sales. I didnt see anything I could use or ANY super great deals that I couldnt live without and the product selection was very slim.

This was my first visit. Im a little disappointed that the commercials show nice stuff and organized. This place was worse than most second hand thrift stores Ive been in. They actually had a nasty greeced up toaster oven. GROSS!! The store was in total disarray, things so broken, why even purchase it? The manager was talking to an employee about a purchase he made and talking about stealing at the front of the store in front of everyone checking out. Very unprofessional. Wont go there again, but might check out another location before I totally give up on Dirt Cheap.

Bad attitude lady at night. she was a large white lady with red hair and glasses.when asking for help she commented it was near closing. maybe your should pretend to be nice up until closing instead of complaining about closing where customers can hear.then you close your register early even after another employee asked if that were a smart idea even when there were 8 people in line.not a fun experience.

Ever wondered where the excess Target dollar spot stuff goes? Its here. They did have some name brand things & you can get a good find. Bathrooms were dirty, missing toilet paper & I didnt run into a single worker. No returns, no exchages.

They have hiked up the prices and then apply a discount. Not like it used to be!

A bit chaotic, which can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for. There are definitely great deals, but the environment is stressful and a little sticky. My fiance and I went and very much enjoyed the huge variety of stuff they had for sale. Its definitely a unique place and an experience :)

I love dirt cheap. Ive gotten fit bits for half price. Clothes for $.50 and high end hair products for 70-80% off. You have to check in on a regular because you never know what they will have. The draw back to it is it is messy and you have to hunt for the bargain.

If you like things orderly and neat.. this is NOT the place for you. Stay away! I cringed at every step. The prices arent even that cheap.

This is a store that I could see you would have to really look around to find a diamond in the rough. They have a lot of different items ranging from housewares tools sheets Linens and things of that nature. You just have to do a lot of looking around to find what youre looking for. Its a nice door and the customer service people are very friendly there. It has a huge selection and you can find great deals on clothing.

If youre willing to sift through a lot of junk, youll probably find something worthwhile. Good place for discounted household supplies

Love this store! When they have a sale they really have a sale! I love the fact you never know what they will have in stock. Its like a treasure hunt!

I love hunting for great deals. Often spend too much time looking around at everything. Use their app to check sale prices on items with the QR code. We were able to get a nice brand new stroller for our baby at half price.

A real hit or miss! Sometimes the place is turned upside down, such clutter. At times items neatly stacked if plenty of inventory. A nice pop in venture.

Its a pretty hecktic place to shop. Things are strewn everywhere, and a lot of it is opened or packages missing things. There is cool cheap things though. Today i got a 128 pack of diapers for 17 bucks, originally 35 dollars. And a few other things 50% off the original price. They definitely live up to the name of dirt cheap. But i just wish it was a tad more organized. I feel people disrespect stores that are already cluttered. It was hard finding baby stuff. You really have to dig to find the good stuff.

As its name, stuffs are very very cheap. You can find all sorts of things from dress, electronics, furnitures, toys, pillows, quilts, etc. There are good quality stuffs. But you cant return any products.

Returned items from large stores, such as target. Really good prices. Stock changes week to week. Items are not returnable, so make sure you check them before you leave. The store is a mess, but it makes it feel more like looking for a bargain at a garage sale. Good weekend fun.

Filthy place with good deals if you can find them amongst the broken stuff

This is like a bad organized garage sale in air conditioning. The prices have slowly gone up in the last year. Sometimes your lucky, sometimes your not. Good luck!

If you are searching for good deals and have some time to find them this is the place to go! The store is set up as a clearance house and is a little chaotic to rummage through, however, there are AWESOME DEALS to be found! e.x. I bought a Star Wars action figure (normal retail $19.99) still in good packaging for $1.00!!! Perfect for my Star Wars collecting son and his family. I bought thick, blackout, designer/name brand curtains ($70) for $6.00!! This is just a small sample of the deals to be found. Wear your favorite comfy shoes and plan on spending some time as you will find incredible deals!

How it took me so long to hear about and discover this place is beyond me. Amazing deals!
