Altogether it was nice. The food was great. I didnt get my extra plate, nor did I receive my side order fruit. However I was FYIed that the service is great usually.

TLDR: great local find. Home cooking with a unique twist.Be sure to save room for the great desserts 🍰 and fountain drinks.Salads, burgers, and great breakfast dishes.

This place is so cute and cozy. Very friendly and my waitress was amazing, I wish I remembered her name. I ate the Turkey Club Sandwich and it was sooo delicious 😋

Stopped by the Diner on Main Street in Alhambra, California this evening and had some scrumptious fish tacos and veggie tacos. They were both so good, I cant decide which I like better. Ill def be back for more!

Great service, fresh air, and good food. I had an omelet with avocado, tomato and cheese. I had the option of fruit, hash browns, or potatoes. I choose fruit. It came with two slices of toast. Great first meal of the day!!!

Had the Huevos Rancheros with a screwdriver …. Very good they were, this place hit the spot. I would definitely recommend this place, the service was great, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was nice. Very clean and comfortable, definitely enjoyed myself.

Good breakfast and dessert. I had the bowl of clam chowder (Friday only) and it was tasty, could have been thicker but still tasty. For the main I had chicken fried steak mash and veggies. Filling, veggies tasted so fresh!

Busy!! Especially weekend mornings, but we still got seated within a few minutes. But really, a beautiful and genuine place. Kind people and really really delicious food

If you want good coffee this is not the place, it tastes like they use one spoon of ground coffee for a whole pot, my tea at home has more taste than that. Asked a waitress to change it and she brought another cup of coffee which tasted just as bad and she then told me that she cant do anything about it, basically drink it chump lol. Anyhow ordered breakfast burrito and that came with uncooked potatoes. Anyhow service that seem nice but wont do anything to improve the experience, horrific food and horrific coffee

Best Little Breakfast Diner!!! Such crispy home fries. I got the country eggs Benedict. It was so good... I gobbled it up, before I remembered to take a picture. But my sister had the country omelet and she absolutely loved it.💖💖💖 this is my new go to diner!!

Delicious! The waffles are crisp, the way theyre suppose to be. Zucchini bread was delicious too. Grapefruit juice was refreshing. Overall, def going back.

This is another mainstay for the area. They have amazing food and excellent service. They also have a full bar and games playing. I adore this place as they are the only ones that give out MELTED butter for their waffles! I hate mashing that ball of butter onto waffles. Please let me pour it into every pocket followed by the maple syrup...OOH SO GOOD!

Excellent and prompt service. Everyone is very courteous. The food is delicious and tastes home-cooked. Despite it being an old diner facility it is restored and air-conditioned. It has a full bar and a jukebox. I will definitely be coming back here with my toddler and husband again, and then again at night with my husband for a cocktail.

Ive been wanting pasta so got the chicken and pasta with a delicious sauce. Thought Id leave with leftovers but no. Ate it all. Was so fresh tasting. Small bar off main dining area and great oldies to listen to

Too bad we got there at Old Timers time.The menu has not changed but who ever is in charge of the kitchen changes his taste buds to OLD.IM OLD but my sense of taste works really well. It would really be lying if made very much of a positive remark about how delicious it was.Come on, damn it! Tasty is tasty at any age! This meal did not come up to par in my score book!

Absolutely delicious! I had the eggs with Chorizo and let me tell you, it tasted just like my moms home cooking which is such a comforting feeling.The staff was very friendly and attentive, would definitely come here again.

The servers are doing a good job with the indoor dining, accommodating special requests from the customers.I didnt catch my servers name, but she was attentive and organised and efficient. She helped a bunch of tables quickly including some outside.Always kept my coffee topped up and had a cheerful demeanor.And the person bussing the tables was quick also, getting the plates off and doing a quick disinfection job before the next guests were seated.Look forward to coming back.

Asked for crispy, crispy, crispy, crispy hash browns and corned beef hash. Explained that i always ask for this and usually never get it. Didnt get it. Asked about the fresh squeezed orange juiceit obviously wad NOT. IT LITERALLY TASTED LIKE BOX. Sad misrepresentation of what can i get you?

Decent diner with a full menu. Food is quite good. Waits are not too bad at least if you get there before about 10:30 am on weekends. Service is mostly good.

Half our order was missing, (bread, pancakes, hashbrowns), and they totally ignored the special instructions, paid $6.25 for a piece of carrot cake that was half gone and so thin it was sad. Bits of green carrot too, not sure how old it was.

A charming diner with a variety of well prepared menu items. Diner on Main, Shakers (in South Pasadena) and Canoe House (also in South Pas) are all owned by the same business. Diner on Mains menu is somewhat similar to Shakers, but has a variety of items unique to this location (such as bacon fried rice with Portuguese sausage!) This location is also slightly busier than its counterparts, so they must be doing something right! Service is always great. Try the zucchini bread!

Had written this place off long ago; was pleasantly surprised by the food and service, today. Based on my most current experience, I would return. My breakfast was pleasant, well-prepared, and the service was good.

Our waitress told us she had another table to serve. Then another worker came and took our drink order and then served our drinks. Then he took our food order. Then the waitress finally came back. Then she told my guy after he told her our order was taken IM YOUR WAITRESS!. She was so worked up that someone else took our order. She gradually started raising her voice. As her voice started to get louder infront of the baby she found herself in an arguing with my guy. He then went to go look for the manager inside and then she started to yell at me. Why? Im sitting there with my coffee, no sugar, and my baby didnt even get a straw to drink her drink... We were serve nothing from her but yelling. I wish her serves was more genuine and not just focused on OH MY TIP MY TIP. Maybe then she would have got one?

Classic place to get American brunch in downtown Alhambra. Food is good, and not too expensive. Service is good but could be a little lagging on weekends brunch hour. They have different menu for lunch and dinner. Theres a small bar to the right section and happy hour is from 3:30 to 6:30pm on week days. Ample parking space but each spots are a little tight for bigger SUVs or minivans.Update: been coming here many times since before COVID and glad to see this place is going strong now that businesses are opened again. Food is still good and the service can be still a little slow for weekend brunch.

The only diner on Main St that offers good food. My go to place for Breakfast. Atmosphere vibe is relaxing and welcoming just like your classic diner. Service was fast. Prices are fair and competitive. Staff are friendly and competent. Whats best about this place is their all day breakfast. 😊👌 Weekdays are not as busy compared to rhe weekend. Parking lot is free. Overall, I highly recommend this diner.

Food was ok. I had small side salad and steak sandwich. The steak sandwich did not have any flavor. I enjoyed the salad, the croutons were soft - that was good. Server took long to check up on my friend and I and did not offer us straws for our drinks...😒 My friend ordered the fish & chips, When he picked up one of the fried fish, something started dripping from the bottom, it wasnt oil. I dont know what it was....

Good food, big portion. Convenient location with plenty of parking spaces behind the restaurant Took almost 5 minutes to be acknowledged or seated. I would probably give a 2 stars for customer service - perhaps they were understaffed.

Small town diner atmosphere playing great 50s music (Theres a jukebox too!). Theres a bar area thats separated from the family dining by a dividing wall.Food and service is good too :) Got the Bacon, Swiss, Avocado Burger which is great with the thousand island dressing they give you on the side. Sister got the Bacon Fried Rice with Portugese sausage and she liked it :p

Just finished having a california omlette with hashbrowns and butter toast with a side of orange juice i tell you it was the best omlette I’ve ever had every flavor hit the spot the hashbrows was crispy on the outside soft on the inside soo perfecty cooked everything the orange juice was soo good too fresh from the orange itself i felt the vitamin C right away when i consumed that precious juice! Definitely will come back again

I love this place the food is delicious and service is amazing, plus breakfast all day long and ive been going here with my grandpa my entire life until i moved and the only time i had a minor disconvenience ive had here is when the the maschine they had for shakes was down and am happy this place was here for my morning french toast eggs and baccon for most of my life
